Hey, I am learning the rota right now and it seems that I get the same dps (or even more because I cancel less autos) if I skip Leap of Faith and Binding Blade. And it makes sense from what I see in ArcDPS, those don't have a higher damage per casttime than the GS autohit. What's your take on this?
more dps is 100% possible, i myself had a 42.0 a few weeks ago. i also skipped gs3 there because the skill is just atrocious. generally speaking the rotation in the video is a tiny bit longer than in do it on every boss, at some points u can do gs4gs2 bit earlier and ws to sword a bit earlier. there are 2 main reasons why i did gs3 in the bench 1) its not a bad skill. it is slightly better than gs11, a lot better than gs12 and slightly worse than gs13 (if i got that correctly in mind) 2) total damage wise, it helps for the golem kill, bc more damage on gs means less staying on sword in the end and that was my main issue with getting high numbers. i would stay as high as 42.2 in the 4th number but you would drop to 41.5 or smth when you kill after 2 or 3 aa chains on sword so generally speaking, i hate gs3, on boss i 90% only use it for necessary movement and i do think skipping it completely is good for dps and sanity oh but binding blade is an insanely good skill, never skip. on golem u only have 1 target. but u have to remember that binding blade has 2 instances in the log, one for direct hit and one for the dot. and combined that skill is one of your best non symbol skills
dude idk what it is, i swear to god i have your traits food/ equipment literally everything and i still cant get over 36, idk what im missing dude hahahahha
A lot of people are asking about dropping thief runes. If you substitute eagle instead, take curry butternut squash as your food and use assassin's legs instead of assassin boots. This gives you enough crit chance, and 224 ferocity (15% crit damage) at the cost of 115 power. The damage loss should be extremely minimal and you no longer have to worry as much about positioning. Edit: If you take tin of fruitcake as your utility as well it amounts to a loss of 39 power for an increase of 155 ferocity (i believe this is more damage total compared to just using curry)
dont think any alternative is feasible unless youre willing to sacrifice so much dps that you might as well just play thief and not care about flanking since its still better, might as well just get some flanking hits in once in a while and ignore it, still better than not using it
i havent really played the game in the past month so i can't help you with that. i can only refer you to the snowcrows helpdesk discord, the people there for sure can help you out. you can find the link to the discord on the snowcrows website
there is and always has been a virtues dragonhunter build. it is highly relient on aegis just as the willbender build but it has a harder time refreshing its own aegis. i would say virtus willbender is pug friendly, virtues dragonhunter is not so pug friendly
Are there any animation cancels you do in this showcase and how do you do them? I might be tripping but I swear your greatsword 4 looks wayyyu faster than mine
weaponstow gs4 and gs5 gs3 you cancel the aftercast by just pressing another skill when the gs3 is done gs2 you jsut queue the next skill when the damage from the gs2 is done focus 4 aftercast cancel with weaponswap sword 3 aftercast cancel with weaponstow you can also cancel gs4 and sword3 with movement instead of weaponstow. i always cancel sword3 with movement and gs4 i switch it up depending on how its easier to do for me bc of button layout.
What is the estimated dps output for the alac variant? Tried a lillbit of willbender a couple days ago but my dps output is still pretty shit. Still got like 85-88% dmge output on alacbender so i was wondering whether that would be roughly the same with a proper rotation. I can't really find any alacbender benchmarks out there right now.
it is rather unintuitive since with whirling light or flash combo u get ur hits when u use it and with pf its spread out. but since willbender does not really have a rotation and u have to adapt all the time anyways it is still a good choice
i do not recommend it for fractals. it is highly relient on flank scholar and aegis. i would just play dragonhunter there instead. it is really good for raids tho
@@vojdanandonov998 I’m not sure if it’s still actual question but the same as another stats - you just buy piece with stat selection and choose assassins.
Hi bro, First thaks for the video. I'm try harding this build but my opening is poor compare to you.can you just describe me in detail the opening, i'm sure that i'm missing something
Is this build hard to run? I am curious to give it a go, it seems more defensible so to speak compared to bladesworn. And you dont have a mega attack that if you miss for some reason(cc or something else) your dps goes into the basement.
hard to play bc scholar, aegis trait, and thief runes. also less HP than warrior. but OP healskill+ really lowdps utilityskill thats free to swap for cc and a free 400cc elite skill aswell. you just have to meet the 3 requirements and damage will be good
Would it be possible to run eagle instead of thief and fixing crit via accuracy and/or more assa pieces? I run a lot of fractals so thief is too unreliable in my experience. Would definitely be a benchmark dps loss, but more reliable. Depends if that would be worth doing though. Any thoughts? Ps: I like the music choice
i said this in another comment but im pretty sure the loss of accuracy is not really worth it to make up with assassins, might as well just run thieves and try to get some flanking in, even sideways is fine, its still more dps probably i think, you also lose out on condi damage which you do a decent amount of
@@Nightcrawl7 Hmm fair point. Gotta check discretize. In many fractals getting more than 50% flanking on average is a luxury and some bosses in raids you can't flank at all, hence I was asking.
@@theStamax honest question but which bosses can you not flank at all? i'm pretty sure you can still flank on almost all bosses since the hitbox is pretty forgiving even sideways
@@Nightcrawl7 pweh I'd have to think, but first thing coming to mind are bosses 1 and 3 of wing 6 (3 you can flank in theory, but you usually stack in front of the djinn, and second phase his back is turned to a ledge). Sorry, can't recall the names rn. I'm still fairly new to the game.
there is no real rune alternative since you need so much precision from dropping radience. you should be able to flank on most of the raid and fractal bosses tho. it gets hard on like sabetha, maybe largos and qadim.

is it possible to cancel aftercast animation? like canceling gs4 skill animation?
you can cancel every skill on gs
you can also cancel sword3 and focus 4 and i believe you can cancel the aftercast of purging flames

Something is wrong with my setup i bet. I have 3,3k power and crits are only like 4k.
Any run alternative? thief needs a bit more positioning than I am comfortable with

the training room can apply buffs to you to simulate playing with a team. if you're doing group content, you should always have fury from your squad

yes

if you do not execute everything to 0,1s you get 10k dps less and it is classified as 2/5 skill flor, lmao
I know sword/sword willbender is worse but can it still achieve something maybe similar to sword/focus? (Maybe within ~2k dps difference?)
i doubt that you will even get close to 40k with sword but i never tried it.
but it has real bad damage coefficients and way less hits
@@andygw2 That’s a shame. I just like using specs with their showcased weapon but I guess this’ll have to be a pass. Thanks for the reply!
Why do you have a few assassins items? why not full berserker?
