The room with unused toddler stuff made me quite sad... I can only really think of bad situations where you would decorate a room for a toddler and then not get a chance to use it.

@@mothma_am Has to be, right? Because if you are raising a kid from birth you don't just buy a bunch of toddler stuff all at once. They kind of just transition toys and furniture as they get older. My hope is that the parents were getting a divorce and one set up a new room in a new place for the toddler but they decided to make it work and moved back in together.

I like to look on the positive side, and imagine that it was a foster home, but the kid got adopted before they got put in the foster home, or maybe the kid had a sensory issue or didn't fit

When I lived in my hometown, I had this friend who asked me to take him to this sketchy-ass bodega to sell his vape to some guys. I, trepidatious as heck, knew he’d do this deal regardless if I help him or not. So, this way I can insure he’s not knifed, therefore, I reluctantly agreed. He met the buyers through Facebook Marketplace, the deal was one used vape for one used MacBook. On the way there, my friend tells me “the vape is broken, shhh, I’ll just wrap the bag extra times so they won’t open it.” The deal went down and twenty minutes after I dropped him off at home, he calls me irate, screaming about how the MacBook doesn’t work and “what kind of inconsiderate asshole brings a broken item to a trade?!” The irony was not lost on me. It was lost on him though, he still gets upset that they ripped him off to this day.
