More Automaton propaganda. Please see your local re-education camp immediately for re-education. There are no such things as blue lasers. Only DEMOCRACY!
I love that the Termanid theme has this "will our heroes save the day? Find out next episode!" kind of vibe, and the automatons have a pretty standard sound of a massive marching army, but this one I can only describe as "getting slaughtered by an enemy that thinks of you like an ant" and I am incredibly excited
this one just makes you feel like you are way in over your head, and already way past the point of no return, the other osts were kind of hype-inducing but this one is just pure terror
The thing no one seems to consider is that arrowhead is absolutely setting us up to introduce an entirely new faction further down the line… and I can’t help but wonder, should we be more scared of what we haven’t seen yet? The north sector… is suspiciously quiet.
Whenever I see people eager to fight the Illuminate I just assume this is their first war. More than once we defeated the bugs and cyborgs just to get pushed back into Super Earth by these abominations alone, they get into your head and make you shoot your fellow Helldiver. If you see them, shoot on sight, they won't hesitate to do the same.
Illuminate were my favorite faction to fight in helldivers 1. Their lack of heavy armor meant you could be more flexible with your stratagem loadouts but the big thing with them is to never stand still for long because they will use flanking with teleportation and area denial with shield walls to pick helldivers off one by one. You just had to keep moving with the squids.
I've been a helldiver since 2015 in the first game, ship name is "Ranger of the stars" in honor of my favorite dlc pack the "the ranger pack" the flavor definition for it is just kickass and fitting for me. Illuminates have been, and probably always will be my favorite faction to fight, I was there in the southern front with everyone else who pushed back these space wizards.
Now that we’ve scrapped all the bots, I’m on high alert… there’s just this overwhelming sense of dread that we’re celebrating too soon. Stay frosty out there Helldivers.
Some folks told me that after I commented on another video that the extraction song reminded me of Last Wish. Good to know. And also General Brasch is voiced by the same guy that voices the Drifter. No matter where I go, Destiny will always follow. And I think that's a good thing.
Honestly considering how some Divers had claimed to have gotten hit by what seemed like Illuminate weapons on other planets it would be cool if the Illuminates not only have their own territory but would also send squads to try and intercept Helldivers on automaton planets or even the bugs as maybe a mission modifier

Might be a little preemptive but considering who the Illuminate are these tracks feel very fitting. The Strings really add a cultural sophistication unlike the militaristic bots and savage bugs. The whole theme sounds like a deeply rooted fear of the unknown and true aliens in how we envision them today. This is the theme for a species that's just a little too complex for Helldivers and Super Earth to fully comprehend.
That is pretty on-brand for the Illuminate. Another overlooked aspect of them is that they were hunters; what the Stalkers did in HD1 (and still do in HD2), multiple Illuminate units did in HD1. Their Observers (the units responsible for calling in reinforcements) would cloak and patrol the map very quickly, actively searching for you. Their initial patrolling infantry were snipers that would notice you and shoot at you from halfway across the map. They also had cloaked melee units similar to stalkers but less tanky. The high pitched synth bouncing around in the empty space of the song sounds inquisitive and probing, like they're echolocating (think submarine sonar noises). My prediction is that they will be actively and quickly searching for you, as they did in the first galactic war.

They will come... sooner or later...they will come... And no one will be ready for sheer fuckery of them on level 10
I cant wait for the illuminates but at the same time im oddly terrified of fighting them ☠️
I saw a blue laser once. Only once. I stand ready for the moment the next blue laser is fired at me, and I stand ready to kill the thing that fired it.
Saw them on Marfark tonight. Like blue mortar shells coming down.
It was in the distance, unrelated to Helldiver or Automaton combat.
Illuminates will return with vengeance burining in their eyes!! To arms, Helldivers!!
I just want to remind you all that Illuminate could mind control your character in HD1
Imagine this but in HD2
*Imagine this but they've learned how to type in stratagems*
I imagine the character stumbling around, poor vision, difficulty aiming etc, whatever to make it harder to kill the enemy
I remember the squid people, and I live in fear of what they have in store…
I get a lot the same vibes from The Spots music from the recent Spiderverse movie.
can't wait to have my aim inverted so much that I feel like I'm back in microsoft flight simulator
The squid people are coming back. Its joever 😢
Or would we say it’s…Joelver….
I’m not sorry but I will see myself out.
Me:I'm done fighting bugs and robots. I wish to really test my mettle.
Illuminate:Bonjour
Me:Wait no not like that.
Is this legit??! I mean I can't find anywhere that these tracks are for the Illuminate, but could be, given the "dark-mysterious-arabic-esque" vibe that magic characters usually have lol.
This is legit and not the first person to release the track. It's in the gamefiles
@@helohel5915 that's good, because I already started a synthwave cover of it haha
@@OmenAhead hahaha, you didn't think the song had enough synth already?
@@helohel5915 Yeah well, I'm making in a more "song song" version with a head booping drum beat and hand-played synthwave/industrial synths. That's just what I do on TH-cam hehe.
me and the boys at 3am shitting our pants 🙀
It feels like they're never gonna come
Wait for it everyone was expecting them to come right after the meridian black hole so of course they haven't shown up they're waiting they're moving their cloaked ships into position it will be when everyone let's down their guard and forgets
@@therandomcommenter6629 I wish I had your hopium
I bet the illuminate are in our galaxy now, they got out of the blackhole and into the southern sectors
6:52 is easily the best part
I havent played with the first game, but im terrified. Reversed limbs and teleportation??? Sweet Liberty were fucked
Lisan al-gaib
I'm not sure what this means but a friend sent me a picture of a gummy bear sitting on a gummy worm captioned with it?
@@alexchong1757 its a Dune movie reference its the word the natives of that movie use to refer to the sort of makeshift messiah of theirs. I used the word here to reference how the music sort of reminds me of it
LISAN AL GHAIB 🗣️🔥🔥
Lisan al-gaib!
He is the Lisan al-gaib
You can really hear the Destiny 2: Forsaken in this one
real
god i wish that game was good
@@RetroCube Doesn't matter, Helldivers 2 is the replacement.
@@thatoneswarmdrone6409hope they add some more stuff though like space ship boarding or even some planets where it is more open where you complete objectives for the seaf on a war front (not behind enemy lines like normal) and can extract whenever
helldivers 2 IS the final shape
God this goes so damn hard holy fuck
We saw them appear...then vanish. It's their cloaking devices...
They're gonna make mavelon creek look like a kindergarden
we are so fucking cooked
What have we done with Meridia...slowed, pitched down music is coming from what remains of the planet...I don't think we created a black hole Helldivers...I think we created something much...much worse...
wait, so your telling me...
the portal...
This was the theme of sony when they wanted to add PSN requirements for pc players
they made a song in 7/4 sound so great
Meridia is gone and I am scared
A very, very slowed down version of this apparently is coming from the black hole where Meridia was
@@emojothejojo this message was not approved by the MoT and I remind you that any type of information that is not approved by the ministry of Truth is considered treasonous material and should be dealt with accordingly
@@jimdude7782 For Democracy we shall ensure that the iluminatte are nothing but an obstacle on the way for freedom! Super earth shall fight them all!
Liberty day.... mark my words fellow divers we must protect super earth
I’m scared
Apparently the illuminate patrols might be functional in the game already
I sense great danger
It is time
Soon, very soon...
Kinda vibe from cyberpunkt 2077 from the ending dont fear the reaper
I think we're gonna have special visitors on Liberty Day
They’re gonna kick our asses so hard that we’re gonna wish we agreed to the peace offering
can we get a 10-hour version of this in a loop? 😁
God this gives me chills and not in a good way
This track has a very specific vibe... and the only other one i could even compared it to is from the Comic Adaptation of "Rogue Trooper".
Getting hans zimmer vibes in a Nolan flick
Why is the black hole making similar sounds to this track?
Sounds nothing like it.
@@NotSomeOrdinaryGuy no ill intent, but you should get your ears checked, there's even a video pointing this out, this is where they will come from.
@@Shunazo417 lol I've looked everywhere for this video and haven't found it. Also it sounds nothing alike.
@@Shunazo417 you should link the video you're talking about it cause I've heard this rumor multiple times. I've tried all sorts of audio manipulation myself and can't get it to sound the same. And can't find any definitive proof of this anywhere.
Have you tried speeding it up?
PTSD to the first war 😐
This gives me a Xenonughts vibe
Space Afghanistan space Vietnam and now space Germany
Airtightly boys whos ready to fight the Covenant?
Nothing but respect for our ODST Veterans, but I have the bad feeling that fighting the Illumanits will be even worse than the covenant.
1:23 2:40 5:50 Just leaving these here for later 👍🏻
The automatons are just bots, the terminids are just bugs, but these guys? They're aliens.
more like squids
@@JOPthesilly martians from wotw..? 😢 sense they have a tripod it technically makes them somewhat of a martian and in the original book the martians are squid like creatures
