I'm wondering: 1. Can Nepo win the Candidates three times in a row (which is unprecedented) to re-challenge Ding? 2. Would Nepo someday tweet about congratulating Ding? (I know it's kinda absurd, but who knows) 3. Would Hikaru also willing to participate in the next Candidates (which will be held in Toronto, 2024)
1. Yes, as the current challenger, Nepo is automatically qualified for the next candidates and unless Magnus decides to show up, he has really good chances. 2. 🤷♂️ 3. Hikaru has to qualify for it first. He’s gonna try for sure.
@@icecreamguy553 i mean, his main gripe to the system is the champion is always defending, not competing with everyone else like other sport / competitive event So, if he want to make his own "format" he could compete in the next Candidate, win and abdicate again to compete for the next circuit. Not really good for his brand but he's Magnus.

Gata Kamsky is a clown. LOL why should we expect him to dominate all the future events? Just because he became world champion? 🤣🤣🤣. That's totally disrespect to other super GM. He is very good and super consistent player but he ain't magnus. and no we shouldn't expect him to dominate all future events.
Congrats to Ding. But, it's not like with Magnus Carlsen as World Champion, who is far above everyone else and has been so for a decade and defended his title successfully multiple times. For Ding, it was 7 to 7 in classical, and all but a dead tie in rapid too, except for the last few moves. Ding just barely eked out the victory.
In 2019 Ding had one of his most impressive tournaments at the 2019 Sinquefield Cup. In a field that featured 12 top-level players-the lowest-rated player and only one under 2750 was Nakamura-Ding went undefeated with 6.5/11 points and a tournament performance rating of 2845. He tied with Carlsen for first place, and the two played a blitz playoff match with Ding winning both games. Ding was the first player to beat Carlsen in tiebreak games since Aronian did it in 2007.
@@elimlinrr6898 And? he is super gm - he is supposed to do that once in a while. But Magnus has actual rating higher than that Ding's performance in one tournament.
Rapport's tweet is absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
(That's Rapport's wife hugging Ding in the photo, for those who didn't get it)
Thanks. I didn't get this first time

I'm not sure about that. Have you heard of Go? I guess that's a more interesting game and preferred by kids who are into board games

I dont think chinese would play more chess. The situation is both intrinsically and extrinsically different

In 2016, Carlsen, who is far above everyone else, would have lost the title if Karjakin forced a draw in the beginning of game 10, being 1 point up.
