    When you tell people about the 45 kick they think you don’t know what you’re talking about. They always say “you have to rotate the hips over” , not even realizing that it’s not supposed to be a full round kick. I will now direct them to this video 🫡

    This is exactly the way
    i was shown Karate round house kicks back in the 90s .The old school Japanese Karate guys used the ball of there foot to strike toes back in some of there round house kicks because you could brake the outside
    of you foot on contact.
    And there is even a points sport Karate style of round house kick to the head as well which is different then a traditional Karate round house kick.

    Any suggestions on working on powering am the lead leg round kick? I can get it with the small switch ( which basically brings me into the southpaw position giving my hips more flexibility) is that the reason for my weaker left leg round kick to not feel powerful and isn’t comfortable to do without the quick switch? Thanks! You’re a warrior btw!

    The 45 kick is quite dangerous because if can be catched easily, right?

    • @nicksalvatore5717
      @nicksalvatore5717 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, but it's inherently much faster than Thai style kick. Similar to a snap kick, because you aren't pivoting really.
