- The Star Fruit tree is a low maintenance tree that will yield an abundance of fruit. In Central Florida it will yield fruit twice a year; once in the summer and again in late fall to early winter. You can prune the tree to maintain shape and size. The fruit is rich in Vitamins A,B and C and several minerals and has high amounts of antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties.

Are there any updates on your starfruit tree? Looks so healthy..
I gave it a decent pruning around late March, fertilized it and now it is loaded and looking great.
I have heard they need lots of water but you said you can plant and forget it here in Florida. If so that’s great news!
If they need lots of water it may be when they are young and still establishing the root system. My tree right now is loaded and I have been giving it moderate water. Happy Growing!

Hi how are you keeping your tropical fruit tree a live in cold winter. Do you have to cover with cloth
Yes I have to cover as best as I can the sensitive tropicals. The one I have in containers go inside my back porch. No guarantee the ones outside will make it through a bad freeze.
What variety is your favorite and the sweetest variety in your yard.
If you mean which fruit tree then it is the Sugar Apple that is my favorite.

I love to grow tropical fruit tree but I live in state is very cold in winter and my family’s plan to move in Orlando fl in 2year
