  • A Jeep Libert 2.8L Diesel Must Have Upgrade. (As of 7-1-2024) These come ready to install with a high quality 203F (95C) hemi thermostat and gasket. The higher operating temperature increases combustion efficiency and reduces warm up times in cold weather.
You can find these modified thermostats by searching "Thermostat" in the Jeep Liberty CRD Facebook Group. If you found this video helpful, consider subscribing for more Jeep CRD content.

We no longer have this option. Maybe in the future!
    Any additional thoughts?
We complete work in a small 2 stall garage with limited space. You can do anything you would like to do, no matter the space you have, just plan accordingly and adjust your plans to the size of your workspace. We Believe In YOU!
Are you able to do lots of work in a limited space?
Yes, without question. The biggest issues we face in our 2stallgarage are organization. Keeping the workspace organized and both stalls clear of clutter really helps with motivation, which then helps with productivity. Basically, if I see a clean workspace, I'm much more ready to dive into a project or even just scheduled maintenance.

I'm seeing forums with these higher temp thermostats cracking heads with the crd, and its scary.
2nd thing- what is the viscous heater supposed to do? Dose it do anything good?

That’s not an issue with this thermostat. The cracked heads can happen when people use an aftermarket (in-hose) thermostats.
The viscous heater came OEM on these CRDs. They will warm up the coolant a little (not much) faster.
They are obsolete nowadays. Deleting them means less stress on your engine, serpentine belt idlers, belt, and tensioner.
Any difference the viscous heater made with the coolant temp is made up for by installing this thermostat.
Winter temps shouldn’t be an issue now. Can’t wait to have it for the cold season. Thanks for watching. There are more CRD videos on the channel. Some are older but hopefully still helpful.
      Have a great day!

I use that permatex copper spray on my head gaskets. Works great. Wasn't a fan of the liberty at first but they have grown on me. Wasn't a fan of the 4door wrangler or gladiators at first either till I drove one now I kinda want one 😂

They’ll never be good on looks but functionality wise, they make great MPG (the CRD) and the 4WD works great.
Storm’s here tonight. How’s your summer going so far? Already July. Wow

@@2StallGarage yeah they aren't pretty but better lookn than the compass 😂. We got hit with a storm yesterday. Cooled it down some but didn't las ran the humidity back up. We cookn down here. Heat indexes in the 110+ range with 60-80% humidity make it hard to get much done but we pushing thru it.
