Hey Bhris, They are cable attachments from amazon - nothing special. I just set it up in a way that I can do that specific exercise and it feels amazing ! - Need 4x straps, 4x pulley wheel and a long enough cable to go through them. Pause the video and see where I've attached them. I've used hich pins to go through the rack. It feels commercial grade mate, definitely recommend it. You can also do a single arm variation.. 2 pulley wheels and 2 straps, feels good too ! - You can get real creative with it !
@@EliteProAli thanks for all that detail bro. Cables systems are damn expensive. Been looking for a solution for a while. I’ll look into how you have set yours up. Good to see more Aussie content creators btw!
How long have you been working out ? Are you properly bulking and cutting ? How old are you ? Do you train to failure often ? Are you consistent with external things like sleep, stress, protein intake etc I believe that there hasnt been a single person in history that has reached the limit. Something always breaks first, be it consistency with diet or training, stress levels, hormones (aging), probably even just boredom or not enjoying it anymore, having a family or lacking time etc etc. Yes, the gains slow down to the point of being unnoticable, but if humans could be 25 years old for 200 years and live perfect lives, natural mfs would be huge. At least thats my opinion.
Hiya Billa, - Next year will be 18 years - I am in a surplus - I will be 38 next year - I train to failure / close to depending on the exercise - Yes consistent with all of the mentioned Not trying to sound like a smart ass, but if there were the case people will be reaching close to 0 seconds in 100m sprints lol If we could remain '25' for 200 years, we just won't be able to recover adequetly. We will need more time off to have our tendons, ligaments, cns be back to good enough, by then most likely fitness would have slightly dropped. I'm glad that's what you think man, at the end of the day, whatever keeps you lifting hard. I still lift like my life depends on it lol. My friends who are also pro's and record holders haven't really improved that much (if it all!) THanks for commenting my bro
Its just so hard to get every muscle in your body at peak at the same time, theres always a muscle that can do with more focus but we cant train every muscle balls to the wall every week or less
I’m thinking of transitioning from 2 days fullbody to 4 days upper/lower. Do you think this can work if I keep the volume low on each day. I know you’ve run a similar split in the past. For some basic info, I’m still in my 20s, get 8-9hrs of sleep and don’t have that stressful of a job/responsibilities. I do want to maximise my gains at this stage of life, while I have the time and energy to. It’s just I’ve heard some ‘influencers’ say that you shouldn’t train on consecutive days because of cns recovery. 2 days does work, but I think anything can work if you keep the volume reasonable and manage recovery.
@@Berserk-i3y Hey Zerk. Yeah it can work. Run it like how you want to and if your numbers are heading in the right direction, consistently having "good days", feeling great outside of the gym, then the program works! For me it didn't last long before I experienced the opposite.
@Berserk-i3y You are a smart man. I am sure you will find what you seek. 3x not only solves all the issues I briefly outlined, it also makes me crave going to the gym :) 2 is NOT enough for me, 4 and more is TOO much. Cheers.
Just my humble input that should be taken with a grain of salt and is not by any means a way to discredit you but just to spark some fun discourse. (warning: I really went full nerd-mode with this one, But I love lifting so it's all the same to me lol) Is there a theoretical natural limit for each and every one of us? Undoubtedly Yes. But I personally like to think there isn't a natural limit. Is it delusion? I'm self-aware enough to say, maybe yeah. Lets say I gain 90% of my "theoretical genetic limit" in my 10 years of lifting, 20-25kg of pure muscle mass Now let's say I lift for 30 more years, to gain "the last 10%", if I gain 0.5kg per 2 years thats 7.5kg overall to bring us to a total of 27.5-32.5kg of muscle gained throughout 40 years of lifting (age 20-60). If one started at 60kg FFM he/she would be at 87.5-92.5kg FFM. That would be my natural limit, but not because its a set number, rather its a moving target that will change depending on how much effort one will apply. So I would say the natural limit is in the rate of gaining NOT as in "Oh I am 100kg 20%bf okay I hit my natural limit I guess" The problem lies wherein people hear the statement "There is a natural limit" being made by anyone, be it you, me, or anybody and they take it as an excuse which leads to the mentality consisting of "oh well in that case let's not train hard/stay consistent/put any effort into lifting, we've been lifting for x number of years it doesn’t matter anyway". This excludes injuries/obligations that require one not to lift (such as black swan events, Pandemics, Wars, etc.) I'm talking about using the fact "there is a natural limit" to justify mediocrity. That mentality to me is a black-pilled mental disease that must be avoided at all costs. Just take a look at r/naturalbodybuilding and r/nattyorjuice on reddit. Pits of nihilism in terms of lifting Let's talk analogically here for a second: Is there a limit to the number of books I can read in a lifetime/a limit to the number of books and information my brain will actively remember throughout a lifetime? For Sure. So does that give me the rationale to just quitting reading altogether for the rest of my life? or start skimming through low quality magazines justifying to myself "its better than reading nothing". You get my point. I'd rather have someone go their entire life not fixating on the idea that there is a natural limit than to fixate and dwell on that notion, *especially beginners* just to end up falling into cynicism and pessimism for the rest of their life in terms of lifting. As corny and cliché as it sounds: what the mind believes it shall achieve. Think that you've reached your natural limit in 5 years of lifting, and you have. Think that a natural limit doesn't exist even after 20 years of lifting and it doesn't. All things considered, you raised some valid points Ali, I would like to hear your opinion on this, feel free to critique anything I discussed, and keep the videos coming!
Great take my guy ! I appreciate it. Firstly, I love the way you articulate your self. You are one smart individual. I get where you are coming from and yes, in the forums like reddit or even bodybuilding.com back in the day, people couldn't believe that I was natural. (Granted, photos can sometimes be exaggerated compared to say a video) My mentality is that, despite reaching my limit and knowing I won't be able to make anymore true clear as day gains, I still lift like my life is on the line if that makes sense. And this is because I truly enjoy what I am doing ! And I also believe that it will pay dividends in my later years too ! I get that it's perhaps better to believe that there is no limit so one just chips away at it in hopes of reaching the promised land per say; but I just have a problem with people that say there is no limit in this pursuit. There is a reason why steroids exist, to break past that limit. Most of those people who claim there is no limit and continuely make gains have actually resorted to things like ie; the bendy bar for the deadlift or added slightly more body fat to grow an inch on their arms I hope that doesn't come across as cynical or pessimistic in any way, shape or form ! The only exception for myself specifically is that there may be potential for my arms to grow since I have NEVER taken my arms as serious as any other muscle group. If they don't grow, hey all good, I am still loving the feeling of exhaustion of going all out on them. If they do, woohoo!
@@EliteProAli We both share the sentiment that we love lifting regardless of the visual results and that's where we can find some common ground.
