- Welcome!! A new and most importantly interesting episode about the reconstruction of the farmstead. In the previous episode, we made a wine cellar, in which you might have noticed a strange door, and now we are digging a secret bunker! Enjoy watching!
At the moment we have very little left to finish it. But the project is currently frozen because we are stuck with expensive items such as custom suspension, wheels and car registration. Please support our project!
We will appreciate every dollar.

Weren’t those corrugated sheets in the beginning made of asbestos?
Close your eyes
ahhhhh, pffffff. you just imagining things. 🤣
Yes
🧐 yummy asbestos
It’s ok, safety squints were securely in place
Just loving those blokes smash up the corrugated asbestos sheets without any PPE.....
It may surprise you that not all corrugated cement sheets have asbestos in it.
If it has, and they did it just this time, there's no much of a problem. Asbestos problems appear with the constant contact with the thing for a long time.
They are just buying a handful more tickets each year that the averge person on the disease lottery. (You need 30,000,000 tickets for 100% chance )
It could well be cement board!
@@sirrichardpumpaloaf8154 Nope, that was asbestos.
@@bentheguru4986likely was asbestos, here in Aus it was called Super6, but I know in the UK, parts of Europe and many other locations the same profile is still produced as FC sheeting. I suspect (at least for Aus) that discontinuing the profile made it easier to identify it after that ban.

Secret basement is great, but what you need is another secret escape/entrance that feeds out into the woods
I second this.
Thanks for watching! Nice idea. We'll think about it)
You don't put that on film or tell people about it though, otherwise it's kinda pointless
Disguised as a tree stump. 😂
Hogan's hero's TV show in the USA. Comedy. They had a stump entrance to a tunnel. It was fake for shitty TV show. Also the bottom of a bunk bed was another entrance to a tunnel and a moveable rock covered another entrance.
16:40 concrete must not dry out, but cure instead. You want the concrete to stay wet, to help it cure stronger. If it dries out, it will be a weak structure.
Thanks for watching. Everything is under control
Concrete dries as it sets, it's part of the exothermic process. I think you're confusing dry and wet mixes.
It is stronger cured in water but it's not significant enough to warrant the work keeping it wet for a month unless it's for a runway or some such, even then they don't do it for a month.
Shopping centres, bridges and just about everything concrete is dry cured
This has turned into one of my favorite channels on youtube, great work.

I love it already! Excited to see the finished product.
The best air filters for bunker are the Swedish ones that was designed for submarines.
An old design but very practical, easily powered by hand crank or electric.
Clean air is a critical need for survival.
Remember to disguise the pipe & opening above ground.
They are also very quiet.
All mechanical, no need for electronics.
A bit of lubricant oil once a year & they last for decades.
Just sharing, well done so far.

Massive job!!!But very satisfying to watch.Great job guys.❤
Your main floor weights a ton and the supports are just resting on loose sand? Expect it to sink, and if the bunker walls are just untreated lumber expect that to rot away
Thanks for watching and your concern. Everything is under control
cmon he exposed himself to asbestos , that bunker will be his grave lmao
Great Video 👍
Should have put tar on the wood touching the dirt

Making concrete pillars without underbase doesnt realy make sense? I believe you should first make concrete slab in the bottom and than make the pillars on top of slab. As they are now they can sink...
Thanks for watching. Everything is under control
footings are needed 100% , these guys are just winging it... cool door bro lmao
To make the door "hidden" - you could create similar looking panels around the room. They would all look like decorative panels; except for the secret one that opens 🙂

You guys are the coolest guys on you tube great content always something new and great! secret room screams to me some kind of command center (i.e. small batcave) , multiple monitors , access to the internet, own power grid (preferably solar maybe wind or both)and security/hidden camera access to all over the property and house triggered by motion sensors with facial recognition software . oh and a intercom system to front door and throughout. That would be my dream. That may seem lavish and a little difficult but hey , you never know until you try!

why didn’t you guys use concrete for the floor instead of brick. You will get moisture and mildew to that place.
Yes, wood slab floors would be amazing, and maybe you could turn it into a home theater the bunker and this build is turning out amazing
But it will be huge problem if the wood gets wet, or damp affects the wood.
Thank you so much! It will be interesting. Sub and keep on watching
Secret bunker surounded by fresh sand mounds of bunker sized volume. :)
If i have sand ( rather than our clay and rock ) under my house id be digging a bunker too. Just because its cool, and also actually cool in our summer.

You should go with the Dumbledore spiral staircase Hydraulically lifted from below the hidden room. Lifting a concrete circle lid.
And you should mount compressed air on one side of your router table and a dust collector on the other. With a compressed air nozzle wide but blowing towards a gap in the center, it will clear sawdust and cool the router bit at the same time.
Run Fores run.

Con hormigón y varillas de hierro, es como hacemos las casas en España, desde hace muchas décadas. Pero si no ponen aislante líquido, la humedad entrará. No se debe utilizar madera, se pudre y no evita la entrada de agua. Muy mal.

Well done. It is probably safer to hide in plane sight, but each to his own.
Very interesting and well documented. Will the walls in the bunker stay made of wood? I would imagine that wood against soil would eventually rot. As far as ideas for setting up the bunker, you could take ideas from mini-homes to have a bed that lifts into the ceiling and some non-perishable food items and some means for preparing the food.
Thanks for watching and your ideas. We'll think about it. Sub and keep on watching
Ciao ragazzi. 😊 Vorrei vedere il fine del bunker.. se avete finito.

Recommend going to the doctor EVEN if you don't feel anything! That's Blue Asbestos! IM NOT KIDDING!
Nice smashing corrugated asbestos sheets 😢 rip
no footings on their concrete pillars , shits gonna sink , i wouldn't trust that especially with 6 tonnes of concrete above
In terms of security, covert is always better than overt. If people don’t even know it’s there, they have nothing to attack. I’m not sure of the ultimate purpose of your bunker, but discreetly located external CCTV cameras are a must. Not located on the building structure, but on/in trees looking back to the structure.
Thanks for watching! It's just for fun. To get new experience
Wow they put a lot of water in that concrete

Some people are very short sighted and have no imagination or thought for what could happen in the future. I like this project and it is giving me ideas to think about, especially since these guys are doing this on their own. I could do this with my house, but I am less than a mile from Lake Michigan so future flooding or lake level rising would not be good for our bunker. I have another idea for this and that is to make a barge on land under our house, as lake levels rise the barge will rise with our house on top of it. I have seen some videos where the Dutch are doing this as ocean levels rising is going to put their country under water.

Well done with the concrete work. Little sidenote: The joints of those pavers should not form crosses. As there is no traffic i dont think this will be a problem.

Did an engineer sign off on this? Just taking estimates and that looks like over 22,000 pounds of concrete over your heads (assuming 15 ft x 15 ft x 20cm)... I hope someone did the math and the plans were followed precisely.
Thanks for watching and your concern. Everything is under control
plans? lol where are the footings
If I may ask:
I'm from the US, and I am interested in the approximate cost of this job?
I have such lumber envy. The dimensions of those framing timbers are just spectacular, unless we are using a really small local mill, our lumber is pathetic in comparison.
This is a really awesome project.

16:22 I would have tried to break the rock, it could be a geode or even have fossils inside, making it a beautiful piece of decoration. If not, at least it would already be broken into smaller pieces and could be removed.

On your floor, use two part Paul urethane, resin or two two-part resin depends on what you can get your country and it’ll make the floor look classy and you have a really nice looking floor. You can also use two-part epoxy, resin for making fake wood and all kinds of stuff, fake looking stone and all kinds of stuff.

@@aaronrdaniels wow! Great you are
I think you should add some 'glow-in-the-dark' highlights in the cellar!! Maybe just some patterns that match with the door's style... but they could be simple like the edges of the 9 support columns and around the edges where the columns and walls meet the ceiling.... And you could get the type of glow-in-the-dark paint that you don't really see in daylight, or with the lights on, but if you use UV bulbs (the traditional, fluorescent 'blacklight' bulbs/tubes before the LED UV bulbs were invented.... the LED bulbs give off a LOT of extra "white-ish" light whereas the original fluorescent bulbs/tubes just make UV paints glow and not really light everything up brightly like the LED type)
So with the right paint and keeping the blacklight bulbs fairly hidden, it will look like JUST the highlighted areas are glowing.... Oh and maybe you could add some additional UV/blacklight LEDs to the pattern in the door so it lights up the way you have it now, but then you have a switch to change all the lights to the blacklights and reveal a totally different looking bunker!! - The typical, well lit, classy look, and then you switch on the blacklights (and all the brighter lights turn off) and a WHOLE BUNCH OF HIDDEN DRAWINGS SUDDENLY APPEAR (because they are only visible with the blacklight/UV light) AND YOU'RE TRANSPORTED INTO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, MAGICAL WORLD!!!! .... Just an idea... maybe it will inspire you to come up with something else :)

I don't know if it is accurate .but, As far as i know the pillars need base support underneath otherwise the pillars will start sinking slowly. Hope it is wrong.😊
Nope, you are correct. The columns are pointless without significant footings. Even worse as they are small point loads on soft sand rather than having loads spread out over a large pad. The timber retaining walls and the perimeter of the upper slab will end up being the supports, and likely result in some serious cracking and movement.

Might want to attach wire mesh screens on the oxygen pipes to stop hungry vermin doing what vermin do?
Breaking up asbestos sheets and welding galvanised steel. Great work on the build, but everything has its consequences.....eventually 😢
No footers under the columns and the wood will rot and is not strong enough anyway.
Should have been footings under those columns
shhh lol , so many problems , no footings holding up 6 tonnes of concrete ....
I must have missed it, but i didnt see any footings before the boxing of the columns. Being only sand it expect some serious footing would be needed.
Is the centre column just for supporting the slab? What led to not going with a beam or engineering the slab to not need a big coloumn in the middle of the space?
Question why didnt you waterproof the bunker? Wouldn't it just flood if you get bad rains through the sand and wood walls?
Isn’t it going to be damp down there & mold can grow, also how about the ground water seeping in? No waterproof membrane? Drainage?
mind the asbestos sheeting
Lance, thanks for watching and your concern. Everything is under control
