Great stuff as always. Since the Dreadnought was covered into this video, i hope to see a Hyperion Gundam development history, since its also related to the Umbrella of Artemis!
The Ginn hi-maneuver type 2 was shown as more capable because all of their pilots were highly skilled veterans of the first war. All which were fanatics of Patrick Zala's ideals. It's similar to how zeon veterans preferring to get a zaku high mobility type over getting a gelgoog or Rick Dom in the later stages of OYW.
Love your channel and loving the lore. Wasn't it because the Freedom and Justice and their later upgrades had a nuclear fission reactor or N jammer canceller. to keep the Trans phase shift going indefinitely?
So they had the GuAIZ on the design board prior to the theft of the Gundams. And once they got the technology, they took their original GuAIZ design and reworked it to incorporate the new tech. That something I did not know and I search for intel. And I did not know that the N-Jammer Canceler was located in the head of the Dreadnought. Again, I did search. Guess its the same with the other nuclear powered Gundams? It was sad about the GuAIZ R. We don't even know WHEN it rolled out? Or what pilots thought about it compared to the original?
Wish those were mainstay in Destiny. The EFT variant could also be improved upon and making a derivative for ZAFT elite soldiers. That subflight system could assist in atmospheric battle.
Looking at the time frame in which the N-Jammer was "developed" alongside the customized delivery vehicles used to put them beyond the reach of any Earthbound powers (or even ZAFT themselves) I have come to believe that the N-Jammer and the plan to deploy them on Earth were already completed and in existence BEFORE the Bloody Valentine and that attack was allowed to be carried out so the Coordinator Supremacists would have a Causis Belli for declaring war and carrying out the attack.
@@williambenedictalava2634 GuAIZ Experimental Firearms Type is my favourite GuAIZ variant. Heine should've use it in Destiny. That sub-flight system could've save his life.
the way i see it, its basically like a "lets imagine a new unit from the ground up" kind of thing. it happens alot, with people designing new things to do the job, instead of how to make something better. besides, they did continue the development of the guaiz, with the guaiz R. which came out after the zaku.
Unfortunate timing mostly. Destiny came out for the 25th anniversary of Gundam, and Bandai wanted to push out the classic models with an "updated" line using the Cosmic Era as a showcase. The idea would be that they could sell the new and old kits alongside each other, so ZAFT's design language had to go from UC-inspired to UC-adjacent.
@@bzoner16 i like the redesigns, to me, they are far better than the crap f90 pulled with the "oldsmobile" BS. it was even more insulting because it went as far as remaking the "last shooting" scene.

Said it before, but I'll say it again; why did they go with "N Jammer Canceller" when they could've gone with the maybe equally creative but far more elegant "Anti N Jammer"
I love the experimental firearms types hip rail guns so much I put them on my custom Astray series including the M1 variant, I made them from scratch but regardless. I also put a scope on the rail guns as well for better accuracy. And the EFT Is the only reason why I want to get a Justice gundam Just so I can put the backpack onto a guaiz to make a eft variant
Been working on a GuAIZ EFT HG conversion for a long time now. Sadly the NG 1/144 GuAIZ kit is pretty bad so instead I'm modifying a HG Dreadnought with a GuAIZ head, HG Freedom rail cannons and Fatum from my old RG Justice.
Speaking of ZAFT Gundams, is there an In-Universe explanation they used Gundam heads instead of mono-eyes? I don't think it's the same case with the Titans in UC
if not mistaken there is three Guaiz Experimental Firearms and one of them used by Heine Westenfluss but I cannot get confirmation from wiki. but I pretty sure I can find from manga I forgot which manga, main SEED I think
GuAIZ so cool it deserves HGCE at very least, any mobile suit deserves more than old jointless 1/144 SEED line IMO now that fine build is a thing heck they can even release it as P-bandai just like daughtress.
The GINN and the GuAIZ were one of my favorite MS from seed, design wise. It sucks to see that the author decided to go for nostalgia bait by putting Zaku, Gouf, and Dom into the series. Wish they had a better treatment rather than being swept under the rug.
The GuAIZ and GINN give Cosmic Era more identity originality. GuAIZ R should've been ZAFT mainstay in GSD. A high performance derivative based on the Experimental Firearms Type would used by ZAFT red elites and high ranking officers. Heine should've pilot it in his colours. I can imagine Lunamaria's custom GuAIZ R already. Instead of the DOM, it should've been a MS derived and based off the Duel Assault Shroud but the armour isn't detachable like Duel's but instead it's a modular armour with levels of protection such as level I which is the base form is similar in shape and mass to the Duel AS while level III is a bolt on armour which result the suit is as bulky and thick as the FAZZ from ZZ. As for the GINN, just give it the ZAKU torso and done.
Yeah. We could start with Kira getting killed by the Aegis, and Orb not getting the data they needed for the M1 Astray's OS. That's already a big blow that will also affect the other protagonists of the Seed side stories. Basically, Zaft wins the war unless they wipe each other out.
Looking back, I can't help but wonder why didn't ZAFT retrofit the Dinn for space? It's literally just gonna collect dust in hangers while the final fights are happening in space. Why not make them space worthy and use them!?!?
I love to play with the Guiaz Experimental type but it's not in Crossrays :( not helping much is me using Destiny Impulses despite a rather energy problem.
Gaia's test pilot was Riika Sheder, a Coordinator who can't see a thing without her specialized glasses. Courtney Heironimous and Mare Strode were the test pilots for Chaos and Abyss respectively.
I’m torn because I like the Zaku Warrior and Gouf Ignited, but it’s disappointing that the GuAIZ got replaced by UC designs. The GuAIZ and GuAIZ R are great designs, and the Experimental Arms type makes sense, I just wish we’d gotten more variants of it, and frankly that applies to every grunt in CE in general. Most especially on the Earth Alliance side of things.
Never heard "dreadnaught" in reference to a person, neat, I've only ever seen it as a reference to either the ship, the category of ships, or other things named in reference to those things. (That and it's apparently an archaic term for a heavy overcoat), Also, "Beam reamer" is hilarious, no idea how you managed to say that one without laughing.
A pity there were never any(good) models or figures of the GuAIZ. For all the things I hold against SEED and the Cosmic Era I did find their take on the progression of monoeye mobile suits and how they compare to their OWY counterparts interesting... at least up until Destiny just made straight up knock off Zakus, Goufs, and Doms. No Gelgoog though, and while perhaps that's for the best I am moderately curious how it might have looked... and no, the Mars Jacket doesn't count!
You can't change my minds, that the GuAIZ is a more advanced mobile suit than the Zaku Warrior, the Dom Trooper and the Gouf Ignited all together. The designs of those three machines look outdated, even when you compare them to the GINN. The fact that they could go against the Windam (which was reduced to an even worse Leo) was comically indeed.
Part of me wishes that a descendant of the GuAIZ was the main ZAFT grunt in Destiny

@@tyhy1 funnily enough, that can be thanks to the fact that they use variations of High-Z Metal Foams in their shielding construction, given that this is the first Gundam that outright states that they know that metal foams exist.
@@TheTrueAdept im sure that they mention it in the books somewhere in every series. but in the anime it rarely, if ever, comes up.
Age and Witch from Mercury(I think?) notwithstanding, of course.
As a GuAIZ fan, this video about my favorite mass produced Mobile Suit is greatly appreciated!
HGCE, please...!
I also coincidentally grabbed a Dreadnought HG to kitbash a G3 Saviour Gundam.
stuff like this is why im subscribed to this channel, if I ever cant remember something about a mobile suits history or lore or even other gundam lore. I can always count on Kakarot to give me that good stuff and feed my addiction to gundam.....

Tbh the guaiz head dreadnaught is one of my personal favourite looking ms
I wondered why one of the Dreadnaught units had a Guaiz head in the Crossrays game.
They explain it in the game though.
I'm ngl I kind of forgot that the freedom and justice were originally Zaft ms
Yup, both design aren't made for villain, unlike Providence.
neat! next is Freedom & Justice >
Damn the GuAlz got shat on in the end and oh the Dreadnought. I know about that thanks to Cross Rays and overall sick history lesson again and can't wait hear about Kira's first broken machine before he became God and Athrun's good machine.
Twin beam claw shield. I don't know how but the Ram Z'Gok is trying to get a lawsuit about this.
Honestly that Guaiz has my keen interest now. Guaiz R sounds more practical, what with the giant guns instead of the hip mounted claws, but I'm sure one could strike a happy medium.
Could you do a video on the Destroy Gundam? That thing was a beast!
Glad to see this! The GuAizR is in fact my favorite mobile suit ever. Of all time. Not just from SEED (the first series I watched) but out of all the series I've watched. Someday I hope a Master Grade Gunpla of it gets released so that I can have one of my very own.
Great stuff as always. Since the Dreadnought was covered into this video, i hope to see a Hyperion Gundam development history, since its also related to the Umbrella of Artemis!
AND I CANT WAIT!!! i wish you could make a development history of my all time favourite the leo
Can you do a video of the top 5 potential MG Ginn variants???
Love your channel and loving the lore.
Wasn't it because the Freedom and Justice and their later upgrades had a nuclear fission reactor or N jammer canceller.
to keep the Trans phase shift going indefinitely?
man, with Bandai releasing Windam and Dagger-L, i hope they give the Guaiz (or Guaiz R) the HG treatment too.
While I'm a little meh on the GuAIZ the Dreadnought is really underrated to me.
I love SEED acronyms.
Disconnected Rapid Armament Group Overlook? Operation Network.
Generation Unsubdued? Nuclear Drive Assault Module.
Haha
New development video! YEAH!
You're an amazing Gundam Storyteller 💪🏽😎
So they had the GuAIZ on the design board prior to the theft of the Gundams. And once they got the technology, they took their original GuAIZ design and reworked it to incorporate the new tech. That something I did not know and I search for intel.
And I did not know that the N-Jammer Canceler was located in the head of the Dreadnought. Again, I did search. Guess its the same with the other nuclear powered Gundams?
It was sad about the GuAIZ R. We don't even know WHEN it rolled out? Or what pilots thought about it compared to the original?
The head-mounted N-Jammer canceller is indeed only on the Dreadnought.
@@echos5823 Forgot that happened to the Freedom.
Whoa. That screenshot of Mayura Labatt's M1 Astray before it got its torso fried caught me by surprise. The edges of my eyes nearly teared up.
As you were talking about the N-Jammer Canceller, the Earth Alliance had begun development on the N-Jammer-Canceller Canceller.
I really found the railguns on the Guaiz R cute in its unfolded form.
I like the ZMF-601R GuAIZ R. The railguns are a simple upgrade but it adds to the firepower and versatility of the unit.
Wish those were mainstay in Destiny. The EFT variant could also be improved upon and making a derivative for ZAFT elite soldiers. That subflight system could assist in atmospheric battle.
I hope the guaiz gets master grade!
Or at least a RE/100.
A huge part of me wishes that they would make a 1/144 HG of the original GuAIZ.
I kinda want to know more about the hyperion and the dreadnoughts pilots
Looking at the time frame in which the N-Jammer was "developed" alongside the customized delivery vehicles used to put them beyond the reach of any Earthbound powers (or even ZAFT themselves) I have come to believe that the N-Jammer and the plan to deploy them on Earth were already completed and in existence BEFORE the Bloody Valentine and that attack was allowed to be carried out so the Coordinator Supremacists would have a Causis Belli for declaring war and carrying out the attack.
I hope we could get a Gelgoog development history in the near future, or any other video on this series, i really appreciate them

The GINN is already the Zaku of CE. The GuAIZ is the CE equivalent of UC Gelgoog or maybe the Geara Zulu.

love this series, keep up the good work
I love how you can see Zeta Gundam's influence on new models.
This does make me wonder, why did they move to the design of the Zaku (reminiscent of the UC era) instead of continuing its own design lineage...
the way i see it, its basically like a "lets imagine a new unit from the ground up" kind of thing. it happens alot, with people designing new things to do the job, instead of how to make something better.
besides, they did continue the development of the guaiz, with the guaiz R. which came out after the zaku.
@@marcosdheleno Yea, but its still a shame that the R was the last of its line.
@@bzoner16 i like the redesigns, to me, they are far better than the crap f90 pulled with the "oldsmobile" BS. it was even more insulting because it went as far as remaking the "last shooting" scene.
it would be super cool if one day you did a video on the development history of the x1-destroy from seed destiny
@Shadow Hyperion true
The Dreadnought looks an awful lot like the Moon Gundam…
I hope they keep making MG seed & HG Seed Destiny kits.
Some HG Revive G weapons, Akatsuki, Murasame, or Legend
A 1/100 Cgue, Guaiz, Raider, Forbidden, Strike Noir, or Strike Dagger
Said it before, but I'll say it again; why did they go with "N Jammer Canceller" when they could've gone with the maybe equally creative but far more elegant "Anti N Jammer"
not gonna lie, i think "anti-stuff" is such an overused therm that it kinda sounds bad at this point.
@kakarot197 question of the week: what are your top 10 mobile armor of all the Gundam franchise??
Been working on a GuAIZ EFT HG conversion for a long time now. Sadly the NG 1/144 GuAIZ kit is pretty bad so instead I'm modifying a HG Dreadnought with a GuAIZ head, HG Freedom rail cannons and Fatum from my old RG Justice.
If you making strike freedom and infinite justice development history, please add information how clyne faction has a facility to make Gundam
Yeah ! Strike Freedom!
Speaking of ZAFT Gundams, is there an In-Universe explanation they used Gundam heads instead of mono-eyes?
I don't think it's the same case with the Titans in UC
I honestly thought it was them mocking the alliance since they stole four of the g weapons
Looking forward to the next one
Always loved the design of the Guaiz R, looks way better than the original, just too bad it got shafted real quick.
if not mistaken there is three Guaiz Experimental Firearms and one of them used by Heine Westenfluss but I cannot get confirmation from wiki. but I pretty sure I can find from manga I forgot which manga, main SEED I think
GuAIZ so cool it deserves HGCE at very least, any mobile suit deserves more than old jointless 1/144 SEED line IMO now that fine build is a thing heck they can even release it as P-bandai just like daughtress.
The justices legs were from one of those mobile suits
OH YEA MY FAVORITE GUNDAM GETS TO BE TALKED ABOUT- Yes it's the Freedom.
Man imagine how fucked up the Cosmic Era would be if Lowe didn't exist
Like the guy was pretty much almost behind the scenes of things unintentionally
Does the name GUAIZ have a meaning like every other seed mobile suit?
Imagine getting enough development in mobile suit technology to STILL fall below Zaku level...
2:50 RIP Asagi
I love to play with the Guiaz Experimental type but it's not in Crossrays :( not helping much is me using Destiny Impulses despite a rather energy problem.
Guiaz R is tho
Freedom and Justice Development... Let's go!!!
I didn't know the Chaos Gundam had an original pilot.
Gaia's test pilot was Riika Sheder, a Coordinator who can't see a thing without her specialized glasses. Courtney Heironimous and Mare Strode were the test pilots for Chaos and Abyss respectively.
@@Joshua_N-A Cool! Thanks for sharing this lore, I learned something new.
@@zetsugami00 Mare survived the shootout when the trio stealing the Gundams.
(That and it's apparently an archaic term for a heavy overcoat),
Also, "Beam reamer" is hilarious, no idea how you managed to say that one without laughing.
Man sucks it ended the way it did seems so interesting
can not wair for the freedom and justice development history
A pity there were never any(good) models or figures of the GuAIZ. For all the things I hold against SEED and the Cosmic Era I did find their take on the progression of monoeye mobile suits and how they compare to their OWY counterparts interesting... at least up until Destiny just made straight up knock off Zakus, Goufs, and Doms. No Gelgoog though, and while perhaps that's for the best I am moderately curious how it might have looked... and no, the Mars Jacket doesn't count!
At least the zaft zaku and gouf got some major upgrades while paying homage to the zeon versions
The Guaiz got the treatment of the GM D type
You can't change my minds, that the GuAIZ is a more advanced mobile suit than the Zaku Warrior, the Dom Trooper and the Gouf Ignited all together. The designs of those three machines look outdated, even when you compare them to the GINN. The fact that they could go against the Windam (which was reduced to an even worse Leo) was comically indeed.
I feel like I’m in class before the battle
Been waiting for this
