It may not be ECE rated because HJC don’t want to have it SHARP rated. I stopped wearing my RPHA 11 pro when I saw that it only gets three stars. And the poor protection is near the side/temple area that is vulnerable.
I am unsure of why HJC did not submit the carbon for ECE testing when the other versions pass that cert. To be fair the US DOT standard is not a bad standard. The biggest issue with it is that it is done on the honor system and not all helmets have to be submitted for testing. For me this is a concern with unknown brands. With established brands like HJC and others my expectations are their helmets will all pass DOT. The Sharp standards are more of a UK or euro deal that do not carry much weight here in the US. Part of the reason for this is many of the helmets that are sold in Europe differ from those sold here in US. Often times passing the DOT standard will result is changing the helmet a bit (typically ends up a little heavier so I would guess stiffer). With that said it is quite possible the test results for the helmets sold in the US could be different than you see with the ECE only model. Also important to note Sharp is not without their own problems. - Van

I'm sure the regular rpha 11 scored poorly on side impacts too.😯
I am unsure of why HJC did not submit the carbon for ECE testing when the other versions pass that cert.
- Van
What is that size sir ?
At 58cm I wear a medium in this helmet. - Van
I was getting the Shoei Rf-1400 but now I’m get this this helmet instead. Hjc 👌
Both are excellent helmets. - Van
What is the difference between the HJC RPHA 11 Pro Carbon Fiber helmet ($619/USD) and the HJC RPHA 11 Carbon Fiber BLEER helmet ($421/USD)?
I just ordered the BLEER.......
They are the same helmet, one has a graphic and the other is plain carbon. The retail price here in the US is the same for each one. - Van

Thank you. 👍
It looks like its now ECE certified, as they are selling it in Europe and vendors state its ECE
The ones that are being imported into the US are not ECE. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear the real question would be is it the exact same helmet though. Maybe they didn't want the extra cost of ECE cert for the US market. I'm curious to know if anything is actually different between the ECE and DOT version. Have you found anything out yet?
Nice lid, and love carbon, but not much for gloss...if it were matte finish I would consider. Keep up the great reviews.
Thanks for watching! - Van
خوذه جباره بمعنى الكلمه 👌🏻
وزن خفيف، عزل جبار، جودة رائعه، شكل مخيف
Thank you for watching, I have no idea what this says. - Van
dang too bad - no ECE rating :( looks nice though!
Because of the stiff carbon shell. That’s my guess.
I am not sure why they did not submit this for ECE. My expectations are it would pass as there are plenty of other helmets with carbon shells that pass the ECE cert. - Van
I do not think that is the case. There are several other brands that offer carbon shells with an ECE or even Snell cert. AGV, Bell and Scorpion are a few. - Van
The RPHA 11 is 3.2 lbs. The carbon model is lighter than that.
To be fair 3.2 is already crazy light. - Van
The cheek EPS is too thin like nothing in there....
This will vary with each size. I have a couple of these in size medium and find this helmet to be super comfortable. - Van
i rather buy the rf1400 if your a trackday rider and or canyon carver. but if your a street squid and your dumb why not. lol
