      I’m pretty unimpressed with my metabo gear and I’ve bought a lot of it. I’ve had issues with my jigsaw, impact driver, circ saw, and grinder. They’re 2.5years old and I wish I’d bought makita or Bosch.

    Good to see that Matabo's own line of tools is still evolving after the corporate changes. Its also good to see the pros using structural screws like those HeadLoks, tap cons, etc. As a first time home owner I find that such fasteners, paired with a cordless impact driver, make a lot more sense for remodeling work compared to other fastening methods.

      @@ConcordCarpenter Thats good to hear. If this is the case there does seem to be a bit of confusion on the internet about this. Its good to see that Metabo came out with an impact driver that seems more on par with their line of drills.

    Let's be honest. At this price point any of the big hitters will suffice for most people, most of the time. For my lighter work I absolute love my Bosch blue professional 10.8v (now 12v) kit but my 18v gear is all Metabo. Their battery tech swung it for me and I have never regretted it. Just for good measure I have a Dewalt table saw and Dewalt slide compound (both mains). I couldn't be happier.

    So the latest Metabo HPT triple hammer can be had for around $200 after taxes (with charger, nice hard case and 2 batteries). I see the Metabo (Germany) 1/4" is still going for around $500 per kit... is it REALLY that much better than the triple hammer because if it is then it has to be the best impact driver mankind has ever conceived. The triple hammer is so good already

    Hasn't metabo renamed to metabo hpt?

    • @mihanovak2228
      @mihanovak2228 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Metabo hpt is a separate brand

    • @ITubeTooInc
      @ITubeTooInc 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No. Hitachi Koki power tools have been renamed to Metabo HPT in North America and HiKOKI in the rest of the world, while Metabo is still named Metabo all over the world. The dark green Metabo is a completely different line/brand of power tools than the lighter green Metabo HPT/HiKOKI/Hitachi Koki power tools with separate battery platforms. Hitachi Koki acquired German power tools manufacturer Metabo in 2016.
      Hitachi does not own Hitachi Koki anymore, that's why they renamed it to Metabo HPT/HiKOKI. Don't know why they chose different names for North America and the rest of the world. It only adds to the confusion and makes it harder to google for reviews for example. It makes it even more confusing that they chose the name Metabo HPT for North America when there already a completely different brand of power tools just named Metabo. Even though Metabo is now owned by HiKoki/Metabo HPT.

      @@harveysmith100 Grinder: grinding small angle iron etc, bearing shot to pieces now it makes a terrible noise & wobbles. Impact driver, (used 2nd time only ) putting in roofing screws & the trigger mech died. No power through it. Drill: used most but the Quick chuck bolt on the inside fell out. I put back in myself with locktight. The led light stays on when you pull the trigger. Has done out of the box. I was finding it flicking on & off hours after using it. Also the anti kickback is way too sensitive when using the drill on angles. Pretty poor for 2 years & 1mth worth of use.

    12 speeds you say? - Well that's 10 speeds I won't be using.
    Nah, this is shill, bought-and-paid-for spin and bs
