Young Man, I throughly enjoy watching your videos on the MPC era Train Sets and your love of the Train Hobby, your videos shows that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on our train hobby to have fun. I’m also glad to see you the younger generation into the model Train Hobby, we need you young men and women to keep our great hobby going for generations to come! A big thank you for what you do for our great hobby. 👍👍🚂🚂

I enjoyed your video and your explanations. The Southern set is definitely unique with the green molded plastic, and I think it is attractive.

That is awesome. I got that set the day after Christmas in 1973 half price from Kresgee. I love those tenders. If the belt breaks on the tender drum I have replaced them with silicone wrist bands. Great video and congratulations. Abd you got the original box. Those bells are easy to replace.

What a lot of Lionel Collectors forget, especially those who denigrate the MPC era Lionel trains is that most of these starter sets were sold as Children’s Toys, for children. My first Lionel set was an MPC starter set with a 2-4-0 loco, no smoke or headlight ( I’ve since added one) and similar freight cars. The only difference is the loco that came in mine was a metal casting. In the U.K. Lionel has a rarity value and tends to fetch quite high prices even on eBay. I have a Marx 666 which is a better locomotive and with a Lionel tender is quite able to pull Lionel cars.
