Outstanding thoughts and teaching! Having spent a lifetime on and around horses the topic of bridles touched me and rested heavily on my soul. Thank you for you poignant thoughts on a great section of scripture!

I needed this today. I have been truly blessed and my family has also because I paid attention to what Heavenly Father was teaching as I prepared my own gospel doctor lesson for tomorrow. I was tired but I remained steadfast preparing my lesson about the power of prayer and blessing my own daughter in her trials and her being lifted up. My listening and praying made miracles happen in her life. Repentance is coming in full circle in her life as it has in my earlier life. May God bless us all to listen to the spirit and know what the Lord Wants to happen to you in blessing other people including our own children! I was able to bless my own daughter from a long distance away and have her lifted up in the middle of one of her trials that had literally taken over her life. May God bless us to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit

I ABSOLUTELY love your experience. I needed to hear this myself and read of your experience. I have also asked for blessings from afar and received them. I am glad you did this and I am praying for your daughter. Make a few extra appointments to go to the temple. Those you do work for will be by your daughters side :)

I am so grateful for you three Brothers and all others who have spent significant portions of your lives learning about important things and your willingness to teach and to share. I’ve listened to hundreds of Come Follow Me podcasts/broadcasts the past few years and this episode is one of my favorites. Tyler, only the Lord knows how many people, directly and indirectly, who have been blessed by you following the spiritual impression/commandment, “Don’t close any doors!” Thank you!!!!!

Thank you Taylor for the insight on wisdom literature. I want to start reading the BoM from the beginning again and search for these portions on wisdom literature.

    I find this so fascinating.
Chiasmus means “crossing” or “to cross.” The structure focuses us on the center most important element… typically Jesus.
The word temple derives from Greek “temenos” meaning to cut or cross. The purpose of the temple the center holy of holies where God dwells.
The word covenant was anciently made by “cutting” the covenant. Ritually they could “cut” an animal. The purpose of the covenant was to center and remember God’s sacrifice.
Christ died on the cross thus we get the word “crisscross” aka “Christ-cross.” The center of the cross pointing to Jesus.
Chiasmus - “crossing” - centered on Jesus
Temple - “to cut” or “to cross” - centered on Jesus
Covenant - “to cut a covenant” - centered on Jesus
    Cross - “criss-cross” - centered on Jesus
So much symbolism of crossing, cutting, focusing on the center, the intersection which is always Jesus!

This episode includes a beautiful painting depicting God the Father at about the 40 minute mark. Who is the artist?
