Almost doing the same on my end. My Mazda 3 is only a 2019 so I don't mind waiting for year 2 or 3 for Mazda to sort out the kinks of the CX-70. I would have liked to hear more regarding the electric range & power and transition between EV & hybrid hiccups. My lifestyle fits perfectly a 50km electric range plug-in hybrid, I'm always surprised how few people seem to like plug-in hybrids.
I understand and agree with your view with most of the this tech. But when it comes to using Apple CarPlay… the control mob is just too slow and clumsy and find your eyes off the road too much when trying locate and select an Apple CarPlay function…
I don't really care for SUVs so I really hope there will be a new 3 or 6 with a similar drivetrain. Power and efficiency combined with a compact vehicle would be a perfect combo!
There are rumors that a new 6 based on this platform and powertrain is in the pipeline. A japanese magazine provided some images of the new 6 too, pc generated obviously. I am pretty sure they didn't create such a platform only for big suvs, it would be a waste, but in order to provide a sedan and/or sport coupe based on this, they probably want to have the new 3L inline 6 skyactive x ready.
The reason to buy this CX-60: A lot of focus on the interior, exterior, driving experience and comparisons with the CX-5. Which completely makes sense in a car review, but at the start of the decision tree when buying a new car you've got taxes and budget. No way would I consider buying a 3.3l diesel, no matter how good it will sounds or drive, it will be a tax nightmare. So this CX-60 looks very cool inside-out (ok, that's a very personal opinion), has a very powerful powertrain, low CO2, no range anxiety and full option it's 10 to 15K cheaper than a comparable X3, Q5 or GLC and a shorter delivery time (at least so I was promised, let's see in Jan). Many of the "cheaper" phevs also come with small 1.3, 1.5 or 1.6 engines and the reported consumption figures after the battery runs out are not good to say the least (easily over 10l/100km) while I'm expecting this one to stay around 8l/100km. All that made me decide to buy this beautifull CX-60 ;-)
Thank you for nice review. I ordered my car after your first static review, and got a little bit worried after your testdrive in Portugal. But now I had it delivered two weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The drivetrain is perhaps not the smoothest and jerks sometimes, but the car has character and is beautiful inside out. I have driven it 1300 km and the average petrol consumption is 1,1 liter/100km and electric 23,5 kWh/100km.
This car is fantastic, drove one recently and it's fantastic. When you put it in sports mode the gauge cluster goes red and shows a graphic of the car looking all aggressive and it absolutely shifts. Personally I'd go for the Homura spec with black alloys and interior. Lovely car! If anyone is in the UK and considering one let me know!
It's not your fault that Mazda only offers high spec in animal skin leather trim. However in general, please consider to try to avoid buying animal leather car seats because of the high impact on humans, animals and the environment when possible (e.g. picking lower trim or choosing cars with high trim fabric/leatherette or mirofibre option.
Another great review Thomas 👏 I live in Australia and have owned a GT CX5 SkyActiv diesel since 2017. Love the CX5 and keen on updating to the 3.3 litre CX60 when it becomes available in Australia. I agree regarding carry the hybrid batteries around there is a lot of weight I feel the 3.0 petrol and 3.3 diesel will be more natural more fun and more Mazda in the way they drive
Just purchased cx5 turbo with black trim and wheels, leather seats with red stitching is beautiful . When cx70 is available in us I will probably upgrade. I looked at Mercedes and BMW. I believe Mazda has nicer soft touch materials in interior. And what I hear better reliability. Also half the price. Love Mazda
Problem with german manufacturers is that their options cost too much. If you include all the options that a Mazda top trim has, you are going to spend double or even more. There is no doubt that if those vehicles were similarly priced to a Mazda, most would pick the german ones, but come on, the german cars are not worth 2 or 3 similar mazda vehicles....
I truly like your honest review on this wonderful car. Lets hope the folks from Mazda are listening you and they will address some of your concerns. Great review as always!! Gracias!!
Volvo is a much more refined car, trust me. MUCH more. They may be similar on paper but when you get real, they are not real competitors. I didn't care driving the Mazda (but I have owned the CX-5) because I could tell by just sitting in it that it's another fake from Mazda. Doors are light and hollow and the closing is unreliable and unpleasant. Up close the interior looks like a 90s effort at luxury even though it looks cool on picture. The tech is outdated and i know from experience that it's unreliable.
@@gvaley I actually chose this one and not the XC60 So I had a different experience than you, which is why you obviously test drive. I also prefer the Mazda interior and in my country the price is also nearly10k less for the Mazda
@@gvaley You have no clue what you're talking about. Mazda is far better quality than Volvo. No rational person ever wants to own any modern Volvo outside warranty.
I have watched your reviews (both of them) of the CX60 two or three times. I listened to your words very closely, especially when you’re describing the driving experience. That is what concerns me the most. I have been waiting with anticipation for the release of this vehicle in the US. You said they improved some of the issues that were troubling you but there are still some things that need to be worked out. I hope Mazda is watching your videos. Thank you very much for your very good, and honest, review. Dunke.
Long time subscriber. But i think 1st time ever watched that Thomas hit almost 200 km/h 👍 Great Mazda. They first time trying to approach premium segment. Hope they improve more in time.
not only Mazda thinks touchscreens are too dangerous. ADAC did some tests on infotainment systems of different cars, where drivers needed to drive through a course and change settings like AC temps or radio station and driver attention was measured with eye tracking and video. Mazda got 1st place, Tesla got the last place.
Thanks for a great review! I ended up ordering a CX-60 because it suits better to our needs as a family SUV when compared it to X3, XC60, Q5 or GLC. Bigger boot space, doors open almost 90 degrees, more safety features with less money and so on. Also better electric range than some of these. For me the driving experience was not the number one priority at this point of life.
After 4 weeks of ownership I have to say that there is no compromise with the driving experience after all. Driving is enjoyable and fun. Recently manufactured CX-60s are much better to drive than the pre and early production ones as they have improvements in suspension, steering, gear shift and EV/combustion shifts etc. A great car in my opinion. 👍🏼
Another thorough review. It looks quite large enough as is for our US market. In white it seems a competition for BMW X SUVs....which are seemingly everywhere on our roads. Even though Mazda is aiming upscale, some base models are relatively affordable even in this crazy US auto market.....my Mom got a nice CX-5 (all AWD now) for under $28k...and my daily driver is the Mazda 3 hatchback...it's quite nice driving.
Had a test drive just for the fun of it with one of these PHEVs at a local dealer, was told that the model was a press car. Some thoughts coming in "blind" to the test drive: it has nice looking design overall, drivetrain was not smooth in normal driving situations, car seemed to sail from left to right in motorway driving (lane assist was supposed to be turned off), exterior seems large but the space is not well used (eg. front grille extends far out from the radiator with a lot of empty space in between, you can see it in the shot at 0:32), steering had a somewhat disconnected feel from driving the car, acceleration was enough for overtaking, would have liked a bit more tire noise insulation on rougher road surfaces, indicator sound was a bit annoying. It's a nice try, but not a car I would consider for the amount of money asked for it.
I can understand what Thomas says about the unique driving experience you normally get. But this is a more premium-focussed car and of course bigger (and heavier). It shouldn't be as playful as the CX-5. They just had to make it more spacious and comfortabel.
I was expecting cx-60 to be more spacious than cx-5 or cx-8 but it’s not. Also the shift lever where you have to maneuver it to the right just to go to Drive (D) position is a little bit odd for me. Overall quality of both interior and exterior is superb.
Great review again Thomas.Just 2 points i would like to make.First, you must cater for more space at the back passenger seats.Mazda have this problem with all their suvs. The room at the back is woeful.Second, the price of a CX-60 is very high and here you have to ask yourself do you buy the Mazda or do you go for a premium European.I know what most people would go for and that is the Mercs,BMW,Audies ect.Mazda cant compete with that type of luxury.People will always opt for a Merc, for the status, than a Mazda. That is why Mazda should have remained as a sub luxury brand offering great value for money and being Japanese, reliability and lower costs.Nobody in the world would mention Mazda in the same breath as Merc,BMW,Audi.I do OWN a CX-5,2019 model and i am in love with it.It does feel luxurious and premium, even though it is not.Japanese luxury?Of course Lexxus, yes they can give those top europeans a run for their money and they have.
Thomas, thank you for the updated review on a production model. Good to know that Mazda have ironed out some of the kinks. I have just put my order down for the Exclusive-line model as I don't require all the bells and whistles, plus, the ride should be a little better with the 18-inch alloys. However, I did add both the Convenience & Driver Assistance packs 😀
I am very disappointed that Mazda has decided to follow the same route as Volkswagen and put fake quad exhausts (similar to the ones you’ll find in some Volkswagen R Line vehicles).
@@dragospahontu Really it is. Look at the new Audi S6/S7/SQ5 European spec. These are the worst fake quad exhausts in the world. The other worst ones include the Mazda CX60 and the VW R Line ones.
hi . iam Behzad from Sweden .. i listen to u and i canceled my order cx60 and got the CX5 Newground jet black ,,,,, its was amazing drive ... Cx 5 is the the best ///
Manufacturers have gone overboard with the large wheels. If you get the top model with all the bells and whistles, you're stuck with the largest and most uncomfortable riding wheels. I have a 2019 Signature with the 19" wheels and those are just about perfect combination of ride and handling. Especially, since I upgraded the tires to Michelin Pilot All Season 4 that are superior in every way compared to the standard Toyo tires.
This. So much this.... Why can't we get the top trim with the smallest wheels? If they need more money, just provide some more "premium quality" smaller wheels. Ride comfort, especially in family cars, is far more important than looks.
Yes, I really dislike the fact that you can’t configure smaller wheels on the higher trim levels. I live in Bulgaria and larger wheels are just a no-go for me
@@joggelweekend @joggelweekend @joggelweekend Yes, absolutely. It's really about the tire quality and design parameters. On my CX5 Signature I upgraded to a far better tire and increased the size somewhat to 245/50-19 with the Michelin Pilot All Season 4. Using an app, I found the difference in speedo reading is a miniscule 0.2%. At 60 mph the actual speed is 59.8 mph. This tire is better in every single way. It handles better, is quieter, has better ride quality and tread is rated to last twice as long. Plus, the difference in price is not that great. It's well worth the upgrade if you plan to keep the car.
@@joggelweekend nobody thinks that LOL. people buy bigger wheels because they’re aesthetically more pleasing (subjective, but consumers generally agree)
Tapping the lever over and pulling back is complicated? No, complicated is manually shifting a tractor trailer. I actually applaud Mazda for using a physical lever instead of a twist knob or buttons.
As a CX 5 owner top spec 2.2 diesel about to test drive the CX 60 I would say - every phev hybrid has a weight issue and the CX 60 is going to be better value ie £10 k less than most of premium competitors. Also it is less common and having had nothing go wrong with my current and previous cx5 I know the quality is high. After 60000 miles in each. I don’t want plastic seats I had those for years in many cars and wouldn’t order a merc or BMW in non leather. I can’t continue with diesel as many obstacles going into local cities and petrol alone is not efficient. Ie my diesel gives around 50mpg and a big petrol will be in low 30s at best. Full EV not yet as too many changes happening and no full infrastructure. Will wait until EV can run for 400 plus miles at similar cost to a loaded CX 60. Also how many SUVs can handle like a Mazda. Not many and cost 30 grand more for similar driving exp and spec.
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. Please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: th-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/w-d-xo.html In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which exact body part you would be murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: th-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/w-d-xo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And if you want the slick look or something to wipe clean easier, that is possible with animal free leatherette. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: th-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/w-d-xo.html More and more natural materials are rising: th-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/w-d-xo.html Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
Cow Leather is recycling. What would become of all those skins of those billion hamburgers McDonald’s sells daily? And faux leather… another name for petrochemical materials….. not bashing just a neutral observation that both have their pros and cons
@@autogefuehl I think that plastics have just as many of not more environmental impacts than leather. Yes tanning is bad… killing animals… animal husbandry … yes not good either but neither is farming in general…. People want to be environmentally conscious with a PHEV but over look all the petroleum it took to produce the plastics that you are touting. Plastic is way worse and has way longer repercussions than leather… fact.
Surely engines will be more reliable compered to same size suvs with 4 cylinders. Smoother power delivery and less strain. Lets see. Bring back inline 6!
Thanks for your extensive driving review of the CX-60. I came here to watch as a reference to the upcoming larger but very similarly designed plug-in hybrid CX-90 here in the U.S. The CX-90 models were just revealed in the US but will not be officially released for sale until mid-2023. I am most interested in the plug-in PHEV CX-90 model but wonder if it will lack more of the Mazda sporty appeal you talked about. I guess it is acceptable in my view since I am more about saving fuel than having sporty performance. Hahaha. As a side note, I LOVE how your driving footage shows how German motorists know how to use directional indicators (blinkers) as a natural part of driving when making a turn or changing lanes. One of my biggest pet peeves driving in America is how many drivers do not use (or do not even know how!!!) their blinkers thus reducing safety and courtesy on the road.
I think PHEV is better than full electric at the moment. Thomas said that most manufacturers are moving away from PHEV, and while certainly true, i don't think it should be happening. Just because lots of people don't use PHEVs correctly doesn't mean that they are a bad technology. Full EVs don't have much range, even the most expensive ones. Plus EV range is not fixed, it is variable depending on weather conditions, driving conditions and age of the battery. If you need to take long trips, especially in very cold or very hot weather, EVs are going to be a nightmare. PHEVs allow you to have essentially an EV for most daily needs while still retaining the ability to travel if you want to. And in Europe with energy prices skyrocketing, you are not saving any money on petrol anyway. I think most manufacturers should be making more PHEVs at least for the next decade. It is too soon to abandon them.
@@dragospahontu can you explain why you think this? I am on fence between PHEV and diesel hybrid. I own a PHEV outlander and I’m not completely over going back to a non plug in hybrid but want to hear your reasoning thanks
Good to see that Mazda have managed to engineer and build a vehicle that will and can compete pound for pound with the X3. BMW now have a direct competitor and this will open up the segment.
lol just the first frame i saw those quad fakery i heard in my head AFEP and thomases whistling xD, i waited to hear it and just great review as always xD
Great review Thomas, hows the lane keeping assist feel? Does it keep it centred on road or still like the old system bouncing to the centre when close to the lane marking?
Very nice and professional review, thank you sir. I think for this class, there should be fluent acceleration and not sudden jerk in power movement, that does not look good. How comfortable is to sit on the skunk stripe in the middle of the seats? I learned you were not super happy about the comfort of the seats anywas, by look they dissapoint. Not sure about the fabric interior is a good thing - probably kids or just dirty hands from job will get this fabric parts age rather quickly.
@ 14:34 Thomas, in Australia, we might call it “a kangaroo hop” 🇦🇺🦘😅 …. or in plain English, I call it a “surge or lunge & grip”, can be many ways to describe it.
they need to do at least plugin hybrids at reasonable prices not just rely on the 7500 federal tax credit that expires anyway eoy. toyota milked it for their rav4 prime. their battery was worth 3k they selling for 10k ridiculous.
For maximum efficiency for long drives without charging the battery at a station. What charge level of battery would you recommend to keep? (You can set at which charge level the battery will stay at in the car settings)
I don’t understand why they’ve gone for individual controls to increase or decrease temperature. The temperature scroll wheel of the latest Mazda3 is much more controllable, logical and feels classier. Is it cost saving?
Interesting that Mazda still do not appear to have completed the necessary engineering homework before releasing this model to the public. Whilst the interior seems to be first class, hopefully other driving characteristics will be further improved. The CX 60 is due to be released in Australia in June and local reviews should highlight any weaknesses, should there be any. I prefer Nappa leather which will be standard on the top version.
Hi Thomas, great review, as always. And a desirable car, especially in white paint. I would like to have the interior with black cloth fabric (no animal skin 😊) , but with the fabulous light wood trim and the Japanse stitching. Would be lovely! 👍🏼 Oh, and of course the inline six petrol engine. Preferably running on sustainable synthetic fuel. What a dream that would be.....
still waiting for the skyactiv-X version 6 inline. If they can bring the enhancement over the second generation of Skyactive-X (2021) that the second provide to the first generation 2019, then we might have a winner. I don't believe in Phev, mild hydrib will do for me.
@@autogefuehl thanks, but PHEV is needed for TAX reasons.. is it really bad? I currently have an old Passat Diesel 150 DSG and 600-700 miles is possible from the ~65 Ltr Fuel tank. I love this car!! Practical, comfortable and I don't need to stop too often for refuelling! I love cars and your reviews, but working and travelling around 1000miles per week.. sportscar handling and acceleration becomes a lesser issue to comfort and quietness. I would think the Citroen C5X would be perfect but the CX60 PHEV is £200 per month cheaper on my company policy. Just need to know if I cant charge it will it still do more than 350 miles to a full tank of petrol? Thanks Thomas!!
I agree that the inline 6 turbo will most likely be a much more "Mazda" driver's oriented version than the plug-in hybrid. Plug-in hybrids should not exist in my opinion as they add weight to the car with virtually no electric mileage.
I don't have much hope for the upcoming CX-70 to be very much different than this other than slightly larger. Guess I'll be keeping my CX-5 Signature for a more sporting driving experience.
Thomas, can you comment on how often the ICE turns on when in EV mode? Some consumers find PHEVs turning it on very frequently, almost like a plain mild hybrid, especially with the Hyundai models. Other models turn on the ICE very rarely and feel like driving a pure BEV. Where does this model fall in this spectrum? Does using the HVAC system turn on the ICE?
Looks amazing but hm.. the screen for me is small but not sure if the car that was reviewed was an option car and that's why the screen is like that .. and not incorporated to it cause it feels like you can take it out from the car like a plug in thingy ... hmm and behind I found it small for a person that is tall and has long legs ...hmmmm .. but overall it's fascinating.
Current design craze at Mazda. All their screens are fixed on top of the dashboard like that. "Inspired" by Audi no doubt, as are many interior queues on Mazda's past.
I LOVE MAZDA!! BEST CAR IN JAPANESE CAR HANDLING... AND FUNNNESS TO DRIVE ..IF YOU LOVE TO DRIVE CARS MAZDA IS THE BEST JAPANESE CAR..alternative for benz and beemers
It may take several years for Mazda to get hybrid / PHEV powertrain sorted out so that it is seamless. Also sounds like work needs to done on reducing vibrations and harshness over bumpy roads. Maybe it needs adaptive suspension? I like Mazda but these new powertrains make me nervous. Thanks for good review. Looking forward to your review on Mazda’s petrol in line 6.
Dear Thomas, please tell us the time to 100km/h in CX5 an CX60! I had to sell my CX5 diesel because of that !!! I love leather in my car , but I found that I don't have this option in my car...after I bought it ! BMW X5 ventilated seats !! I will wraith for 6 in line!
Sorry about my english but I hope you can undestand my message. I have a Mazda 3 and a VW Golf 7 and the BC of the Golf and the ammount of information provided is way superior. I am curios if in the CX60 the distance and time of de trip is still shown just for a few seconds after you turn off the engine: Also I would like to know if you can see the averege consumption separately for Trip a, Trip B and all time or just one avarege consumption. Actually, I'm curios if CX60 has a section of informations like in the VAG BC with all sort of informations like the temperature of the oil, trip distance, the duration of the current trip, averege consumption etc...Lastly, I'd like to know if the BC resets itself immediately after you turn off the engine or ig the BC "remembers" the trip information if you restart the engine in a short time and continue your trip. Thank You!
Sorry for my bad english. I am sorry to say that my new CX-60 do not have the same kind of information that VW-products do! I had a Skoda Superb 280hp and it was superior to my new Mazda regarding things like oiltemp and average consumption. It sounds that your 3 and my CX-60 has the same kind of basic system!
Mazda provides the option to show the trip consumption summary after you turn off the engine. Also in the information section of the infotainment you can show the average consumption of your last couple of drives in a small bar graphic. (I'm a CX-30 driver). You need to activate the trip summary in the settings though.
@@dragospahontu Honestly, The Golf 7 that I drive is better built than The Mazda 3 that I also drive...grab and shake lightly anything in the Mazda and it moves...that's why there are so many "crickets". Also in the Mazda the seats are smaller, the armrest in the door is longer and you hit it with the left knee (you lose about 10 cm of leg room compared with the Golf), the AC it's mediocre (it doesn't have ventilation in the back and if you have kids in the back seats even a 2-3 hour drive is problematic) the and the information provided by the car is minimal (it seems it has no BC in the classical way). Don't get me wrong, it's a good car, but it's not premium. It's a best buy care however because it has a lot of technology and the drivetrain is excelent, especially with the manual transmission.

I don't really care for SUVs so I really hope there will be a new 3 or 6 with a similar drivetrain. Power and efficiency combined with a compact vehicle would be a perfect combo!
I don't understand why they can't just make a few 6s for those who love them
@@DuniaYako They're probably waiting to make a model on the new longer platform and no one was buying them to make profit.

I’m Japanese and waited long for a honest review like this one unlike the car journalist here!! great vid!!
In Japan do you have biased car journalists?
Gracias!!
Garcias!!
This is a really interesting addition to Mazda's lineup in the UK. I would seriously consider this against the Volvo XC60.
You should also consider the Lexus NX 450. Longer electric range than the Mazda and almost guaranteed great reliability.
@@gvaley I actually chose this one and not the XC60
So I had a different experience than you, which is why you obviously test drive. I also prefer the Mazda interior and in my country the price is also nearly10k less for the Mazda
@@gvaley I also owned a CX-5 and the entire industry is praising Mazda interiors and overall quality.
For me the driving experience was not the number one priority at this point of life.
cheers! keep tuning in :)
Me too, homura
Same. Ordered the CX-60
@@primehourhow many km you do after the battery is 10%?
Another thorough review. It looks quite large enough as is for our US market. In white it seems a competition for BMW X SUVs....which are seemingly everywhere on our roads. Even though Mazda is aiming upscale, some base models are relatively affordable even in this crazy US auto market.....my Mom got a nice CX-5 (all AWD now) for under $28k...and my daily driver is the Mazda 3 hatchback...it's quite nice driving.
Mazda is doing such great things these days…I like this one.
I’m so excited to see how the CX-70 turns out here in the U.S. 👍🏻
Will probably be great.
Ano Muumit, the space is needed for the forthcoming 6 cylinder engine. Other things you mentioned, not so good.
I can’t wait for the CX-70 to come to the US. I used to have a CX-5 and looking forward to getting the CX-70 some day as a PHEV
I can understand what Thomas says about the unique driving experience you normally get. But this is a more premium-focussed car and of course bigger (and heavier). It shouldn't be as playful as the CX-5. They just had to make it more spacious and comfortabel.
You mean it had to be more soccer mum.
I don't think I've ever seen an SUV with a dash-to-axel ratio this long before. That chrome badge on the fender has gotta go though!
Yup did the same - but splurged on the nice Mazda red paint.

I live in Bulgaria and larger wheels are just a no-go for me
people think the larger the wheel, the better the handling, but that's so untrue...
Please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: th-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/w-d-xo.html
In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter.
If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: th-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/w-d-xo.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: th-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/w-d-xo.html
More and more natural materials are rising: th-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/w-d-xo.html
Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
The PHEV is more refined
Cow Leather is recycling. What would become of all those skins of those billion hamburgers McDonald’s sells daily? And faux leather… another name for petrochemical materials….. not bashing just a neutral observation that both have their pros and cons
Watch the videos in the long comment and re-think you stance on cow leather.

Highly appreciated! Please share our videos 🤗

Thank you for another good video. Can't wait for the CX70 to come here
Are you going to test the 3.3 eSkyactive-D model when available? Thanks Thomas
sure!
The straight 6 is better
@@dragospahontu can you explain why you think this? I am on fence between PHEV and diesel hybrid. I own a PHEV outlander and I’m not completely over going back to a non plug in hybrid but want to hear your reasoning thanks

Does using the HVAC system turn on the ICE?
for ex. The Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In instantly turns on the engine if u want HEAT... it has no electric heater

What do you like about the Golf? Mazda is more premium.
@@mihaid82 understandable
CX5 needs this interior design
Why? The CX-5 is a very nice design now.
