Around 2010 I was at the Hollywood reservoir which is basically below the Hollywood sign. There's a utility road that's pedestrian only that circles it which is lined by pine trees and goes over the dam itself. On this day I was jogging that road with my five and six year old boys who were on their bikes with training wheels. They were at the peak of their adorableness. We passed a couple who were slowly walking the opposite direction. It was Craig and his lovely wife. She looked at my kids with a big smile on her face and looked at Craig with an expression that said, "I really want one of those." Craig looked at me like, "thanks a lot mister." I knew he was doomed at that moment. I'm pretty sure I read they had a baby not long after...lol
Craig reminiscing about his dad's Lada reminds me of the the gormless bank robbers whose getaway car was a Lada. It broke down after a quarter of a mile and the robbers were apprehended within minutes.
I love Craig, but I disagree with him on divorce. My husband left me while I was on deployment in Iraq. I was completely blindsided, devastated, and heartbroken beyond expression. It has taken years to move on.
