My dad grew up in the 50s. He used to have drills all the time in school where the teacher would say "There's a nuclear attack! Quick, everyone hide under their desk!" Sometimes they would have school duck and cover drills in the hallway where the students would place their head underneath their locker on the floor and students would get covered in spider webs.
@@noran6979 it is better than nothing. If you're hiding under a desk, you will not be looking at the bomb, reducing the chances of instant blindness. You will also be out the way of shattering glass, and less likely to die if the roof caves in. Not to mention, a desk will definitely protect against Alpha particles. It is not the best idea, but a better one than not doing anything when basements are not available.

Although not the most practical, my favorite is Charisma. I really like passing the speech checks, and getting out of fights I don't have to do (specially on Survival mode).
Apparently I've noted sometimes this S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system actually works , because I've been able to access the speech bluff check in real life , so that skill at times actually works...just thought I'd share this information...

Soo considering that scientists/vault tec created FEV they knew pretty well what would be after nuclear apocalypse
Fallout 4 is pretty good. I treat it like an interactive story game rather than a full fledged RPG which makes the game more easy to digest in comparison to FNV. I'd even consider them different genres which makes comparison difficult, but on the whole it is a good game.
Videos like this are how I knew before the game was released that Fallout 4 was going to be excellent, and it is. Between this and the E3 presentation it really showed that Bethesda was actually putting effort into the game. Well, that and the voiced protagonist, that was easily one of the best decision they could've made. That's also sadly how I knew Fallout 76 was going to be terrible. Their presentation was godawful and the concept was worse. The fact that it turned out to be a buggy (Even for Bethesda games!) clearly half finished mess was just the natural progressing of Bethesda not giving a shit.
@Murkadelic What Bethesda was trying to do with 76 was break into the MMO market, and like nearly all of the companies who try that, they're just after that sweet sweet subscription or microtransaction money. That's why 76 was a buggy half assed piece of crap at launch, as long as people shelled out at the start they had no real reason to care. They never expected there would be anywhere near the level of backlash that there was.

The invention of digital downloadable content should have caused video game prices to plummet. The reason being digital downloads can be produced in potentially infinite quantities for no cost whatsoever. Digitally downloadable games are able to sell at a fraction of the cost and still make out like bandits due to a lack of overhead. Then games gotten at a Brick and Mortar store should've lowered their own price to compete or just gone the way of the dinosaur. Instead, they've not only upped the price to $60 dollars, they keep the prices shelves and at the digital stores the same. On top of all that, the industry has been pushing to INCREASE the price of video games beyond the ridiculous price they're already at.
