This is totally my mom, and the fact that his wife is in the background trying so hard not to laugh until tears are coming down her face, but she can't hold it in either, so she is doing that "trying not to laugh" laugh. I think that may be the best part for me.

The giggling throughout the video was contagious. Kim's dress looks beautiful. My mother stepped on the train of mine and ripped it right up to my calf at the reception and then I gave it to a lady who makes and donates outfits for stillborn babies.
That last bit got me right in the heart. Thank you. People who have to go to the hospital really early don’t usually have a beautiful outfit carefully picked out for the baby’s first hospital picture. Those clothes that people make for the babies really mean something to the grieving parents who just want to see their baby clothed so at least something feels normal about their situation.

My neighbor who is like 80 puts on her wedding dress every year on Halloween. It's so cute! She doesn't care that she can't zip it up all the way in the back.

I'm procrastinating my own spring cleaning by watching this. 😂 I gave my brother that exact cow picture for Christmas a couple years ago. I felt uncomfortably called out during the closet part. Lol

As not a shoe person, I am absolutely flabbergasted every time we see Kim's shoe collection.
I laugh because my husband complains about how many shoes I have.... I am not a shoe whore at all and laugh about how clueless he is about how many shoes many women have. :-)

Awesome that you still have your Atari!!! I wouldn't get rid of it either. If it still works, you could keep it in your living room to show it off! My husband and I recently acquired my father-in-law's Atari when they downsized, and we got it hooked up to our TV and used it a few times.
We bought that one online as a prop. As a kid I had an Intellivision, which was interesting.

As for decluttering, - there should be a rule, that every person in the family declutters her/his own stuff. Let's stop throwing away other people's belongings, because only the person who owns them, knows, if they "bring joy" or not. Thank you for the nice video!
I can never figure out what I need to get rid of. But looking at my husband’s side of the closet it’s just so clear. In fairness today I got rid of a “bucket” of expired condo.s. I also moved the old house paint out of the house that we never even liked but took up prime space on his side of the closet for YEARS. 😂 Sometimes spouses need our help.
@@SRose-vp6ew Still remember, - after so many years! - how my little sis has thrown away all my keepsakes, as soon as I moved away from our parents house (I couldn't take with me all at once). When I asked her, why she did it, she said: "I thought, you didn't need it." But I guess, she just wanted to take a revansch for all those times, when I, as an older sibling, didn't let her "have fun" like pouring ketchup on the floor or doing something equally exciting.

Penn, I would like to tell you how much envy I have for the amount of space you have for your things in the closet. I graciously share my space with luggage, spare throw pillows, and decorative quilts.
You have that backwards. The Quilt Union very generously allows you to have a wee bit of space. Stop y'er bellyaching.

Spare throw pillows shouldn't be a thing, at all. Ever! Donate them to an animal shelter or the Salvation Army and reclaim your space!
@Tony Mosconi What a loving husband you are! My husband's closet used to be the coat closet, but it's convenient, because it's across from the bathroom. He gets up super early in the morning so gets ready while I still sleep. Just another reason I love him so much!

The wedding dress. 😆 The fact that I own my wedding dress 19 years later drives my husband absolutely crazy. It's in a box just like that, in a closet that has nothing to do with him and every time we clean out stuff it's always a conversation. 😂
Hey, my brother and his wife got married on REALLY short notice due to Covid travel restrictions, and we were collecting wedding dresses from wherever we could find them for her to try on (5 total).
The winner - the dress worn by the mom of some of our friends. It had sat in her closet for 25 years! It was a little discolored due to never having been cleaned, so I soaked it for 1.5 days in Oxyclean and hung it to dry off my 3rd floor balcony because the train was SO long, lol, but it turned out great!
She looked like a million bucks. So you never know! 😎

An honestly as hard as it was i gave my wedding dress to a store that gives the proceeds to cancer research. I mean i LOVED my dress but it didn't make sense to keep it. So hopefully someone else got to love it as much as i did 😁

If you're daughter likes your wedding dress you should totally keep it. My mom had a beautiful wedding dress that I wish she still had (in the event of me one day getting married). Sometimes those things are the things your kids will appreciate.

I would put the math trophy in a prominent place, like the mantle or dining room. When we throw parties we incorporate artifacts like that trophy into the table arrangements just for fun.

I surprised my wife for our 20th anniversary and had a full on reception with wedding party and had her wedding gown laid out for her to wear, she looked as good in it as she did on our wedding day. Now we are married 38 years. In 2 years we will do it again and she still can wear and look amazing in her gown. I’m a fortunate man.(by the way I still wear my cloths from my teens)It’s getting harder tho😂

Love it! I like to declutter regularly because I like an organised space - it relaxes me. I leave my partner to sort their own stuff because they know what works for them and what is valuable to them.

Yeah now that I got stretched out by 3 babies plus I'm middle aged, when I eat the wrong food and get super bloated I feel and look pregnant. Good thing I kept some comfy maternity dresses.😂
@@kristinathomas5890 I'm keeping some of my maternity clothes! They actually came in clutch after I gained a huge amount of weight and was in denial about it, I was able to wear them until I bought a few pieces of "fat clothes" to tide me over until I lose some weight.

I had 4 wedding dresses. 1 was a bridesmaid dress that I got off of Amazon to elope in. I wore it to the rehearsal dinner, too. I had an Ivory wedding dress for the ceremony, and that one is preserved in a box for someone someday, I guess but it did help us transport the dress across the country. A reception dress, that was officially a prom dress, but it was white and had the color I wanted in a floral skirt. It had pockets! And the zipper broke, and I had to be sewn into it. I want to have a new zipper put in and shorten to just below knee length, to casually wear my wedding dress as a sun dress. And I bought one from Torrid for $300 that I wanted to wear as a maternity progress dress for private weekly photos, and also to feel like a goddess. Torrid wedding dresses are so affordable and comfortable and incredible quality, but I don't think it made enough sales to continue. Look for them 2nd hand!
