At the age of 17 back in 1983 I dragged kicking and screaming by the girl I was with at the time to see these guys and I moaned and grumbled the entire day ( not cool for a lad of my calibre to like duran duran). Then they started to play and despite my best efforts to look pissed off they were fuckin brilliant. I have spent most of my adult life working in the security industry and have looked after some of the best bands on the planet but I have to say when these guys were on their game they were up there with some of the best.
I've become a massive Duran Duran fan in the last three months. I think that Roger Taylor iZ the most underrated drummer in history. HiZ drum parts are incredible for the music Duran Duran makes. 😆☕🥁🥁🥁🌃
Roger Taylor is a very good drummer! He also played a major part in the making of The Power Station album adding percussion parts behind Tony Thompson( RIP).
I don't understand the crowd having no reaction during the performance?! If I was there, and I was new to Duran Duran i'd fall in love with them right there on the spot! Careless Memories will always be one of my top favorite DD songs! ❤

What a great band, and this was one of their earliest hits, and to me, their best! However this song is better suited in a big arena scenario.
And in 2023 Simon sounds as good as back in the day.
