- Finally Hasbro release a Star Wars Vintage Collection Han Solo Stormtrooper! If the Kenner line of figures had continued past 1985 I am certain we would have got Han Solo in the Stormtrooper disguise to match Luke Skywalker which came out on the Power of the Force card. This figure is long overdue but was it worth the wait? Well in this action figure review you will find out!

Wow, that is a phenomenal looking figure. The helmet and the way it fits looks so good, it doesn't look out of proportion at all.
I can't get over the card image, it almost looks like a photoshopped image. They should have used an image from the control room or from the detention area. I think it would have turned out much better. Great review Bossk!

I was worried about the helmet. 1. the promo pics it was slightly yellow. 2. I was worried about the scale, as we know characters with head gear can often be out of scale. 41st Clone for example, but they have nailed this one completely! Hasbro have delivered big time on this one (minus the card)

Great review, I've got this on order so hopefully will arrive next week. I ordered two, but before I saw the card back image preview. One to open, one to keep carded but I will most likely sell on now as I don't like this image at all. My own take on it is that I think we will get a trash compactor diorama soon with two figures - like Jabbas Palace Playset announced.

Belter fig Tim , looks like they nailed the helmet porportion to body spot on as it looks superb, card could be better but minor gripe on this one with the figure so good , great review as always man 👍

Han Solo Stormtrooper already. Very nice my friend. I was impressed with how he looks with the helmet and it does not make it look like an over sized helmet on his head. Great review my friend, and great figure. Like O.O.K said all we need is Luke now!

I love figures like this because if your not feeling the face sculpt you can put the helmet and then now you’ve got a basic trooper for your army collection
If if all Troopers looked like this one then we wouldn't need to buy a standard one again lol
Hey Bossk this is an old video I’m looking back and realized that the rare han solo that they taped over the warning label. similar to Lando skiff and maybe some others the back of the card are both euro and what we know today both had the warning label blocked for non USA release! Very short release being it became universal Very nice 👍 impossible to find any of this variant now.

That blaster sculpt is INCREDIBLE! So detailed for that scale....
In the UK we usually get the exclusives early for some reason, an only on specialised Toy sites. Come back tomorrow evening as I have another amazing figure that has arrived early too! But first make sure you watch the giveaway video tonight! :)
We’re not going to see this in Target in the US until May 12th. And even then it’s going to be a tough find early on, a la The Gamorrean Guard fiasco. I’ll be happy if I get one of these by the end of August. Nice review and lucky dog getting it early.

Feel my pain m8.cry with me.rejoice with me that 1 day she will find herself encased in carbonite.the sculpts r very good on the 5 p.o.a so i picked up yoda ben kenobi,palpatine and a vintage han in carbonite figure(so i can pose th carbonite block next 2 me black series boba fett) its a bit small but looks cool nonetheless.i also had a george lucas stormtrooper mail away figure but traded it for some great weed.yeah yeah i know hang my head and stand in th corner of shame i was young n stupid lol.
Amazing review my friend! I was actually taken aback by how great the face sculpt and helmet sculpt were. Btw Could you do a comprarison between the blaster that comes with this figure and the one that comes with the new vc rogue one stormtrooper?

Great Review Boosk´s Bounty. Beside the silver apps on the blaster, this version shows an improvement in the armor; finally the rib cage of the maillot is painted black. That is a significative difference with the TLC Stormtrooper Han.

Was the body sculpt a new mold?
I can't wait for this to arrive in stores. Yes Hasbro could have used a scene of Han in the control room instead of the trash compactor. The new stormtrooper sculpt looks fantastic and Hasbro finally nailed the helmet! Looks like it's the same mold for the upcoming rogue one stormtrooper?And oh, the Jabba sail barge is already out ..just saw Victoria cantina did a review on it... sweet.

Oh wow! this turned out even better than the Promo shots Hasbro released a few months back. Got mine on order with his 6" bigger brother Black Series Trash Compactor Luke : )

Why does Han’s stormtrooper blaster now have a silver end ? Is it based on any historic prototypes or equipment?
It's a nice head sculpt and helmet size..the card looks ok a little bit dark and washed but still ok..I won't see one in stores where I am...great review

I ordered two as well. Was hoping to keep one loose. However my five yr old son seems to have got hold hold and is now playing with all his other figures and his Millennium Falcon. It's like going back in time for me. The joy he is having right now is what Star Wars is all about. I guess I am going to have to buy another now! lol

Looks great. I’ve had the bl Ser 6” one for couple years. It’s an exact 3.75 version of my 6”. It’s really quite odd, what w/,the order of films they draw from to putout each wave. And as u said, why the heck couldn’t they just release the Luke Trooper disguise at same time? Nice review.
They realy are drip feeding us at the moment. But the future looks brighter.
Great review. I'm looking for replacement trooper bodies for my Legacy Joker Squad. Any chance I can remove the Solo or regular trooper heads and replace them with Joker Squad?
I have not tried to remove Solo's head but I am pretty sure the new Stormtrooper helmet will come off on the Rogue One Stormie.

Hasbro created a more accurate Stormtrooper head sculpt for the 3.75" figure than they did with their 6" Stormtrooper, which has too wide of a gap between the eyes. Go figure. Nice video.

I have to admit, I like the photo version of Han in the Stormtrooper from the movie better than the CGI version. I think Hasbro can do another carded version like the bootleg/custom card.

Nice score! That is an impressive stormtrooper figure by itself, but the Han Solo aspect with that great head sculpt/paint job just takes it to the next level. Shame the vintage card image is shite.

It's really hard to get a 3" head sculpt that looks like H Ford.But this looks great!.To me,The best Han head for a 3" figure would probably be the Han "Endor Raid" from a while back..But this figure is right up near the top..

Online sites in the UK all had him. The UK often get the exclusives early for some reason.

Where can I buy this figure brand new unopened? Been looking all over ebay and other pages and I have found many, but none have the little paper at the bottom of the feet. Has anyone experienced this?
US version has the warning on the card, euro version paper in the bubble

Well, the Legacy Collection had a good Han Solo Stormtrooper, with lots of articulation. This head sculpt does look a bit better though (not that the last one was bad) so, I guess I'll try and snag it.
Yeah the Legacy collection version was pretty good. I missed out on a lot of those figures as it's the vintage cardbacks that attracts me. Even though I am an opener too!

Being in the UK we have to buy from websites. Hunting in the wild just isnt a thing anymore.
You do get lucky on very rare occasions though. Picked up like 13 original orange stripe 3.75" BS figs from The Entertainer less than a week ago! £50 in total. Incredible, purely for the fact the boxes are mostly damaged, ranging from light dents or scuffs to more noticeable, ugly cracked/bashed plastic fronts. Still! Totally worth it.

Oh yeah, I still have the Han Solo in Storm Trooper armor from Kenner or Hasbro in the mid 1990's that you had to order from Kellogg's through mail away.
Well actually, my Dad got me it when he bought it off a vendor at the local flea market (when it was still in business) in June, 1998 as a present for me for my 13th Birthday.
It came in a little plastic baggie & a little white box, but only had a helmet (no blaster, but I gave it 1).
I'll share a couple photos on the Facebook page ASAP.

This is an amazing figure, but why oh why and who has green lit the poor card art for this figure? Typical Hasbro.
