    great review as always guys. Yeah the v3's are great. I brought them to replace the g27 pedal set with a nixim mod. and I will never look back. totally agree about the pedal mod, shame that they were not an option on launch when I got mine. don't think I'll buy them on a separate order due to high shipping charges. looks like I'll have to bundle it with a v2 Base 😉

    There is one thing missing in this rewiew ! Not a single word about how those rumble motors feel . Do they simulate that ABS feeling that you get when brakes lock up ? Do you feel it at all when in racing shoes ? Does giwe you a better fellin and understanding what is happening whit barakes ? How could you missed that ?

      +ingange ingange I don't understand why there doesn't seem to be one on the clutch, seems the most important to me, then when starting from stop you could feel the engine about to stall.

      They've had the rumble motor on the brake since the v1 clubsports and all it does it cause the rumble to come on at a pre set pressure. No feedback from the game

    • @Shelboooooo
      @Shelboooooo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anonony9081Your wrong, it is game specific and needs the wheel attached to do it proper. with V3

  • @Toyzri
    @Toyzri 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you turn the weighted motors attached to the pedals 90* the simulation will be closer. Brake rotor vibration makes the pedal pulsate not vibrate side to side and the same for the accelerator. And make sure the rotation is towards the top to maximize the rotating masses effect.

    would be nice to see a compare between Thrustmaster T3PA Pro vs these Fanatec pedals. how much difference is it. Im wonder if its worth to buy Fanatec pedals, rim + base for about 1500€ wich is ALOT compared with my Thrustmaster T300 base with 599xx rim and T3PA pro...how much difference is it in feeling, FFB and so on! would be pretty intresting to see an objective compare between the two "classes" right? :)

    • @dropac
      @dropac 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +T Anderzon i have the fanatec setup (CSR Wheel,Clubsport V2 Pedals and shifter) and my dad the T500RS wheel,T3PA Pro pedals, TH8A Shifter. we both like the Fanatec more, the FFB give you much more information than the T500RS. the pedals are much much nicer, the brake is like another dimension, no load cell on the T3PA. smae thing with the clutch. and a big no go is that the T500RS came off center-2 times,its a littel to the right on the straight

    • @CrossBowKill
      @CrossBowKill 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +T Anderzon Ok lets help you a bit. The Wheelbase it selfe is fast and has a stronger ffb. is it worth the 400-600$ extra I think not for 200-400$ more you can build a self made servo wheel. The pedals on the other hand you can not really compare. The Thrusmasters dont feature any loadcell ( this is really the selling point, breaking by pressure memory is easy then by distance memory so consistent lap times are easier to achieve) plus the clutch on the clubsports feels 100 times better. The best thing is to go on a hybrid setup (T300/TX Base + rim of your choice, TH8A shifter, Clubsport or even Elite pedals from Fanatec) if you cant afford to spend like 3-5k for some "realy" equipment

    • @AstroJR83
      @AstroJR83 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Darko Dropulja I use a T300 RS base, the 599xx wheel, T3PA pro pedals, Manufactory seq shifter and a H-H engeneering handbrake.
      But I also think that the Fanatec FFB is much better and I love the quick release and the BMW 320mm wheel...The pedals looks nice too but its much money so thats why I need to dig more for the real benefits of Fanatec so to speak. :)
      I already starts to hear some strange sound coming from the FFB system in my T300 RS base so it dont feels like good quality.

    • @v_alexiadis
      @v_alexiadis 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +T Anderzon I'm pretty sure the Fanatec pedals are much better than the T3PAs but the amount of money you need to spend for the whole setup is ridiculous. I don't think any wheel-pedal combo is worth paying so much. So, while the Fanatec setup will give you better feeling, I doubt it would be that much better than what you have now. Save your money for something else.

    • @comdinet
      @comdinet 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Die Gaming Bros Ok... a servo wheel for 1k? a DIY servo will run you at least 1000, and that's the lowest end possible and a bit stretched. Typically you'll need around 1400 for servo base. Then you'll need rim + button box + shifters for another at least $1000... and add some QR for 100$. Best case scenario you'll get working servo for 2k.

    Really an interesting background music. That aside, I like the look and all of the pedals. In the future, after my T500 and G27 pedals wear out, I am going to look into Fanatec. Looks like they are the best of best for usability across platforms... But with any luck that will be a few years.

      mod not mode sorry
      it is. foam can be quite different. there is foam that is harder and more dense then wood and can be polished. Already worked with such "foam". And there can be foam that is soft like rubber.

    This was amazing upgrade from G27, and I tried HE ultimates. These pedals rock. Only issue is running them via csw base, not really working half of the time. Maybe my base is faulty and not the pedals of course.

      if I remember correctly: you can't use separate pedals on the console (you'd have to use the pedals through the usb connection). On the pc though, like Wilkendz said, you can use two controllers (wheel and pedals) on most games.

    Fanatec are just crazy with their pricing... $299 in the USA, EUR 359! what kind of conversion ratio are they using?!

      +Victor It's the damn EU tax that ruins it for us.

    • @fpupesh
      @fpupesh 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      VAT across EU is 19-20% plus they have to pay transport and import taxes to sell in the US. I don't understand the logic but it would be lovely if someone from Fanatec explains the pricing model because for now it just looks like extortion to the EU customers.

      +Hideaki ArLOk you need the damper kit and then set the actual pedal hydraulic really low. it'll give a long pedal travel but you can make it stiffer with the damper.

    These pedals are terrible. Even with the brake performance kit, the brake feel is exactly OPPOSITE of what it should be. The rumble modules are gimmicky at best. Though the load cell has fantastic resolution, consistency is hard to find because of the terrible design of the brakes. I've tried all combinations of Eladur's (did they hire tyler perry to name this), and the brakes are still a golden plated pile of poop to put it plainly. Build quality is fantastic, and open frame design is ideal. Gas pedal is wonderful, but of course we don't spend money on pedals because of a gas/clutch. We do it for the brake. And this system fails TERRIBLY at it. Please listen to these reviews and don't buy them. Though fanatec will refund you, they will charge you 15% on top of shipping back to their warehouse. I just made a $100 dollar mistake. Please don't do what i did.

      Danny .Valentin what are you using now? I was considering these as an upgrade

    • @funkyd04
      @funkyd04 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're definately an upgrade to most pedals but they are actually less realistic in pedal operation than even a cheap set of pedals. There's too much damping in the foams and rubbers which means there's always a residual brake force momentarily after you've removed your foot from the pedal.
      I just got HPP pedals. The price tag hurts... but i'm already a half second faster. And i was already 1 sec behind the aliens on my entry level pedals before, so you can immagine how much the price is probably worth it.

    • @funkyd04
      @funkyd04 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      HPP pedals. Using a pressure transducer is an entire order of magnitude better and more accurate than anything with a load cell.
