The only Japanese books I’ve read are by Haruki Murikami. Two I’d recommend, The Strange Library, and Hard boiled Wonderland at the end of the world.

I love Junji Ito, his stuff is so creepy! I also recommend Haruki Murakami, l love pretty much everything he's written. The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa was great, very strange and surreal. Taichi Yamada's books are lovely, quite short and atmospheric. And if you want twisted and dark then Ryu Murakami is definitely recommended!

Oh wow thank you so much for the recommendations Kelly! Which one was your fave Haruki Murakami book? I've only read 1Q84 and Norwegian Wood. And also which is your favorite Ryu Murakami book? 💛

@@EyeSeaStudio slightly delayed response, sorry! I loved The Wind Up Bird Chronicle, Dance Dance Dance and Hard Boiled Wonderland particularly, it's time I re-read some of them actually, it's been years!
