Agreed! My father was a builder and he and my mother built their first home together. She did more than she should have and in the process fractured her back. She was in her 20’s at the time and medicine then wasn’t what it is now BUT, she lived another 70 + years with back problems and finished up hardly being able to stand up. Be careful!
@BR-il9vl 12 hours ago Hey Josh, I’m located nearby in loudoun county, if you need a hand on any of the heavy /dangerous parts of the build, I’m happy to lend a hand…. Don’t risk hurting that beautiful family of yours!

I can’t get over how much Ellie has grown. I remember when Erin strapped her to her back and worked. Now Ellie is proving to be quite the worker herself. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So nice to see Trent and Allie visiting once again. It is always such a pleasure to watch your videos. I had tears in my eyes with all of the babies and sweet Ellie's consistently loving and gentle interaction with all of the animals. If she does not become a nationally well known vet it would shock me to my core.
Ellie is going to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Her love of animals is so heartwarming. Josh & Erin, no more high risk building, you’ve nothing left to prove.
Extra Respect for Erin doing all that heavy lifting, I surely pray that neither of you get hurt doing that lifting. I am sorry that I do not live near you or I would Be There to help.
I will start with the end first, how lovely to see Trent and Allie, another nice couple on TH-cam that I follow. Your daughter love of animals is so cute. I was a bit nervous watching you both place those beams in place. (please be cautious) Stay safe, love from Mike. ❤
@@CoooeeeUltimately they met because of being fellow TH-camrs and both doing DIY house builds. Trent and Allie began YT as Vanlifers and were still doing that when Erin began their YT channel at the beginning of the A frame build. Trent and Allie were doing a Van Life travel series with Kaylee and Jordan (Nomadic Movement/ Morning Movement Coffee) through Mexico and South America until they parted ways in Panama and then Trent and Allie continued on to the southern tip of Argentina. They were there in March 2020 when the lock downs began so, they left their van behind and flew home to Utah. 3 or 4 months later they broke ground on their build. The couples said they'd been talking for a long time before actually finally meeting around a year ago.
Yes .... its been a while since I've watched Trent & Allie, but was so surprised to see them here. I've spent a lot of time in Utah, but haven't been back for far too long. Take care✌🏻
I have watched this family from the beginning and I feel like a part of their family. I love them so much even if I have never met them. Their hearts and soul is so true, loving and amazing. The work they do and teach is what is missing in the world today.
I just came here after watching Trent and Allie video w you guys and I really like what I see here so far. You remind me a bit of the Texas Couple life uncontianed or something like that. Looking forward to catching up on your videos
You’ve nothing left to prove building your home. Your personal safety is more important than anything else. You’re too valuable to your children and your viewers to be injured. Get some more bodies and equipment to make your job easier. XXOOXX from Niagara Falls, New York.

Ya…I have been watching your channel for many years. The A frame, the AirBNB house, the Cafe and all the other projects around your homestead. I really think you should bring in help to finish the house. So you can enjoy what you built and relax a Little.
Looking at Ellie happy and smiling so full of love for the animals is so prescious. Ellie a little Erin. Work safely folks, your well being is so important at this stage of life.
I'm always impressed with you guys. Ellie is so grown up. She is such a sweet, caring girl. What a great job y'all do with your building, your kids, and your care for your animals. Also loved seeing Trent and Allie. I'm a regular on their videos also.

Guys, try a “gin pole” to raise big beams. You already have the stopper on the top of the posts… simply replace the stopper and extend a temporary timber vertical 3 feet above your final location and hoist the big beams up with block and tackle. Your backs will thank you for using leverage over brute force. Always play safely… remembering to answer the question “ what next thing will kill me.”
Erin, NO way that you can't claim Ellie is your daughter. She is simply a MINNIE ME of you. What a sweetheart she is. Bottle that smile of hers and it could cure most anything today ❤❤ I got to admit that my heart skipped a beat when that last LVL slipped towards Erin. Guys, that should be a wake-up warning about looking for a little help. There's NO project worth anyone getting hurt, I don't care what anyone says😢😢. As a builder I have to say I admire both of you building your family’s home side by side. You have such a beautiful family and your little girl is so precious I have watched her grow from when Erin carried her on her back until now. You both have so much going on yet still have time for your family but be careful because you will burn out, just take it slow and easy if I were you I would suggest to hire someone to at least dry in the house with the windows and the roof and then you can work on the interior at your leisure. My wife and I are similar to you we renovated a building into a restaurant and night club it took us 18 months working by side 16 hours a day 7 days a week and built a beautiful place which we operated for 12 years until we decided to close it down because our lives were centered around the restaurant and my wife wanted to spec more time with her grand kids. That lasted about a year then we started a concrete business and did that for another 13 years now we are semi retired but after going for so long working like we did it is hard to relax now. So take it easy and enjoy your life and I will follow you and your family grow keep up the good work.
IMHO, hire out to roof framers, I'm a builder, I've seen what can happen... Great to see the herd growing and a treat to see Trent, Allie, and King Leo!
So happy to hear you considering help. At least get help with the hardest back breaking stuff. You’re gonna need a healthy back to see you through to the end of your self sustaining life.

Ellie has grown so quickly into a lovely young lady and has the most beautiful eyes. Ellie you are such a dear with the animals, you take good care of all the animals. Have a lovely day.
The Cafe looks good. I can’t drink caffeine, but if I could, your coffee looks like something I would try, Josh looks like he was really enjoying it, maybe a little too much.👍🏻👍🏻
Great to have my two best families together again, both very good builders in their own right. Super duper and their progress I have followed from a wheelchair for a total of 4.5 years, seen all the builds and watched the kids grow up.
Erin, I mean this with total respect and admiration, you are not only a machine, but a BEAST! I have been in and around construction all my decades, and you would easily outrun many laborers! We've seen you haul sheets of subfloor and sheathing without complaint, lug around an unreal number of concrete blocks, and lift LVLs! While Josh certainly found himself an incredible spouse, you have a salient point about safety! Get a skid steer with stinger or rent a Magne hoist. Oh, and ask Trent, but it's OK to be "a hair out of square!"
What a TEAM!! I was holding by breath while the two of you were placing the LVLs. Josh, what a wife you have. I am sure you are very proud of her. Please be careful and safe. I do not want to see either of you injured. Good luck!!!
Erin continues to be this old lady's hero. Still amazed. But the team work with Josh's knowledge is so great and a comforting thing. So thankful you share it with us!
Josh and Erin Don't forget fire escapes for the bedrooms windows (rope ladders) being that the stairs are located in one corner not centered on 2-3 floor. Also fire extinguishers throughout the house Rated A, B, C, D. Been watching from the beginning, since the fifth wheel days. Still look forward to your weekly videos. It's amazing how time flys, but you two have almost got the house done, hopefully a roof before winter....if not dried in.
OMG, I was literally holding my breath and my heart was racing. We all know you two can build a house with your own two hands, but it's time to call in some troops to help get it finished...or at the very least get the top of the edition on and done, then you two can breeze through the rest. We all love you and don't want any harm to come to you! One more thing, it was so good to see Chuck in your Helix ad. We all miss the dear, little guy! Stay safe, much love from snow covered Colorado!❤
What a wonderful episode!!! You guys had everything in it!! Glad to see Trent, Allie and Leo in house!!! And The babies are too cute! Thank you for sharing … I was smiling from beginning till end(except for that last beam….) That was nerve racking!!! Stay Safe and Be Well!!
I saw Leo first and thought no way. He can't be that far away from home and then there they were. Two of my favorites. Both of your young ones are so cute. Lucky families!!!
WOW, that big beam was scary. I'm 62 now, but we built our home here in Texas when I was 40. I did all the lumber take-offs, picked up or ordered every thing for the house. Cut all the rafters and passed them up to my hubby on the roof - but just a ranch style home. Still there were scary moment, reliving them now! Whew!
Such an amazing family! The kids are all growing up SO incredibly fast! John and Erin, you both are clearly the parents many children wish they had - you should consider writing a guidebook when the house is done, on how to raise good kids while having other demands on your time. Way to go!!!
Y'all are killing it on the house build, but you are right about the older you get. The less risk you want to take!! You don't have the strength or recovery time like when you are young!! So be careful and stay safe! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My heart always drops when the clip comes to the end... :( Thank you all so so much for sharing your life with us, letting us in to feel all the love, the ambition the accomplishments. Amazing, absolutely amazing! ♥
1st...AWESOME!! 2nd WOW!!! 3rd...you guys rocked those beams!!! TOTALLY!!!! Miss Ellie the " professional lamb farmer.."! You go girl...so amazing to see you with the lambs..great job!! The " Café " is lookin so great!! Stay safe and stay happy...thanks for sharing this moment of excellence and happiness...!!!! 🤙🦊🧙♂️🐺👍
I seriously could not stop smiling ☺ throughout this entire video. Y'all bring so much joy, and happiness to your audience. Especially having your precious children involved, with your day-to-day tasks... Ellie is just such a joy to watch, as she gets so excited with her animals, and seems to never fuss about doing any of her chores each day. That's just a testament to the wonderful job of her parents, that have raised their children in a Godly environment. I look forward to watching many more of your vlogs in the future, but especially, I can't wait to see the completion of your beautiful brand new home. It was a pleasant surprise to see, Trent & Allie there, visiting once again. I remember their last visit, when they were there, helping Y'all hang that boat inside your A-frame house. Anyway, y'all have a blessed week... Much love & respect from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I haven't been able to get to work in over three months now because my boss has not had enough work for the whole winter so I have been with out a job or anyway to support my family but you're videos keep my spirits up and I'm looking for a job doing roofing labor and construction labor because I love working with my hands with all my love God bless everyone amen thank you Jesus and Almighty God for everything you do for us thank you amen ❤️🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️
It was a nice surprise seeing Trent, Allie and Leo out for a visit. Ellie is really turning into quite a happy little farmer. She is so cute and loves her responsibilities; it's beautiful to see her thriving Erin. Ol' Leon was happy and smiling with all the new life out in the pasture, he's a character. I loved Ellie's reaction as the ram count kept inching higher. You and Josh did a good job getting those LVL's up and installed. The ridge beam poses a real challenge for a few reasons. Is Josh resistant to renting a piece of equipment to give the mechanical advantage? I noticed someone in a neighboring county offered their help. You should seriously take him up on his offer, I suspect he could get a couple of friends to also come along, I wish I was closer to you. It's at the point that it is dangerous and sketchy and it simply isn't worth risking an accident that would be life changing. I will be thinking of you and praying that you can get Josh to consider the options. Have a good week ahead and be safe. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Love the half hour video, and seeing Trent , Allie, and Leo stopping by was an extra bonus. You guys have come a long way from that first video, Finally your hard work is looking great.
Those beams were heavy. Erin is a real gem. but please be careful. I loved seeing Ellie with the lambs, she has a pure love for all of them. Then seeing Trent, Allie and Leo was a real joy
What a treat to see my two favorite TH-camrs together. Trent and Allie are all the way across the country . House build is coming along . Can’t wait to see the roof on so you can move inside to work.
I worked my way through college as a professional framer, and we set all of our beams by hand. It was too expensive to hire cranes at that time (now cranes are cheaper and more common). There were many times when I put a beam that weighed more than me on my shoulder and walked up a ladder to set it. Sometimes, the beams were so heavy that other carpenters would use 2" x 4" studs to help me lift the beam when I set it. So, I keenly understand your trepidation at setting the laminate beams so high up. You guys are so impressive in so many ways. Really, you are amazing. I am glad every time I see you succeed after working so very hard. Your videos are my favorite of all the real-life videos on TH-cam.
I was concerned about your safety when you were doing the roof on the A frame. I’m sure your financial situation is very different now. Please don’t take needless risk. There is so much for you to do and share after getting the roof on. Modesty is knowing your limitations.
I am a former OSHA Safety inspector and......uh .....no I m kidding......you two are so courageous and determined. I seriously bet that Erin is not less strong than in the past. The lambing, and the Ellie time is so beautiful. You guys are adorable. Happy Valentine's Day.
Congratulations on all the healthy lambs you have all been blessed with, and to be honest when you put that last beam up my heart was in my mouths and if that was me my heart would have been somewhere else as it looked terrifying.
Its great seeing the addition comeing every so close to being whether proof. Plus it was real nice seeing Trent, Allie and Leo at the Cafe. TAKE CARE and STAY WELL
Yes, Please get help!!!! We've been watching you long enough to know you can do it. Now we want to continue seeing you keep doing it with help and safety. Great video!!!
Leon smiling cracks me up! What a character! Ellie is adorable around all her animals. All boys🥰Leon Jr is adorable, Josh you better watch out if he’s anything like his daddy 😂. You two have been working your bottoms off and it’s beginning to look great. I love how you put each other’s safety first!
Josh, you are so blessed to have such a wonderful, courageous, strong help mate in this life. He who finds a wife finds a good thing. I hope you consider how valuable Erin is to you and your family. I hope I never again see you abuse your influence in this relationship just to meet a deadline. Her well being is your responsibility. Stay safe.
❤ Great work on house project. Heavy going you both mastered it. So good to see cafe and candle merch doing well. So lovely to see Trent and Allie with little man Leo visiting ... the other channel i love watching.
It was nice to see Trent and Allie someone I also follow. I started with about 5 channels that are building their homes from scratch. I only follow you, Trent, Allie, and Martin Johnson now. I hope you will one day come visit Utah. It's as beautiful in the summer as it is in the winter. Erin, I hope you and Josh will decide to hire someone for the higher levels of your house. Erin, don't think you're getting weaker; it amazes me each time I see you lifting something that I probably would struggle with much more than you. Remember in the beginning when you started, and you could hardly carry 1 4x8 sheet of plywood or sheetrock. I remember seeing you just flinging one up without any hesitation and off you go. I think I even saw you lifting two at one time last summer. You're an animal.
New subscriber here. I was sent by Trent and Allie. I really enjoyed watching Josh and his foaming milk creation. Very funny! Those trusses are so heavy. Please consider getting some help with the more difficult tasks. You'll be so sad if something happens and one of you are hurt. Looking forward to more cute animal encounters with your Ellie. 💞💗

OMG ... Erin's a complete BOSS how she held it together at the 10:30 mark when that bean shifted ... I nearly pooped just watching it!!
OMG! LEON JUNIOR! He is amazing!
What a TEAM!! I was holding by breath while the two of you were placing the LVLs. Josh, what a wife you have. I am sure you are very proud of her. Please be careful and safe. I do not want to see either of you injured. Good luck!!!
A very beautiful herd of sheep and lambs! WOW!!
please please please get others in to help or do the rest the kids needs their parents hugssssss
Ellie is the perfect little vet for her animals, she is totally perfect❤
Surprisingly Josh looks so young in this episode. :) Erin is getting it done. Thank you and have a great week.
Erin continues to be this old lady's hero. Still amazed. But the team work with Josh's knowledge is so great and a comforting thing. So thankful you share it with us!
You two are so brave. Way to go with the beams and not dying. OMG so cool to see Trent and Allie at the cafe.
Josh and Erin
Don't forget fire escapes for the bedrooms windows (rope ladders) being that the stairs are located in one corner not centered on 2-3 floor.
Also fire extinguishers throughout the house Rated A, B, C, D.
Been watching from the beginning, since the fifth wheel days. Still look forward to your weekly videos. It's amazing how time flys, but you two have almost got the house done, hopefully a roof before winter....if not dried in.
(I think they are working towards full completion certification in that state).
OMG, I was literally holding my breath and my heart was racing. We all know you two can build a
house with your own two hands, but it's time to call in some troops to help get it finished...or at the
very least get the top of the edition on and done, then you two can breeze through the rest. We all
love you and don't want any harm to come to you! One more thing, it was so good to see Chuck in
your Helix ad.
That last shot of Millie with her babies is so heartwarming!
It's great to see your home enlargement progress, as well as new lives on the farm, and the coffee shop up and running. Congratulations.
You two frighten me so much I nearly cried when the beam slipped down be so careful you are precious please get some help sending love xx
Thanks for showing the new lambs really warms my heart
LEON! Such a beautiful smile! He’s a happy daddy.

Awww, Millie laying down with her babies!!😍
I haven't been able to get to work in over three months now because my boss has not had enough work for the whole winter so I have been with out a job or anyway to support my family but you're videos keep my spirits up and I'm looking for a job doing roofing labor and construction labor because I love working with my hands with all my love God bless everyone amen thank you Jesus and Almighty God for everything you do for us thank you amen ❤️🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️
Maroon Carhartt is a great pant. Build is coming along nicely….
So exciting to see Trent, Allie, Leon...Love watching them also. Can't wait for you guys to go see their place.❤😊
always a pleasure to see these,,,yes protect yourself, get help .Lambs are a bundle of cuteness.
Amazing to see Trent & Ally and little Leon. ❤
That little kitten you guy’s saved, is so,so big now!❤
What a treat to see my two favorite TH-camrs together. Trent and Allie are all the way across the country . House build is coming along . Can’t wait to see the roof on so you can move inside to work.
Good afternoon good people!!
TAKE CARE and STAY WELL
Leon is very photogenic. He has a beautiful smile! Stay safe on your building and hoping you are able to get it done at your own pace and ability🇨🇦
The segment of Erin and Ellie with the newborn and leon was heartwarming.
