    Got mine weeks ago, it’s absolutely a terrific hybrid camera. I was thinking of getting R5 but the overheating turned me off, and R5 is also expensive even though it’s issues

      Haha it’s an illness, it gets us all. That’s exactly what I said when I rented it from canon and the same thing a friend told me when I let him use it at Shutterfest!

    Got the C70, R5C and the R3
    The R3 is the best for photo in low light for sure.
    The Battery life is CRAZY!
    The Body feels SUPER
    The weather sealing is total overkill water proof almost
    The eye focus is NOT good... its a gimmick. Every time the light changes you have to recalibrate.. it is not working well.... Yet.. (Firmware update coming)
    And it looks as the contrast and sharpness is a little more digital than the R5C fotos does.. but lightroom fixes that easy

    • @MichaelAnthonyphoto
      @MichaelAnthonyphoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always hear mixed results about it but for me it works perfectly once calibrated

    • @baekmedier
      @baekmedier ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaelAnthonyphoto No no... it works.. its spot on with the focus.. until you move into another room or from inside to outside where the light changes drastically... but if you are in the studio where the light is the same it is spot on all the time. Then there is no problem at all.

      @@baekmedierI found that you need to recalibrate it in various lighting conditions in both landscape and portrait and it’s pretty great.

    Thanks for a good description on the R3. I haven't read all of the comments so maybe another has the same question? I would really like to know how big of a print you have made with the R3? How big can you go before you get disappointed? It should be uncropped or a just a little bit cropped. You could make a video about the differences between the R5 and the R3 in just print sizes of the same subject. Please answer me here if you got one so I get a notice. Thanks!

    • @MichaelAnthonyphoto
      @MichaelAnthonyphoto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Marcus. We have printed 36 x 36 with it without problems. I don’t worry about print size much unless it’s a heavy crop.

    Awesome review. I know I want this camera, I’m just currently in that part of my journey where I continue to watch reviews and content to maintain my enthusiasm about the camera lol

    I’ve watched your past review for the canon r5 and have just watched this video on the r3…For portraiture, weddings and sometimes action, where you need high resolution…honestly, which camera would you go for? If I understood correctly on your review for the r3, the resolution wasn’t as high. I am a legally blind photographer and I use autofocus. The R3 interests me because of the eye focus… I need my camera to be on par for autofocus points, but I also need amazing image quality for prints. Any suggestions? I’m currently shooting with the canon 5D mark iv.. and I feel like it’s autofocus has degraded overtime. Thanks for all your amazing work and help.

    • @MichaelAnthonyphoto
      @MichaelAnthonyphoto  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don’t really miss the higher resolution of the R5. I guess it could be useful for editing, but at the end of the day, the way that we print and view our images, i think 24 is more than enough

    • @Faithfps
      @Faithfps ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Resolutions with how pictures are printed don't even get bothered by how many pixels in a camera. There's people who professionally use a 12MP sony and blow up massive photos and you literally can't tell the difference. The MAIN reason why you'd want like 45mp+ is if you need to SEVERELY crop, for example wildlife photography / macro photography where you need to crop a lot to punch in closer to the subject.

    • @MichaelAnthonyphoto
      @MichaelAnthonyphoto  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Faithfps yes and no…..I have a 24 x 36 acrylic in the studio shot on a 11mp camera and there is significantly more resolution in the 24 x 36 right next to it shot with an MF Fuji.
      But for small prints yes you won’t see a huge difference

    • @Faithfps
      @Faithfps ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaelAnthonyphoto Up close on larger prints you'll notice it more but if you back up you actually want less pixels

    I just sold the canon r3 I decided to keep my canon r6 mark 2 Instead . In my experience the canon r6 mark 2 almost if not the same great as the canon r3 . I didn’t use the viewfinder much so I could not justify to keep it ! For my type of work. I rely more on the lcd screen. So I’m happy that iam able to do the same work with the smaller body and have amazing results !!

    I did hold your camera at SF23 and forget about it. That was it. Don't like the feeling of R5 and R7. I know R7 is a crop sensor but we use with the 70-200mm. But the R3 feel too good on my hand. Thanks Mike you are not a friend!!!

    Here is the twist. People want the most megapixels. 50...75...100. Well. 24 megapixels is good enough for me. Because there is no Camera out there that can match the 576 Megapixels of the human eye. That is why megapixels do not bother me.
