    Thank you so much for the tutorial. I love how you got straight to the point with no distracting music. I recently purchased a Stoeger m3000 tactical model. And I couldn't figure out how to disassemble the bolt. Thank you again

    Great video thank you! Disassembled and reassembled with no problems.
    Just a tip for Stoeger M3000 owners - buy a Benelli M2 extractor and spring kit and install it. It’s an easy upgrade and the OEM one sucks. May save you some trouble down the line

    Nice video on how to. Hey will this shotgun take a rob roberts Beretta mobile choke?

      Never used a Beretta choke but if it’s the same as the Benelli chokes, my guess would be yes.

    Broke it down and out it back together. I can hear Alittle movement in my fireing pin assembly after i put it back together. Have had this gun for 2 years and tons of shells have been used. Is this rocking noise inside a normal thing over time ?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it’s probably the inertia spring moving inside the bolt. Mine does the same thing when I rotate the gun up and down.

    I just got this exact gun when I got it the bolt fell out now when the gun is put together it only slides about halfway I don’t know how to fix it also the bolt release makes a clicking noise but does nothing. Do you have any idea what it could be?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the bolt fell out, it sounds like the bolt retaining pin is either damaged or maybe missing?

    I just bought my M3000 with bronze cerakote and when going to remove the forehand and barrel from the receiver, I can pull it roughly 1 inch until it just stops and is extremely difficult to move. I have managed to get it apart but feels almost forced. Same with when u go to assemble. I get to the point where the barrel meets the receiver about 1 inch away and it’s almost impossible to move. Any ideas on why?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure you are pulling the action back a bit when seating and unseating the barrel. Otherwise, it’s possible that the cerakote may have thrown the margins off and made it too tight. This happened with an AR that I owned and I could barely get the gas block off.

    When i go to pull the trigger to test after reassembly, my hammer is not striking my pin. Got anything for that?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you can narrow it down by testing the bolt and firing pin. Make sure when you press the firing pin it pushes back out and make sure when you press the bolt it comes back out (5:50 of this video). If both of those are working it’s probably your trigger assembly. Once you know what the issue is, you can dive a little deeper into fixing it.

    Followed the steps but magazine cap wont thread on with the plug but it will without it any ideas why?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure the barrel is fully seated, otherwise the cap will not go back on. It might be off by just a little, even 1/4 in will throw it off.

    When we remove the pin holding the mechanism swivel head shaft of your rifle, can you replace it with the same frequency?

    You gave a great review on disassembling and assembling the 3000 so I assume you might be able to answer my question.
    Does the 3000 have a method for setting the cast or does it remain in the neutral position?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Stoeger M3000 comes with shims that you can install to adjust your cast and drop. If you bought a used one and they didn’t come with it, you can buy them separate on the Stoeger site.

    • @olegig5166
      @olegig5166 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen thanks, good to know. I looked at its OM at Stoeger's site and it showed no shims for cast, only for drop. But the big question I have is can it be set for neutral cast. I'm left handed while all my grandkids are righties.
      Most right handed guys who buy a gun don't pay attention to cast on or off because the gun either come with cast off for righties or neutral cast; however I'm assuming a guy like you giving a review has investigated all aspects of the shotgun.
      Benellis come with cast off for righties and include the shims to make it cast on; but Benelli offers no shims for neutral.

    Hey mate why don’t you cut down the orange mag tube plug so you can fit more rounds in your magazine?

    • @richardbartolo9187
      @richardbartolo9187 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In most jurisdictions, you have to restrict magazine capacity for bird hunting (2+1). He may have left in the plug for that purpose.

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most states I hunt in have a 3 shell limit on shotguns.

      Yes almost exactly the same, just make sure you press the carrier release button to remove the bolt and bolt housing.

    Hey, when I purchased this Stoeger m3000 the under the magazine cap the orange plastic plug/rod was not installed. I've shot my gun without yhis installed as I didnt realize it needed to be in. It has performed fine. After watching this I realized thd orange plug should be in. I've installed thd plug but now my magazine cap does not screw on, it's as if the threads don't touch each other due to this orange rod/ plug being I there. Can anyone assist me with this. Tim

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tim,
      I have encountered this issue on other models. 1st: twist the plug to make sure it’s fully seated and not catching on the spring or anything else. 2nd: make sure the fore grip is fully seated in the receiver otherwise it will stop your magazine cap from going on. 3rd: If those don’t work, cut a half inch off the end of the orange plug, sometimes they are too long. Hope this helps.

      I can't load more than 2 shells in a magazine and the problem seems to be in the rod. I've read online that the rod is there just to prevent you from loading more than 2 shells because of some bird hunting laws in some states. Can i just remove the rod so I can use it's full magazine capacity?

    • @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
      @TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In most states you can’t hunt small game or birds without the rod in. That includes turkey. If you are just shooting clays, remove the rod. If you’re hunting, I’d say keep it in. Better than a fine from a game warden.

      Mine started doing the same thing after about 1000 shells. It hasn’t caused any issues with the functioning.
