Yes, one of the best classical pieces ever, and I hope you can still monetize uncopyrighted and original works. Looking forward toa concert in the USA sometime 🙂
When I discovered this piece, I found the music of my soul. I was thinking to myself last week, 'how do I request Alexandra play it?' But what are the chances with so many requests coming in. And here you are! Thanks so much for hearing my thoughts!
This deserves an Oscar for production design. The concert hall's visuals are as impeccable as the music, and Gamazda's red-and-black dress perfectly matches the decor.
I guess that was the location she had the concert in Vienna, the "House of Strauss". It is the former "Casino Zögernitz" built around 1840, it is located in the quite posh outer 19th district.
I hope Alexandra plays more of these classical pieces in the future, excellent interpretation. The piece represent the town that won the Europa League in 2023: Atalanta of Bergamo.
It happens on rare occasions, that music is as gentle as a whisperers' sound of a feather in a breeze. All it needs is a subtle fall of an autumnleaf, or a person with that only touch, bringing together strength and vulnerability, able to express the heart with just a single key... Thank you again, for sharing your talent with the world!
The true voice of Jesus has spoken, and he said "piano". The holy spirit has shone through the music and said "good noises". God himself has hummed along and the sound was "hummmm". Amen
De France : Thank you for this magnificent, delicate performance. You've delighted the Frenchman in me. You're superb, you're enthroned in a magnificent setting. Thank you again.
I'm also so grateful that you choose to stay on TH-cam, even though from time to time 'they' will give you problems. And thanks for: Clair de Lune. *smiles*
Until now, we've been enchanted by this pianist's masterly and complex rewriting of all these famous rock tunes for the piano, and her interpretation of them. Now we know that she can also play the classical repertoire wonderfully well. Again, Alexandra, please :).
Finally, i hoped long enough for this... yes rock covers are cool, and fun, but there's nothing to truly get to know a pianist than her classical renditions. And now i fully love her
I grew up being a rocker but a very good friend in my life helped to rekindle my love for Classical and Romantic compositions. This was beautiful; I hope you will do more Classical compositions. I appreciate your videos and the challenges you have been through to create and post these videos for us and I appreciate you Gamazda.
Yea, same. I loved rock since I was a kid and I tried to learn guitar but I felt bad at it so I left and switched to piano and it's much more comfortable for me for some reason. It's cool that you can play both rock pieces and some known classical pieces.
Your versatility is incredible! The last few videos you've posted have covered the Stones, Queen, Michael Jackson, Rammstein, and Toto. Then after all that you give us one of the most beautiful piano pieces ever and play it as well as I've ever heard it played. You are wonderful.
Between the overwhelming expressiveness of your performance and the powerful elegance of you in that red dress in that space, I can only think of one word to describe this - Gamazing! 🌹🌹🌹
Bravo Gamazda! Claire de Lune is a lovely song and your playing is magnificent. Also, my favorite color is red and you look fabulous in that dress. God bless you sweetheart!
So, that song is 5:05 long, apparently, because that was perfectly paced. You're so poised, your hands are so relaxed, this was just a beautiful thing to witness. Meinen herzlichen Dank.
I love your music in general, but to see videos where you share your rooting in classical music is just top notch. Thank you for doing this every once and a while. Truly enjoyed every second of this piece.
Certainly one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed. I was playing almost like that some years ago but almost forgot it and have to study it again, from the beginning. Very demanding piece in terms of dynamics and expressiveness.
Thank you very much that you played this beautiful classic masterpiece. And you choose the best possible place for it. House of Strauß should called House of Gamazda for now. It's always special when you play a classic song. Thank you very much!
One of the most hautingly beautiful tunes ever written. This really divides painists into those who can merely play and those that can allow emotion to flow straight from their mind, through their fingers and into a perfectly melodious tune. I think you know which I think you are 🙂. Amazing Lovely filming and editing too.
Thank you Alexandra for the music you give us. I get goosebumps and tears of happiness. I am convinced that even Debussy had it. You have a softness, fragility and elegance in your performance that is unique. You make me so happy. Thanks!❤
Was waiting for Lady to start when this one finished. Years ago, Dennis DeYoung performed with a Philharmonic Orchestra, they played this song, which then led into Lady. Yes, this rendition is that good!
@@rickgalloway8344 Those are from his shows back in 2002 or so. I saw it live twice, the Orchestra fills out the music well, but her performance was all piano, and very well done.
Alexandra, with this one you have melted my heart. It has taken me 36 hours to come up with that simple statement. Agreeing with many others here, please do more classicals. I know pop-rock covers are the money makers but please throw us old classical dogs a bone now and then. John from Florida
Great. Lets hope you publish more serious music here on this channel... Rock or Pop is a nice change sometimes and kind of fun, but it can not replace more exciting music.
Gamazda, That was a fantastic Piano Cover Performance of Debussy. Also, You look Beautiful in the Red Dress you were wearing. Also, You are awesome in playing the Piano. Also, Thank you for doing the Piano Cover performance of Debussy.
You are amazing in rock songs, but you 're mesmerising in classical themes! Impeccable performance Alexandra! Your dynamics captured the feeling of that wonderful piece. Congratulations!
It is very unexpected to hear a classical piece performed by you. But it turned out very masterpiece! Thank you very much, Alexandra!
OMG another brilliant piece from the world's best pianist! This just dropped by tension level 10 fold not to mention the BP! Simply put you are the best!!!
Very nice! I could never "get" the piano; my musical instruments are limited to the Highland Bagpipes, and the Electric Bass. Simple stuff. In college (early 80's), I knew a woman, named Claire, who was (still is, I hope!) a Classical Pianist. Beethoven was our favorite composer, and it was always a delight to hear her play on the Bösendorfer Grand Piano in the lounge area. (Claire was statuesque and had long, blond hair, too. I expect that her hair is all silvery now, but I hope it's still long and beautiful.)
Sasha, you have such a wonderful "feel" for this piece. You've played it as beautifully as I've ever seen or heard it performed. But why should I be surprised...? ❤

There is something magical about classical music which has been lost to time. And Debussy was one of the greatest.
Rock piano rules but in the end no one can stop the Classics!
