I worked for my dad's as a set up contractor for 14 years, been in situations like this many times. For the most part there's always a reason you have to do something like that a power pole, tree guide wire ect. You couldn't get moved. Takes a certain kind of person to do this kind of work. I miss it from time to time aspeicaly when I see a video like this. Not like on youtube where everyone is an expert good job fellas
I see a major difference in the way I would have made that corner. He could have drove straight with the truck onto the grass another 15’ or better before making his turn. I take my truck off the road all the time to prevent these situations all the time. I try to never put a house in a twist or stress it like they did here. I don’t own a platypus or jade so I have to plan better than they did here.
Brought mine in across two creeks through the woods two fields with a international harvester tractor lots of tires in the creeks with plywood on tires to cross creeks 28 x60 double
From what I've seen so far 10:47 of video I would of went for pole went as close to that house as I could lower the house around the corner to raise ass end and I'm very experience since I was tall enough to reach the controls to operate dozer tractor helping my father he owned mobile home park and built mobile home parks around the country at age of 16 I had my 1st truck transporting 14x80s from haleyville Al to Slidell LA tearing down set ups and around the country for 34 years until I had my brain aneurysm on the road pulling a fema unit I could do it again but I don't wanna be on the road gone all the time but I love moving modurs and mobile homes awesome job
Used to ramp them in 76 ford toter with no power steering or ac did have hyd hitch n winch on frt learned from two of the best John Williamson (cripplechicken ) and Al Ferguson (Wap ) those were the days
This reminds me of when I bought my home lol they did not realize they it was going up on a hill and nowhere to turn and had to back it in long story short I was upset and the driver almost ran over my dad who was a truck driver also told them if they had no more since then that to call the mobile home place that we weren't paying for all the damages they were doing they would not even let us in the home for a week after they fixed everthing watch if you buy a. mobile home and make sure the haulers have experience also mine was ordered and the man bringing it to the lot got stopped because you are not suppose to haul them in I climate weather and it was snowing they tried to make me pay ticket lol
dander1964 Thats an understatement. I had a small mobile put on a spot and the guy walked in and looked at everything and if something looked funny when it was moving he stopped and looked again. These guys are in such a hurry they messed themselves up. If the driver had stopped and looked a couple times for himself it could have gone better. Maybe he did I couldn't watch the whole video it was so shaky it made me sick so I skipped around. If he did then he is just not a confident driver. That was messy.
OMG!! I saw bigfoot in the back ground, he was all shaky and out of focus, but I know it was a Bigfoot... That's the only time they come out, when the camera is all over the place and out of focus..😁
Whats the machine called that is behind the wheels that maneuvers and lifts the back end? I need to find out what my local mover has cause the transition from my road to my driveway plus the 45 degree angle would require the mobile home to be elevated to not drag the rear end. But it would likely need one of those.
its not really all that simple, i thought the same thing but I realized where that hill was that they were getting around if they would have simply just taken a wider turn and drove into the yard they might have either taken out the entire back portion of the trailer on the other side of the road, or flipped the entire shit n shiteroo over.
Not worth the expenses of the move considering the time to take apart, prepare for transport, permits, truck and crew, reassemble on new site. Buy a house at your new location.
