Silver Surfer recs: Silver Surfer Requiem, Silver Surfer Black, Silver Surfer Parable, Jim Starlins run on the character, Silver Surfer Vol 7 and his origins in Fantastic Four #48-50
Wolverine Origins for the Xbox. One of the most coolest and interesting scenes in any game is when you are being eyed down a Sniper Scope. I learned that if you do the Leap attack, all you see down the scope is Wolverine diving, assaulting, and hella killing all the enemies from that point of view. It was so fun and incredible to see that point of view from the enemies perspective. It looks so hilarious and terrifying at the same time. So perfect

32:15 the art style in this game is done by Chris Bachallo (I didn't know he did this game -I didn't know this game existed tbh - up until I saw this video). He's a sort of divisive comic book artist that's worked on X-Men and other Marvel comics for years.
I love the Java FF Game. I actually bought it from the Verizon store in 2006 and played it a lot on my flip phone. It was one of the few games that wasn't a puzzler, brain game or school/dating SIM. I've played it on an emulator since, and it's a similar experience, but nothing compares to playing brand new amongst it's contemporaries.
No better way to celebrate 11 years on youtube like talking about REALLY mix superheroes videogames! Also what ame i would like to play? Well none, because i have no money...but if i had money: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Wild Bastards, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
The GBA version of X-Men The Official Game having Chris Bachalo art is pretty cool. Oddly that’s something comic book games don’t do all that much, get some big popular artists from the comics to actually do the art for the game. I remember that X-Men The Official Game game having a pretty big push from Activision. Had a big Game Informer cover story on it when it was in development.
Oh I played SO MANY java games when I was a kid. My parents didn't wanna give me a handheld console, so that was my way of actually having games to play on the go during a trip or when I was waiting for my ride to pick me up somehwhere. I specifically remember loving a Ghost Rider game and a Hulk game, so yeah, there WAS an audience for that stuff.
To access the other levels in the Daredevil prototype, you have to select Load Game. Once you do so, you'll have the option to replay some of the levels; however, some of them don't work, like level two; so you'll have to skip to level three.
Oh what a time to be alive. You could just go to the store and get a Marvel game to have some fun. Spider-Man? Wolverine? Punisher? Ghost Rider? Fantastic Four? We got it all. Now? We barely got one of them. It's just... sad.
Not sure if you're going through other Marvel games but I remember Ghost Rider had a God of War style game. I never tried it, because it was on the PS2 and I had already moved on (and preferred DMC to GOW).
Yo austin @20:19 you can actually do the other levels by loading your save file (given if you got enough space on your memory card) and once doing so you'll be thrown into a level select and can choose any of the chapters the build will only work with.
3:23 - it was by the actual comic artist working at Marvel atm, Chris Bachalo. I hope you'll do the "I've played all Alien games" viseo one day cause he did illustrations for one of the greatest Aliens game (and we both know there're not too much of really good ones out there) called Aliens: Infestation. Btw, if you indeed will do that kind of video then you should know that the greatest Alien games are (no particular order): Alien 3 (snes) Alien versus Predator (arcade) Aliens versus Predator 2 (pc) Aliens: infestation (ds) Aliens: isolation
If you want a good silver surfer run, I recommend Silver Surfer: Black for it's insane visuals, and Silver Surfer by Mike Allred for its heartfelt story.
In my early and mid teens, I played the PS2 version of all of those games and even more movie tie in games like ghost rider and batman origins to mention a few.
at *44:32 i would say check out the jim starlin and dan slott runs there what got me into norrin radd as well as sliver surfer black if you want something short sliver surfer parable is one of the best stan lee stories ever in my opinion (the art is insane) silver surfer requiem is a gem for new readers and while its not a comic run silver surfer the animated series on disney plus is a criminally underrated 90s superhero show (sorry i just really like this character lol)

51:33 so what I got from this is that the Thing’s slams always sound like vine booms
I love the Fantastic Four
The GBA version of X-Men The Official Game having Chris Bachalo art is pretty cool. Oddly that’s something comic book games don’t do all that much, get some big popular artists from the comics to actually do the art for the game.
I remember that X-Men The Official Game game having a pretty big push from Activision. Had a big Game Informer cover story on it when it was in development.
holy freakin shet Austin! thanks for the effort!! you are awesome!
That 'whom whom' from the X3 game menu hit a nostalgia bone I didn't know I had.
43:56 damn, first time ive heard of parents be for real like that.
the usual is them doubling down on not wanting to be wrong.
Z-Axis made the first 2 Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX games too. Kind of nice to see they got the chance to make games not centred around BMX.
I loved Flame On as a kid. It was one of my only GBA games and I remember playing it a ton on road trips and stuff.
Austin’s out here grinding.. thanks for the dedication man!🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
To access the other levels in the Daredevil prototype, you have to select Load Game. Once you do so, you'll have the option to replay some of the levels; however, some of them don't work, like level two; so you'll have to skip to level three.
You went above and beyond for this video. You did not have to beat them all, thank you. :)
That Love Hina and manga comment hit at a personal level. Except it was the comics themselves that pushed me that way
Thanks man for this great video. Lovely hour of wild releases. :D
Lol Commander Keen. 2nd person I've ever heard mention that game. True game status.
Another long form Austin vid, I love it.
Oh what a time to be alive. You could just go to the store and get a Marvel game to have some fun. Spider-Man? Wolverine? Punisher? Ghost Rider? Fantastic Four? We got it all. Now? We barely got one of them. It's just... sad.
I really enjoyed Flame On on the GBA, it was suprisingly good.
48:58 ANDRE BRAUGHER WAS IN THAT MOVIE???? Man, one of my favorite actors. Same with Doug Jones, who did the mo-cap for Silver Surfer!
Austin. You didn’t have to go THIS HARD! But I respect you did!
Btw, if you indeed will do that kind of video then you should know that the greatest Alien games are (no particular order):
Alien 3 (snes)
Alien versus Predator (arcade)
Aliens versus Predator 2 (pc)
Aliens: infestation (ds)
Aliens: isolation
If you want a good silver surfer run, I recommend Silver Surfer: Black for it's insane visuals, and Silver Surfer by Mike Allred for its heartfelt story.
Sometimes I forget that the Nick Cage Ghost Rider movies weren't Fox but now I'm wondering what sort of video topic you could squeeze those into.
In my early and mid teens, I played the PS2 version of all of those games and even more movie tie in games like ghost rider and batman origins to mention a few.
Silver surfer requiem is an absolutely fantastic run. And it's only like 4 issues maybe? Silver surfer black is also really great and a lot of fun
Chevelle mentioned
Midnight Suns was AMAZING! I personally think it's the best comic book game ever made. I wish more people talked about and played it,
Do a video on marvel's midnight suns
at *44:32 i would say check out the jim starlin and dan slott runs there what got me into norrin radd as well as
sliver surfer black if you want something short
sliver surfer parable is one of the best stan lee stories ever in my opinion (the art is insane)
silver surfer requiem is a gem for new readers
and while its not a comic run silver surfer the animated series on disney plus is a criminally underrated 90s superhero show (sorry i just really like this character lol)
