Okay so I just read it and in this year's 48th issue of shounen jump, it literally says 最終局面突入記念＆JC最新9巻発売記念巻頭カラー which means "in commemoration of embarking into the last part and in commemoration of the newest volume 9 hitting the stores, the opening pages will be colored". And indeed at the end of Chapter 91 (in the same issue of the magazine) it says "the next issue will have its opening pages colored". I don't even read this particular manga but I thought I could help you guys out.

Ayakashi Triangle is not on the app due to the age rating. Other titles to get a mature ratings that are not on the app are Hell’s Paradise, Platinum End and one chapter of Chainsaw Man

When Roboco was first announced, I remember everyone trashed on it in the American forums. Thankfully it wasn't cancelled, Japanese seem to be enjoying as well. Can't wait for phantom seers story to evolve. The art is gorgeous, just needs some more story elements.

@@spych0367 do keep in mind shonen jump does appeal mostly to boys from anywhere from ages 7- 18 (I'm 22 myself still reading one piece) this is mainly appealing more to their younger demographic that wants lighter tones.
"Me and Roboco" is absolutely born as a parody of Doraemon, the two best friends of the protagonist are totally a send-off of the original Doraemon kids. It can also get pretty savage with its sense of humour. Plus there's not one another currently running WSJ manga that it hasn't somehow lampooned or referenced, it's quite meta (they even had a chapter in which they went to the Jump office).
Our blood oath 100% reminds me of the fake manga "Zombie Gun" from Bakuman. where a zombie with "a human heart" seeks to destroy an evil zombie. Coincidence? Probably.

I am loving Mission Yozakura Family. There's a lot of funny and adorable moments. The story is pretty good and the character developments are great. But what I like the most is how you get to familiarize yourself with the Yozakura Family. You learn more about their personality, their strengths and weakness, and their mentality. An example can be seen in Futaba Yozakura, the oldest sister. She's the best hand to hand combat in her family. From the outside, her incredible gift makes it look like she isn't afraid of anything since she'll just beat it up. But after her mother was murdered, she has been constantly worried if she is still strong enough to protect her family. That just displays how much of a strong bond she has with them. I just love it.

Loved getting to hear someone talk about these series I've been enjoying each week that I haven't heard many talking about! I also have the same opinions about Phantom Seer and Me & Roboco. Kento Matsuura's art on Phantom Seer is so good (he was also the artist for Tokyo Shinobi Squad a little while ago) and Me & Roboco is surprisingly loveable!
Also, I'm the same way about Mashle. I was not into the series much at all at the beginning, but the developments and use of more serious content mixed with the comedy changed my opinion and I really love the series now!
You should make a video talking about shonen sunday's current series I feel they're underrated, people only know ranma 1/2, detective conan and inuyasha outside japan and shonen jump dominates the international market And believe me shonen sunday have some amazing gems like mär, flame of recca, zatch bell, zettai karen children, kenichi, rin-ne, mao and many more. I love Agravity Boys I get the Gintama like feel from it and find it is a series I am loving to read each week as it leaves me laughing hard out loud often
The first chapter shows Magu chans true form as it starts off when he still had his loyal cult following. I believe he was trapped in some sort of jewel then freed years later. Since being in that imprisonment, his body had reduced in size.
His description of the series is even more flawed when he says Magu-chan hates humans. Magu thinks himself better than everyone but he wants followers so he appeases them, that's where the comedy comes from.
Regarding Chainsaw Man, remember that Kubo announced Bleach entering its final arc sometime in early 2012 and it ran for another four years. Who knows how much more CM we're getting.
id imagine not many though. bleach already had a precedent of being long running. fire punch was only 8 vols. seems the author keeps it short and sweet.
Yeah you're both probably right but I'm just getting into Chainsaw Man now and want as much as I can get. One of the best feelings for me is when I finally catch up with a manga and can wait on each new chapter - call me crazy but it'd a good feeling. I don't like binging through and then finishing it.

Phantom Seer has a lot of promise. What it needs now is a good lengthy story arc. One that will want readers coming back to see what happens next week to week.
Agreed. It did a good job of giving us enough characters and an idea of what the antagonist is about. We established a connection with the main characters, so now they need to flush out the paths they will take.
Recently discovered your channel and I'm working my way back through your manga videos. Love it. One minor suggestion, in a video like this where you mention a title could you please leave the image up for longer than just a couple seconds? A viewer/listener such as myself might not decide they're interested in a particular book until you're a couple minutes into the description. At that point you have to rewind back to figure out what you were talking about. It would be handy to have the info right there on the screen. Like I said, minor suggestion. Keep up the great content!
One thing, though, is that TH-cam videos have been Copyright striked for showing manga panels and images. It can hurt channels the same way with music and video game footage...
Moriking is great, it reminds me of another battle manga called “Arachnid” where everyone had insect based powers as well, but with a different tone, that in my opinion, makes it much more enjoyable to read. Also, as someone who studies insects for a living, this series looks like it has great potential for educational outreach if it does get bigger!

I think the reason why I am drawn to Moriking is that it reminds me of Sgt Frog and follows the same beat: fish out of water, invader is meant to take over the world but isn't successful/competent, has a human BFF, even the big sister acts the same way hehe. @@rinreborn7364 He said it gave him the same feeling. Can't say about his feelings but the comedy and the premise of the series is reminiscent of early One Piece and Black Clover. Which I both love. And with comedy at it's center it elevates it! It's really good. Me personally... I had a long time since I laughed out loud as much as with this series. Like the video said... at first I skipped it thinking it was weird and it would be canceled but almost a year later still going strong I binged it and loved it!
phantom seers artwork is just so good. I also like the sort of horror vibe you get sometimes because some of the monsters do look pretty gruesome and/or disgusting.
I wouldn’t call jujutsu Kaisen older just because it has an English release and an anime adaption, because there are rlly only 7 volumes and 13 anime episodes, which isn’t a lot.
“Older” is relative to what I was focusing on in this video. Chainsaw Man is only like six months older than Mission Yozakura but I wanted to talk only about everything that was not yet published physically in English to draw people’s attention to titles they may not yet have read, so I also didn’t talk about chainsaw man here.
I'm remembering now that I used to follow everything running in shonen jump and try all the new series as they came out, but now ive heard of none of the series youve talked about in this. I guess now i'd rather listen to someone else vetting them rather than reading them all myself...well, I dont read as much shonen in general these days.
This is my first time watching your videos and I'm glad i was recommended to watch it. You gave good overview if the series. Regarding my experience, i've followed the main six you mentioned, and as for the 12, only undead unluck and Mashle (quite recently too). After watching this video ,I'll definitely check out from Meguchan up to hard boiled Cop and Dolphin, starting from Yozakura Family. Only read the first chapter before this cause it was overshadowed by another title, Spy x Family. Regarding Undead Unluck, i personally didn't really like it as I find the writing a bit messy. But given how highly you and others in comments put it, I might give it another chance and catch up from where I left. Liked and definitely subscribed after checking your other videos after this. I read the first 9 chapter of Mashle. I wasn't drawn interest after that. This works gives me the vibes of a knock-off version of One Punch Man if it happened in Hogwarts. The main character is not fascinating /entertaining, the side characters same thoughts. The majority of jokes did not land. The panel structure and composition gives me no emotions. Overall, I felt nothing after reading Mashle. That is even worse that if I despised it, it would require that it brings me emotional. After my short reading, I gave myself this advice that Mashle is not suited for me and that others will enjoy significantly more than I did. You enjoyed it. That is cool and I respect your reasons.

I tried this method while reading Samurai 8, the newest manga of masahi Kishimoto, and I hab only frustrations, anger after it. I cut my losses. If you like it, good for you, not going to call you an idiot, it's not worth it. It is clearly not my thing. Out of the selection, my personal favorites are Hard Boiled Cop and Undead Unluck.
@@Dee-Mellow Black Clover I had some diffulty getting into it in the start by the very fact that some elements that I have seen from early Naruto. However right after introducing Yami in the story, my interest improved significantly. The panelling in action scenes are dynamic, spectacular and breathtaking. Moreover, the main cast grew up fast and I now find them Quirky. Mashle, I feel nothing for the characters nor the setting. If you enjoy it, fantastic. The Mashle adventure will be done without me. Enjoy what you have and have a pleasant moment. 👍

Jigokuraku is just like Ayakashi on the Viz app its unavailable but is on the website. I know in the former there are actual sex scenes and nudity, but tokyo ghoul:re’s on the app and thats also got one. So idk whats up with it

Agravity Boys is the big surprise for me, when I saw the image on the Manga+ App, I was like "This must be a fanservice comedy manga, and the girl is cute, but still skip", I was quite surprised after I read some of it, after all, the girl was actually a boy and the manga was kinda fun for me, the whole wholesome bro aura is just to cool for me, I just enjoy these guys trying to solve ridiculous problems like being mistaken as a girl or having to go to the bathroom (In space!), I also thought that it had a vibe like Grand Blue, where the jokes or something like fanservice may appear, but is that bro aura that makes me happy.
unfortunately shonen jump will never bring over Beelzebub for one simple reason, it has a naked baby in it for the entire series and they would have to censor it and that would be a lot of effort for a primarily gag manga which historically do not sell well

I felt the same way about Mashle and I actually wasn't a fan of the first chapter. I don't know why but the cream puff joke really annoyed me. But.... after chapter 2 I enjoyed it more and more. Its one of my favorite titles right now.

But what I like the most is how you get to familiarize yourself with the Yozakura Family. You learn more about their personality, their strengths and weakness, and their mentality. An example can be seen in Futaba Yozakura, the oldest sister. She's the best hand to hand combat in her family. From the outside, her incredible gift makes it look like she isn't afraid of anything since she'll just beat it up. But after her mother was murdered, she has been constantly worried if she is still strong enough to protect her family. That just displays how much of a strong bond she has with them. I just love it.

Loved getting to hear someone talk about these series I've been enjoying each week that I haven't heard many talking about! I also have the same opinions about Phantom Seer and Me & Roboco. Kento Matsuura's art on Phantom Seer is so good (he was also the artist for Tokyo Shinobi Squad a little while ago) and Me & Roboco is surprisingly loveable!
Also, I'm the same way about Mashle. I was not into the series much at all at the beginning, but the developments and use of more serious content mixed with the comedy changed my opinion and I really love the series now!

I love Agravity Boys I get the Gintama like feel from it and find it is a series I am loving to read each week as it leaves me laughing hard out loud often
Nice video, Undead Unlcuck and Mashle are my favorites too! Couldn't get into Me & Roboco but I'm so many people like it.
The first chapter shows Magu chans true form as it starts off when he still had his loyal cult following. I believe he was trapped in some sort of jewel then freed years later. Since being in that imprisonment, his body had reduced in size.
His description of the series is even more flawed when he says Magu-chan hates humans. Magu thinks himself better than everyone but he wants followers so he appeases them, that's where the comedy comes from.
Regarding Chainsaw Man, remember that Kubo announced Bleach entering its final arc sometime in early 2012 and it ran for another four years. Who knows how much more CM we're getting.
id imagine not many though. bleach already had a precedent of being long running. fire punch was only 8 vols. seems the author keeps it short and sweet.

Yeah you're both probably right but I'm just getting into Chainsaw Man now and want as much as I can get. One of the best feelings for me is when I finally catch up with a manga and can wait on each new chapter - call me crazy but it'd a good feeling. I don't like binging through and then finishing it.

I love Moriking, it was always gonna be a short series being set in one Summer, but I'm glad it will probably see it through to the end
Phantom Seer has a lot of promise. What it needs now is a good lengthy story arc. One that will want readers coming back to see what happens next week to week.
Agreed. It did a good job of giving us enough characters and an idea of what the antagonist is about. We established a connection with the main characters, so now they need to flush out the paths they will take.

Recently discovered your channel and I'm working my way back through your manga videos. Love it. One minor suggestion, in a video like this where you mention a title could you please leave the image up for longer than just a couple seconds? A viewer/listener such as myself might not decide they're interested in a particular book until you're a couple minutes into the description. At that point you have to rewind back to figure out what you were talking about. It would be handy to have the info right there on the screen.

One thing, though, is that TH-cam videos have been Copyright striked for showing manga panels and images. It can hurt channels the same way with music and video game footage...

Moriking is great, it reminds me of another battle manga called “Arachnid” where everyone had insect based powers as well, but with a different tone, that in my opinion, makes it much more enjoyable to read. Also, as someone who studies insects for a living, this series looks like it has great potential for educational outreach if it does get bigger!
I love the series as well and I am happy that people have finally started talking about it more.

And with comedy at it's center it elevates it! It's really good. Me personally... I had a long time since I laughed out loud as much as with this series.
Like the video said... at first I skipped it thinking it was weird and it would be canceled but almost a year later still going strong I binged it and loved it!

phantom seers artwork is just so good. I also like the sort of horror vibe you get sometimes because some of the monsters do look pretty gruesome and/or disgusting.

I wouldn’t call jujutsu Kaisen older just because it has an English release and an anime adaption, because there are rlly only 7 volumes and 13 anime episodes, which isn’t a lot.
“Older” is relative to what I was focusing on in this video. Chainsaw Man is only like six months older than Mission Yozakura but I wanted to talk only about everything that was not yet published physically in English to draw people’s attention to titles they may not yet have read, so I also didn’t talk about chainsaw man here.

I'm remembering now that I used to follow everything running in shonen jump and try all the new series as they came out, but now ive heard of none of the series youve talked about in this. I guess now i'd rather listen to someone else vetting them rather than reading them all myself...well, I dont read as much shonen in general these days.
Gag manga that transition to more traditional action shonen can be really solid. Hitman Reborn is classic.

Regarding my experience, i've followed the main six you mentioned, and as for the 12, only undead unluck and Mashle (quite recently too).
After watching this video ,I'll definitely check out from Meguchan up to hard boiled Cop and Dolphin, starting from Yozakura Family. Only read the first chapter before this cause it was overshadowed by another title, Spy x Family. Regarding Undead Unluck, i personally didn't really like it as I find the writing a bit messy. But given how highly you and others in comments put it, I might give it another chance and catch up from where I left.

I read the first 9 chapter of Mashle. I wasn't drawn interest after that. This works gives me the vibes of a knock-off version of One Punch Man if it happened in Hogwarts. The main character is not fascinating /entertaining, the side characters same thoughts. The majority of jokes did not land. The panel structure and composition gives me no emotions. Overall, I felt nothing after reading Mashle. That is even worse that if I despised it, it would require that it brings me emotional. After my short reading, I gave myself this advice that Mashle is not suited for me and that others will enjoy significantly more than I did. You enjoyed it. That is cool and I respect your reasons.
@@-aj-8819 If I am not in the mindset to laugh or to get interested in the characters, I am not going to force myself through it. I tried this method while reading Samurai 8, the newest manga of masahi Kishimoto, and I hab only frustrations, anger after it. I cut my losses. If you like it, good for you, not going to call you an idiot, it's not worth it. It is clearly not my thing. Out of the selection, my personal favorites are Hard Boiled Cop and Undead Unluck.
@@Dee-Mellow Black Clover I had some diffulty getting into it in the start by the very fact that some elements that I have seen from early Naruto. However right after introducing Yami in the story, my interest improved significantly. The panelling in action scenes are dynamic, spectacular and breathtaking. Moreover, the main cast grew up fast and I now find them Quirky. Mashle, I feel nothing for the characters nor the setting. If you enjoy it, fantastic. The Mashle adventure will be done without me. Enjoy what you have and have a pleasant moment. 👍

Jigokuraku is just like Ayakashi on the Viz app its unavailable but is on the website. I know in the former there are actual sex scenes and nudity, but tokyo ghoul:re’s on the app and thats also got one. So idk whats up with it

I am definitely a LITTLE turned off by the amount of gag manga in WSJ right now but oh my gosh i stan Magu-chan so hard it makes me guffaw so hard for so many reasons
Agravity Boys is the big surprise for me, when I saw the image on the Manga+ App, I was like "This must be a fanservice comedy manga, and the girl is cute, but still skip", I was quite surprised after I read some of it, after all, the girl was actually a boy and the manga was kinda fun for me, the whole wholesome bro aura is just to cool for me, I just enjoy these guys trying to solve ridiculous problems like being mistaken as a girl or having to go to the bathroom (In space!), I also thought that it had a vibe like Grand Blue, where the jokes or something like fanservice may appear, but is that bro aura that makes me happy.

unfortunately shonen jump will never bring over Beelzebub for one simple reason, it has a naked baby in it for the entire series and they would have to censor it and that would be a lot of effort for a primarily gag manga which historically do not sell well
Seven Seas could get the license as they did with To Love Ru or Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs.

If any, it looks like Mission Yozakura Family. It’s given me Reborn vibes already and is starting to lean further into action and more away from the comedy like Reborn did.

I felt the same way about Mashle and I actually wasn't a fan of the first chapter. I don't know why but the cream puff joke really annoyed me. But.... after chapter 2 I enjoyed it more and more. Its one of my favorite titles right now.
mmh i read a manga, that a guy used muscle magic (just him being so strong he can do like air punches and such) and black cover where the guy without magic :p thats pretty much top 1
