Final Fantasy XIII-2 Caius Theme Mix (The Way it should be)

- I got very bored and decided to listen to some final fantasy music well I realized that there are 3 themes of Caius. Followers of Chaos,Heart of Chaos,and Invisible Depths. I decided to combine them all I hope you guys enjoy. I do not own any of this all rights go to Square-Enix. I am just a fan.

I'm all in support of Square claiming him the strongest villain so far.
+Yami No Michi o Aruku Kare Except none of them were practically immortal. Lightning became the Goddess of Death for Heaven's sake and she still couldn't rightly kill him, nor was he killed at all at the end. Unlike other villains.
Also unlike other villains, Caius was not set to a goal of destroying the world in a fashion like the others. He wasn't (too) morally insane like Kefka, Sephiroth, or Kuja, therefore we never got to see him go all out like we do them.
And it's clear to tell that, despite the Goddess of Death ringing at his door, he still wasn't going all out. I don't think we ever saw the full extent of his power, because it always seemed that he was toying with you as the player. Jecht would put up a good fight but I'm pretty sure Caius would win just by getting up over and over until he wore Jecht down.
+Yami No Michi o Aruku Kare Let's also not forget that while lots of ff villains became gods of heaven or hell or earth and whatnot, Caius became a god of the entire universe. So at that point I'm sure he could kick nearly everyone's ass.
Guess we'll never really know for sure, but if Square themselves claim it then it's gotta be canon. Take it up to them I guess *shrug*
+Yami No Michi o Aruku Kare Sephiroth was the most boring and uninspired villain in the world. Caius is pretty much what people think Sephiroth was.

Generally when people refer to a character being strong they mean the character as a whole, not just their power. sephiroth is boring and uninteresting and can't really be in the running for "most powerful"
Just to sit still in your seat to this epic theme is almost as hard as standing still with an umbrella in a hurricane
fighting him over and over again in the requiem of the goddess dlc was a pain. He is still one of my favourite video game characters.
I've never played the game and don't plan to, but it sounds like Caius was very well received by the playerbase. What do you like about him?
@@deProfundisAdAstraes not arrogant or cruel, he acts out his motive in a righteous manner with little ego and no useless talk. His voice direction is amazing (Hes also beautiful ;3) and his background is very unique and compelling for a motive. His powers are also pretty nutty.
SPOILERS:
All this on top of the fact that unlike every other villain, he actually Won and archieved what he wanted, with no retcons or ifs or buts or "haha good wins in the end" business. Yet all of it lead to the good ending in the third game, without dismissing his victory and satisfaction
@@deProfundisAdAstraf i were to go into detail in his background- his motivation is neither pure selfish gain nor is it a cliche "villain is actually in the right" trope.
he is cursed to be the immortal and eternal guardian of a seeres doomed to reincarnate and die young in every age of humanity. Broken by the constant loss of her he decides to remove the flow of time himself from the universe, because No more future means no more seeres and no more dying. Coincidentally his immortal heart is what protects the flow of time, and only one person (the protagonist) can kill him. At the final boss battle of the game he tricks the protagonist into killing him, and thus the flow of time. In death he archieved exactly what he wanted, the eternal stasis of history and the subsequent decay of the universe.
In the events of the third game which revolve around salvaging the souls of the humans before the universe decays into oblivion to make way for another universe, Caius helps the team and he and the seeress stay back in the unseen realm, to govern the flow of time of the new universe. Because time doesnt flow in the unseen realm itself, he gets exactly what he wanted all along, while still helping humanity in the end. He is the perfect villain who went through a redemption arc without having to give up what he so deeply craved in his villainy

Oh wow been a year and a half since I posted this video 5,000 views not bad. I remember when I made this mix. I just got done playing Xiii-2 what a good game that was. I was just messing around with audacity and made thus beauty. I have no regrets.

Wow, what a great soundtrack for fighting the gods in AC Origins... seriously I highly recommend to do so for anyone who plays that game

If you're weaponizing the soul of a goddess, I think you have a little leeway to use an impractically large sword.
And a moogle being a swordbow is just funny.

I loved it transitions could be a little better but I really enjoyed it great job with it
Caius' sword does have an edge. If you look at it the actual blade is in a straight line. The huge curve at the bottom counts as the hilt.

Transitions could have been a bit more smooth as they are very obvious but still a very nice mix and idea!
To design a simple sword seems to be too easy for the designers :))
My mind immediatly wants to connect Caius to Thanos.

Caius imo is a much more interesting enemy than Sephiroth. FFXIII story kind of sucked. Caius in the other hand carry a lot of the game on his shoulders. IDK..... Just a though.
I agree, Sephiroth is great and all, and an amazing villain, but his motivation and goal is really quite, I dunno...odd, a tad overblown. Whereas Caius is trying to end the eternal suffering of Yeul.

I agree. It's unfortunate that such an awesome character was put in a spinoff that a lot of people shied away from.
I think Ciaus, Noel, and Yuel should have had a non-Final Fantasy game all to themselves. XIII-2 should not have been a FF game and if it were set in its own world, without Sarah and company, I think the game could have been much much better. FFXIII should have ended with the original.

At bobmcbob49 whom I can no longer reply, what is wrong with Caius' weapon? Ridiculous fantastical weapons have always been a hallmark of the FF series and people like them for doing that. And Caius technically is from the past, and he lived into the future and then to eternity. So it is not people of the future having weird weapons. Furthermore what future? This isn't even our universe or our future, it's XIII's universe.
At least that was has an edge

Finally. A remix that is good. But still not as good as the original :/
In the future, people use weapons that make absolutely no sense. Aside from Noel's shortsword.

Quick question is Caius, the only villain in the series to get what he wanted at the end. Or did I miss someone or others.

Kefka achieved his goal, temporarily though. Caius is thd only villain to have achieved his goal and the only one to not die(aside from maybe Bhunivelze, who is asleep , possibly)
Juan Laise Ardyn archieved his goal as well. Killed the blood royal and ended his immortality.
I'd say at the very least Kefka and to a temporary extent Ardyn, arguably Sephiroth too, but Caius caused the universe to reset and the god above god to die, so in the long run I'd say he's the most successful since what he did couldn't be attempted to undo

No offense, but this sounds more like a mix of Yu-Gi-Oh! And StarFox rather than Final Fantasy
