    I wish there was a time lapse of it filling back up after this huge clean up. Would have been nice to see the difference in water color! That pond needs a water feature to keep the water moving!

I love to see the landscape of Latvia, and how people live outside of my little bubble (ha) I love how you can use the maps to walk the streets in the area - and I saw a beautiful little old farming village right there, but they stuck those God awful concrete monster apartment buildings smack dab in the middle of it. geesh what a horrible thing to do. Thanks again for sharing what you located. We're keeping our eye on our friend Mr AJ!

    Sorry to sound rude, but I never know if you are working or just playing in the mud.. I have been watching for a long while, I also have ran heavy equipment for many years.. a lot of what I see you do, does not make any since to me, like you smoothing out some mud and then a minute or two latter scrap it up and move it...I have watched others do pond cleaning and do one that size in about a day or less.. I just wonder if you do what you do to entertain us, show off you skills, which I think you are extremely well & highly skilled... I just don't understand your methods.. I maybe just reading more into it, I just don't get it... Again, sorry to sound rude.. Just after watching for so long I had to ask.. Why??

    • @MrAJWorks
      @MrAJWorks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good questions TheWolfster001👍
      You think it's really interesting to work with that mess. Yes, it is interesting for a while, but then it starts to annoy that you can't do anything.... If you told me exactly the time I smoothed and then scrap it up and move the mud, then I could explain to you... One thing is that you see everything differently because you have worked with heavy equipment, you see many things that others can't even imagine. This is also happening in other areas...This pond is not like other ponds on the edge of the field. There is asphalt all around here, and I can't get to the other side whenever I imagine. If there were no pedestrian bridge, things would have happened a little differently. So I had to plan a little and even wait so that I could do everything on one side to the maximum, so that I didn't have to go back and forth...I want to show the process of how everything happens. More for people who have not encountered it. Lest feel like I came and cleaned and left in two hours and everyone thought oo how easy. Many do not understand much and it must be shown🙂
      Hopefully I answered something for you😉

      Yes, the water could be pumped out faster and the mud dried, but that's another story. I had this situation and I struggled with the mud😉

      If you have seen other pond dredging videos, e.g. Letsdig18, you'll notice that they almost never do a total cleanout, but leave quite a lot of mud behind, and from what I've learned it's mostly because of economy - most of this kind of jobs has a fixed budget, and hauling all the mud out would be very expensive.

    • @Sumwunwee
      @Sumwunwee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrAJWorks the more you move it the more it becomes sloppy... either stock pile it 24hrs or remove water... when you pumped the water I noticed the hose can not sit on the bottom it become blocked quickly and will not pump water ..... try digging small basin 2 meters sq and using float on hose so it’s 3 times it’s diameter deep stop sucking in mud

    • @MrAJWorks
      @MrAJWorks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what we did, as you write. Look that a pit has been dug and the float is also there. And there's one thing you don't know. There is flowing sand and the pit is quickly full. The idea is good for you👍

    Why u not put the wet mud in a lorry for dumping

    • @Rickimusic
      @Rickimusic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is what the wheeled excavator is doing. It looks like the amount of trucks they can get on this job is small and the trucks are also small so their weight to carry is equal to water which means a lot more trips to the dump site.

    • @jrand2631
      @jrand2631 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      From a cost beneficial view, it would be bad - you'll basically be moving a lot of water from one place to another. It's better to let the mud dry out a bit before moving it.
