      Yes mare got you on Facebook book🤙, deffo be up for that at some point. Also the ally deck does it make tht much
      of a difference? I been toying with the idea but as I have to inflate my boat everytimr I don't no if its worth the extra hassle.

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jayfrs hello mate, sorry for not responding earlier!! Its a mixed bag i’d say if you’re packing it up every time. It would definitely add an extra 10 minutes of faffing around and swearing tbh! It definitely does increase the ride & comfort though for sure! Have you ever had a sort of ripple effect of waves going through the air deck? It completely stops that & is more stable in rougher conditions 😎

    13 years on SUZUMARE 390 AND SUZUKI 15 DF then bought 20 DF. The motor is good, but I decided to change the boat to an H370 SIB PRO. Aluminum flooring is good if you don’t always need to assemble and disassemble it. I need to carry it to the basement. That's why I decided to buy an air floor

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nice mate 😎😎 I might have to upgrade my ecu as I said. Air floors are a really good innovation. I started off using the air deck but decided to try the ally deck. I haven’t looked back on the decision so far! It makes the ride quality so much better

    Hi there, how would you rate the long term build quality of the seams, drings, glue and pvc ? Thanks

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello mate, thanks for the comment! I can’t fault the boats construction to be honest. There were a few problems which needed ironing out but those have since been addressed in the newer updated models. I haven’t used the d-rings for anything but putting “too much” stress on them could cause problems.
      The main body is heat welded instead of glued which apparently makes it stronger & last longer.
      The pvc is also of good quality as well.
      All in all its definitely the best boat out there for fishermen!

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello frisbee mate! Great news, They’re a really good boat! I don’t actually have a fish finder myself but if I was to get one i’d probably pick the Striker 5cv or Striker 7sv depending on what you want. Carlo from @inflatableboatfishing does a bundle for the fish finders on his site! If you give him a ring, He’ll be able to sort you out with the black friday offers too!
      Being a bit cheeky, If you do buy a hydrus, I have a referral link here which may give me a small kick back 😉! Thanks alot;

    How do you find moving the tohatsu around? Im not a big guy but i plan on sliding the engine in/out of my estate and lifting onto boat.
    With the handles and the very short distance i plan to move it i think itll be fine but people keep saying to me "Thats two bags of cement!"
    Appreciate the video :)

    • @FishingwithMattUK

      Hello mate how you doing!
      I used to have an 8hp 2 stroke which weighed about 24kg. I this engine fit in my back seats & was manageable.
      However when I upgraded to a 9.8 tohatsu I had to start putting it in the boot & my boot has a substantial load lip so if was a massive pain to get the engine in and out.
      If your car doesn’t have a massive load lip then it will be easier for your but I have my engine permanently locked onto the transom of the boat which is trailered so I don’t have to faff around with it!
      They are heavy engines & it can be very difficult to manoeuvre after a long days fishing.

    I see you have a trailer. Space is not something I have to be able to store this. Can it be deflated and packed up relatively small?so it can fit in a car etc. thanks

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello mate how you doing! This boat can indeed be deflated and packed down. My boat is a 3.7m so it will just about fit in a hatchback but it is a squeeze. I’d have to put the engine in the passenger seat if I wanted to transport it all in the car. There are smaller models available though

    • @Poonslaya
      @Poonslaya 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FishingwithMattUK good thanks. This is good news I was looking at a Jonny bass 100 and a 2.5hp outboard however I don’t particularly want to be sat out in the North Sea with one of those so this inflatable actually looks ideal. I see you were up to 10 miles out which is bloody far lol. The 15hp engine did you find it is not that suitable for the longer distance or is it purely for economy. I would also like the aluminium deck and I am curious on how to transport that. I take it would have to go on the roof? Or just bight the bullet and get a small van.

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Poonslaya haha nice mate! Yeah the inflatable boats are very capable crafts & are pretty safe too. The 15hp is a perfect match for the boat but a 20hp is the exact same size just more expensive. The 4 stroke engines are way more fuel efficient compared to a 2 stroke, I wouldn't have made it back from my 10 mile trip with a 2 stroke & with the 4 stroke I still had another 10+ miles of fuel left! The aluminium deck packs down into a bag the same size as the boat but a thinner profile, probably about 20cm thick. If I was to pack it all down in the car i'd have my back seats down with the boat in there, fishing rods etc beside and on top. Id have the aluminium deck along the rear seat foot well area & the engine in the passenger seat!

    • @Poonslaya
      @Poonslaya 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FishingwithMattUK I thought the aluminium deck would have been one solid piece if it packs down as you say then I am sold 😂. I wouldn’t touch a 2 stroke engine for an outboard.one more question what sort of pump would be compatible with blowing up the boat.i would be looking to use the car to inflate it and would want something a bit better than a tyre inflated or I’d be there for days lol

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Poonslaya hello mate, yeah it packs down haha! What brand are you looking into for an inflatable? I had a 2 stroke and I loved it & miss it to be fair 😅! For a pump you can’t really go wrong, the boat I have come with a hand pump but a recognised brand is the Bravo pumps. You can get away with an Itiwit brand one from decathlon though for example, it will just take a bit longer to inflate

    These wheels are terrible for hand hauling, they're only good for car/truck hauling, not for hand launch on remote beaches, polyurethane foam filled are much better, they're much lighter and very sturdy, no risk of deflation, I made short review on my channel

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers for the comment, I had a quick flick through your vid (with no sound).
      Everyone’s opinion on wheels will be different, i’ve had 3 different brands & found these ones to be superior in every way.
      For my application, I only launch & retrieve on slipways or hard rock/sand beaches - I specifically stay away from shingle or soft sand.
      The seamax wheels are extremely reinforced and are unlikely to break unlike 99% of other wheels out on the market. My boat weighs about 65kg + 43kg engine + 20kg in gear… it all adds up & the other brands can’t even move without breaking.
      In your scenario going along a path, I don’t see any problem with the seamax wheels

  • @Vassle
    @Vassle 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I'm struggling with your fuel economy argument. If its the same engine then the only way to make it more powerful is to feed in more air/fuel. Those modern ECUs will just inject more fuel at higher rpms to get more hp there is no greater efficiency there. Saying that if the drag of the boat reduces with speed then that is another matter.

    • @FishingwithMattUK
      @FishingwithMattUK  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello mate. I believe for the ECU upgrade you also have to take out something to do with air flow (letting more air in), so presumably it will increase fuel flow. Other people in the community have done the ecu upgrade and have noted that the engine has more torque (gets up to speed quicker) & gets to the top speed at only half throttle.
      To be honest, It probably could be a pointless upgrade thinking about it. I normally have the boat at half speed anyway!

    I’m thinking of getting a 15hp outboard for a Honwave T32. Leaning towards a Suzuki rather than a Tohatsu though, purely because my motorbikes are Suzukis and I’m a Suzuki fanboi 😂
