I actually just started the Night Lords audiobooks a week ago and was thinking how well your audio would fit with it! The answer is IT FITS SO WELL! Excellent work!
They are well done, despite a few times the wrong “voice” is used for a character but that is understandable given how there is a single narrator/reader. I think the Ciaphas Cain audiobooks using multiple narrators like an old British radio drama adds something more, and so I wonder what the Night Lords trilogy would sound like if done in a similar manner.
Well yes, but actually no. This is an edited version and more importantly: includes my own music. Check the description next time, before leaving rude accusations.
@@OfficioAudiorum it is not rude or inaccurate. Check the original comment. It's been cut and pasted together and it's been done fairly well. I have listened to this many times and enjoyed it. Still to claim it is an original work is purely Ludacris.

We swore vengeance on the Imperium, yet we run from every battle where we don't possess overwhelming force over a crippled enemy. We fail, again and again and again. Have you ever fought a battle you'd struggle to win, with no hope of running away? Have any of us? Have you ever, since the Siege of Terra itself, drawn a weapon with the knowledge you might die? I will not see my life whored away without meaning. Do you hear me? Do you understand me, prince of cowards? I want vengeance against a galaxy that hates us. I want Imperial worlds to cower when we draw near. I want the weeping of this Empire's souls to reach all the way to Holy Terra, and the sound of suffering will choke the corpse-god on his throne of gold. I will cast a shadow across this world. I will burn every man, woman and child so the smoke from the funeral pyres eclipses the sun. With the dust that remains, I will take the Echo of Damnation into the sacred skies above Terra, and rain the ashes of twenty million mortals down onto the Emperor's palace. Then they will remember us. Then they will remember the Legion they once feared." -Talos Valcoran
I knew a man who praised his son after standing up to a school bully. But when his son tormented that same kid his father disciplined him because he didn’t want his son to be a bully. I think the 8th legion was never disciplined or saw the difference like that father did.
The 8th Legion was at one point no more Chaotic than true loyal children of the Imperium. They were a hateful Legion, Curze hated his Father, himself, his brothers, his planet, and his sons, while the eldest sons of Nostramo hated Chaos, and fought for their Primarch's romanticist ideals, and believed his words that that they were the Emperor's punishers and his vengeance. In the present day however, there is no argument that can be made for the Legion of Murder. They have not only left their ideals of vengeance and committing atrocities as punishment for the guilty, but have embraced the ruinous powers wholeheartedly. Kids these days.
The Night Lord novels are definitely one of my favorites in the Black Library. I never though of how Talos would sound, but i wouldn't even complain if this would be an official audio book. Amazing work! Ave dominus nox, my brother
What I love about the novels is how they humanize the night lords for the first couple of books and then pull the rug under you in the third book when (SPOILERS) they torture and kill millions of colonists on the planet Tsagualsa. They’re scumbags and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
@@theodoresapp7625 Not really. The books do a great job of making you understand and even empathise with them. But they are no where close to being good guys.!Even the Night Lords themselves know they aren’t good
You can understand that despite being Marines they are still very much guided by human nature And while they are loyal to one another, they are still some of the worst people out there. Maybe even more so than other Legions since they commit their actions not in the name of Chaos but their twisted morality.
