Islam does not affirm that Jesus is the Christ. This is the basis of Christianity: that Jesus is messiah and God in flesh. If you were to accept Islam you would have to reject Jesus (1 John 2:22)

You need to know more about Scripture before you try to make Muhammad a prophet and that Non-Muslims should accept Muhammad as a biblical prophet. While David and Solomon, had multiple wives, they were disobeying God's word Deut 17:17 Neither shall he (a king) multiply wives... Lot was not a prophet. And his act of incest with his daughters was also against God's command. What Lot did was never condoned by God. Abraham did not have multiple wives! A concubine was not a wife. As for extra-marital sex and multiple wives, you deliberately confuse prescription with description. - The Bible records history which includes the sin of mankind. God never endorses in the sins recorded so this is a fallacious claim. Give one Bible verse where God unequivocally states that he approves of extra marital sex or having multiple wives. - Jesus gives the example of divorce to show that some of the Mosaic Laws were given because God permitting Israel to do certain things because of the hardness of their hearts. God never wanted them to but out of love He made a compromise to get moral progress. So allowance is not synonymous with endorsement. So, don’t make any fallacious claims - Jesus condemns sex outside of marriage and strongly implies that polygamy is sinful (Matthew 19:4-6, Matthew 5:27-28, Mark 7:21-23) - However, Islam doesn’t just permit the marriage of multiple wives but also endorses it. You can find 11 passages in the Quran, talking about how it's in Arabic, with the most notable justification for this as 'so that you may understand'. If we look at 41:44, it gets interesting. And even though we had made it a non-Arabic Qur'an, they said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign reading and an Arab audience?" The word walaw is translated as 'and if', but from other concordances of the word walaw it can also be translated as 'although, even though, though.' 'would have' is in brackets, the word laqalu means they said, but they've put 'would have' in brackets because walaw has been translated as 'and if'. So this translation basically tells us of a pre-existing Quran in a foreign language. The mainstream translation/narrative makes no sense, why would an angel tell a man "if we had made it a reading in another language they would have complained", well obviously?? Now why would the language of the Quran be such a prominent issue if it was just a revelation from an angel in Arabic to begin with? That's because it's actually just a collection of epistles/letters written to Arabic audience who complained about a foreign reading and wanted one in Arabic.

The problem when it comes to the quran is how it's very hard to translate, because unlike English, the Arabic language is vast and highly dense with all sorts of words with multiple meanings. If you read quran in arabic, you'll understand verses better than their translated counterparts. When it comes to the word "ولو" it depends on context, and some examples can be also found outside the holy quran. If it comes at the beginning of a sentence it's regarded as "adat shart" meaning a condition took, such as: لو فعلت هدا صار هدا "If you do this, this will happen" And it's different when it comes in the middle of a sentence such as: ما كانوا ليكفرون بالله, ولو وسوس لهم الشيطان They wouldn't have disbelieved in God, EVEN though/IF Satan whispered to them. You see, it depends in context.. these things are in the Arabic language itself. Same thing cane be found in other examples. Having grown up Christian they are very consistent in why the reject Mohammad as a Prophet and that’s because he rejected the divinity of Jesus. It may have been a different story if Mohammad had back in life. Anyone denying this to a Christian is instantly discounted because Jesus said “the only way to the Father is through me.”

All these same statements could be made by say other offshoots of Christianity. For example Mormonism who believe Joseph Smith was the next prophet of God. Islam is an offshoot of Christianity just as Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism and Judaism is an offshoot of ancient Babylonian religions. I think the more interesting part of Islam is how it evolved not as a book inspire by God (Allah) but as another evolution or interpretation of very, very old pagan beliefs. For example stories in the Bible and the Quran predate the monotheism and the belief in a singular God we believe we know now. In the future we’ll see an offshoot of Islam that professes to have the next more perfect word and their leader will be another prophet and so the cycle will continue.

Even if Allah was the same God, Muhammad fell victim to delivering prophecies from the devil himself. The Quranic content concerning Jesus Christ is fully inline with early beliefs found in the Christian community save for one or two details. In the Quran Jesus Christ is the messiah of Israel, the prophet of Israel and the word of God. He is not divine. Jesus Christ in Islamic thought never resurrected bodily from the dead. He either died on the cross and was taken by God to paradise or God saved him from the cross. The NT gospel content begins with some thing like the Quranic content but then it began to become more and more imaginative and mythical. The Quran then does not violate the first or original gospel content. Therefore Christians can convert to Islam. Most if not all of those contradictions - who don't really matter for messages - are found in the Old Testament which is a thousands of years older than the Quran. It's a surprise it's still around and still very accurate with a few exceptions. So we have errors in both. I still stick with the earlier ones. Those were much closer to the actual events.

You have made a number of misassertions in this video. The whole premise of the video is off. I've never heard a christian use any of those 'reasons' to justify why Muhammad is not a prophet. You might claim to have answered some claims of commenters in your pinned comment but those answers fall short. The notion of a prophet in the OT is quite clear. John the baptist was the last prophet in christianity. There are clear reasons why no further prophets in the OT sense will exist post Jesus life and death and resurrection. The purpose of prpphets was to convey God's will to the people and act as intermediatories for God's will. Following pentecost and the dispensation of the Holy spirit to christian followers of christ it is clear that no such intermediatories are needed. All christians are equal in having capacity to receive and interpret God's will directly. Any claim by Muhammad or anyone else to be an 'OT like prophet' cannot rest consistency with this picture as Jesus proclaimed an end to nature of the old covenant between God and man and He asserted that the only way to God (and to the Holy spirit) was now through Him. You are making straw man claims of christian beliefs in order to answer/justify points that noone is making either because you don't understand Christian theology or you are wilfully ignoring it to decieve people. Of course christians (and jews) will disagree that Muhammad had any connection to God whatsoever but their reasons for it as not as trivial and basic as you claim and the only way you can refute that is by choosing to ignore what the earliest documents show that Jesus (a prophet in islam) states about Himself and any who follow Him.

I wish an unbiased organization would make surveys about each Abrahamic religion, with questions about the basics of the religion and controversial questions, and give those surveys to a varied enough population sample from several countries, to show the percentage of Muslims who know the basics and controversies of their religion and the percentages of Christians and Jews who know the basics and controversies of their religions. Such a survey would statistically prove that most Christians and Jews have never read the Torah or Bible even once, while a significant percentage of Muslims would've read the Quran at least once. It would also prove that Muslims are generally much, much more knowledgeable about their religion than Christians and Jews are knowledgeable about Christianity, the Bible, Judaism, and the Torah. The phenomenon that so many Christians and Jews so easily buy into the famous Christian and Jewish critics of Islam just goes to show that they really know very little about their religions, or they somehow think that their religions are too "outdated" to apply to today's world, they're okay with this, and they're wondering why Muslims haven't abandoned their religion too and become secular and "modern" like them!

To answer your alleged contradiction, if the eternal God has to become the Messiah and die, then he has to dwell in flesh, and die in flesh. That is what God the Son, Jesus did. For Clarification...the bible does not describe prophets as perfect people. "A prophet can never fall for that" is in itself a false claim. Despite the differences, you should still say that "David, according to them committed adultery". Prophets are 'Masoom' and therefore never commit any sins. All prophets of Jews and Christians are our Prophets too. You should refer to them in utmost respect. Therefore whenever you are answering to their allegations, then say, "David according to your Bible did so and so" , "Moses according to your Bible did so and so".

Bible Verse - Book of Galatians Chapter 1 verse 8 - prophet Paul clearly states any future gospels are false. The verse is as follows: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” - He literally prophesied the coming of a future false gospel - that was presented to man from an angel. In Islam the prophet Muhammed was reportedly visited by an angel with a new gospel. So yes, there is biblical basis for not accepting the tenants of Islam. Having said that. I think one of the biggest clear evidences for his prophethood(may Allah grant him peace) is how he corrected the jews and the christians on the concept of Monotheism on like a 100 different points. He taught us the most perfect & untainted form of Monotheism that ever existed despite the fact he was in the center of pagan idolatry. He never ascribed ill or spoke ill or allowed for intermediaries in worship with The Creator, even though there are prophets in the bible who did so or even became idols themselves.

The bible was written almost two hundred years before Muhammad was born. The dead sea scrolls was an exact copy of the old testament and torah and nowhere written in there the name of Muhammad. So therefore, the comforter cannot be a dead man. The comforter is surely the living one. In the Quran there is only one man that didnt die and is still alive up to now and he is to judge us all. Christian here. Those aren't the reasons we don't believe that Muhammad is a prophet. Muhammad and Islam denies the basic tenants of the Christian faith. I understand that Muslims have their own reasons for doing so, but denying the deity of Christ was declared heretical long before Islam showed up. The divinity of Christ is something that Christians simply can't compromise on, and thus can't acknowledge someone as speaking a message from God while simultaneously denying him. Not looking to get into a debate about Christ's divinity, just giving the basic reason.

@@santanGIO interesting, so what was apparantly his criteria because I keep being told a number of people within the qur'an were prophets even though nobody apart from muslims have ever recognised them as such. Also Jesus identifies himself in the Gospels as God many many many times. It is actually indisputable. Even atheists scholars such as Bart Ehrman admit that Jesus declares himself to be God in the Gospels. As we have no other contemporary source you can't say that he didn't, only that you don't believe the Gospels. But if you say you don't believe the Gospels then you are in contradiction with the qur'an which constantly declares them as being from God. So I don't really know where we go from here. Perhaps you becoming a Christian is I guess.
In the old church, yes, Mohammed falls in line with the other prophets however he came after Christ and in the New church which all of those things are not accepted

Jews do not reject Muhammad. We see him and his message as a continuation of God’s message to Abraham and Moses. But we had Moses. Arabs had Muhammad. God promised Abraham that He, God, will spread His word. He just did not say He will do it all at once. He selected the Israelites to be the first. He dejected the Europeans to be the second but they paganized the religion as it spread. Christianity is not monotheistic. Then He selected the Arabs. God kept His promise. But at different times and places, which is why we different prophets. There is no point pushing Muhammad in the Israelites as they already got the word from Moses. So what’s the problem? I think the early Muslims created a problem that simply was/is not there.

When you first had faith in Christ in your heart you were sealed and justified from that day forward, no matter what you do or don’t do our Lord has saved your soul and made you a new creation. Eternal Security ( 100% Going to Heaven) This is isn’t a license to sin, it’s a realization that God gave you the best gift ever by saving your soul from hell. Your old habits of sin go away over time when you walk with the Lord. No one is perfect, that’s why Jesus had to Justify (Impute righteousness) us through his righteousness by the blood. So don’t be discouraged you will grow and your old habits will shed away over time. You will always have struggles but God always remains faithful. Loving people is what the Lord wants us to do, so I would encourage everyone to minister the Gospel and be an example of Gods power through the renewing of your mind on Gods Word. When we listen to people speak and show them love God will shine through us. The “small” things in life like a smile, a hug, a great attitude, a conversation with a stranger, an encouraging word, cooking dinner for someone in need, loving your parents, and having a heart for people as Christians should have. First of all, killing isn’t wrong if God says to do it. God is the giver and sustainer of life. Life is a gift. He has the right to stop sustaining that life whenever he wants to. Lemme give an analogy to display this.
God creates a bank account for you. Every second God puts 1 pound in your bank account and every second you spend one pound. God is the one who has been giving and has been sustaining your bank account. The money is a gift. He has the right to stop putting in money into your bank account whenever He wills.

Secondly, the prophecies of Daniel, Mathew 24:4-51 and 2 Peter 3:10-12 have not come to past yet. So he cannot assume they have.
Mark 9:1 or Matthew 16:28 do not refer to the second coming.
Mark 9: 1. ‘ And he said to them, "Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power." ‘
Matthew 16: 28. ‘ "Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." ‘
Both say something along the lines of the Son of Man coming in his kingdom with power. This phrase is not exclusive to the Second Coming.
Matthew 12: 22-29 ‘ Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Matthew 12: 28. ‘ But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. ‘
Jesus says very clearly that the kingdom of God has come upon them, when he drives out demons by the Spirit of God and yet still this is not referring to Second Coming.
1 2 Peter 1: 16-17. ‘ For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." ‘
Peter tells us that he witnessed the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, and then goes on to say when it happened, that God the Father said “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
There are two places where God the Father says this in the New Testament. In Matthew 3:17 at Jesus baptism and the less known one, in Matthew 17:5 at Jesus’ transfiguration.
Now there are many good reasons why Mark 9:1 and Matthew 16:28 cannot referring to the second coming. I will list 3.
Both Mark 9:1 and Matthew 16:28 are immediately followed by the account of the Transfiguration (Mark 9:2-8 and Matthew 17:1-8, respectively). This close narrative connection suggests that Jesus' promise that some would not taste death before seeing the kingdom of God in power refers to the upcoming event of the Transfiguration.
The Transfiguration is described as a powerful revelation of Jesus' divine glory. This event showed a glimpse of the kingdom of God and Jesus' majesty, fitting well with the description of seeing the kingdom come with power. - The Bible records history which includes the sin of mankind. God never endorses in the sins recorded so this is a fallacious claim. Give one Bible verse where God unequivocally states that he approves of extra marital sex or having multiple wives.
- Jesus gives the example of divorce to show that some of the Mosaic Laws were given because God permitting Israel to do certain things because of the hardness of their hearts. God never wanted them to but out of love He made a compromise to get moral progress. So allowance is not synonymous with endorsement. So, don’t make any fallacious claims
- Jesus condemns sex outside of marriage and strongly implies that polygamy is sinful (Matthew 19:4-6, Matthew 5:27-28, Mark 7:21-23)
- However, Islam doesn’t just permit the marriage of multiple wives but also endorses it. Ask any Muslim if the Quran condemns polygamy. Then ask any Christian is the Bible condemns polygamy. You would learn a lot.
- Mohammed is supposed to be an example for every person for all times. How can a person, who endorses in sin, which is condemned by Jesus, be a prophet, who is supposed to be teaching about the same God as Jesus?
3. Prophets in Islam and prophets in Christianity are two different things. In Islam, prophets are supposed to only commit minor sins. In Christianity, prophets are able to commit many types of sin, they still posses the free will you choose. A prophet in Christianity is chosen by God to bring a message but that doesn’t mean their free will is now limited to minor sins
- In Christianity, it is possible to sin and to write books inspired by God. So stop presenting your argument about Solomon writing scripture and being in sinful polygamous marriages as if it’s a logical contradiction. And I already explained that allowance isn’t synonymous with endorsement.
- The Old Testament never endorses in Lot’s and his daughter’s sins. There is no verse that says that. Rather it condemns it. Funnily enough, you forget that passages such as Leviticus 18:6-18 and Leviticus 20:11-21 even exist.

Jesus is referring specifically to exorcism so this objection is just a terrible misinterpretation of the text and ignorance of context.

So this translation basically tells us of a pre-existing Quran in a foreign language.

There is a BIG difference between the Arabic language and other languages.
The problem when it comes to the quran is how it's very hard to translate, because unlike English, the Arabic language is vast and highly dense with all sorts of words with multiple meanings.
If you read quran in arabic, you'll understand verses better than their translated counterparts.
When it comes to the word "ولو" it depends on context, and some examples can be also found outside the holy quran.
If it comes at the beginning of a sentence it's regarded as "adat shart" meaning a condition took, such as:
لو فعلت هدا صار هدا
"If you do this, this will happen"
And it's different when it comes in the middle of a sentence such as:
ما كانوا ليكفرون بالله, ولو وسوس لهم الشيطان
They wouldn't have disbelieved in God, EVEN though/IF Satan whispered to them.

All these same statements could be made by say other offshoots of Christianity.

I think the more interesting part of Islam is how it evolved not as a book inspire by God (Allah) but as another evolution or interpretation of very, very old pagan beliefs.

Most if not all of those contradictions - who don't really matter for messages - are found in the Old Testament which is a thousands of years older than the Quran. It's a surprise it's still around and still very accurate with a few exceptions.

You have made a number of misassertions in this video. The whole premise of the video is off. I've never heard a christian use any of those 'reasons' to justify why Muhammad is not a prophet.
You might claim to have answered some claims of commenters in your pinned comment but those answers fall short. The notion of a prophet in the OT is quite clear. John the baptist was the last prophet in christianity. There are clear reasons why no further prophets in the OT sense will exist post Jesus life and death and resurrection. The purpose of prpphets was to convey God's will to the people and act as intermediatories for God's will. Following pentecost and the dispensation of the Holy spirit to christian followers of christ it is clear that no such intermediatories are needed. All christians are equal in having capacity to receive and interpret God's will directly. Any claim by Muhammad or anyone else to be an 'OT like prophet' cannot rest consistency with this picture as Jesus proclaimed an end to nature of the old covenant between God and man and He asserted that the only way to God (and to the Holy spirit) was now through Him.

I wish an unbiased organization would make surveys about each Abrahamic religion, with questions about the basics of the religion and controversial questions, and give those surveys to a varied enough population sample from several countries, to show the percentage of Muslims who know the basics and controversies of their religion and the percentages of Christians and Jews who know the basics and controversies of their religions. Such a survey would statistically prove that most Christians and Jews have never read the Torah or Bible even once, while a significant percentage of Muslims would've read the Quran at least once. It would also prove that Muslims are generally much, much more knowledgeable about their religion than Christians and Jews are knowledgeable about Christianity, the Bible, Judaism, and the Torah. The phenomenon that so many Christians and Jews so easily buy into the famous Christian and Jewish critics of Islam just goes to show that they really know very little about their religions, or they somehow think that their religions are too "outdated" to apply to today's world, they're okay with this, and they're wondering why Muslims haven't abandoned their religion too and become secular and "modern" like them!

1) In the book of Isaiah, it is written that the Messiah would be buried next to the rich (Jesus was buried in the tomb of a rich family). In Micah 5:2 we read that the Messiah who will be born in Bethlehem (Jesus was born in Bethlehem), would be an eternal being. Who is eternal except God? To answer your alleged contradiction, if the eternal God has to become the Messiah and die, then he has to dwell in flesh, and die in flesh. That is what God the Son, Jesus did. Dying in human nature (flesh) does not mean dying in divine nature.
2) The Bible never says God the Father punished the Son. The Son incarnated in flesh in order to deify humanity, and died on the cross and resurrected in order to break the gates of Hades (Sheol). As death is the consequence of sin, and Jesus was sinless, he bore the consequence of the sin (death) by himself. God was not punishing himself, for God is tripersonal (trihypostatic), not an unipersonal (monohypostatic) monad as Islam teaches.

Christian here. Those aren't the reasons we don't believe that Muhammad is a prophet. Muhammad and Islam denies the basic tenants of the Christian faith. I understand that Muslims have their own reasons for doing so, but denying the deity of Christ was declared heretical long before Islam showed up. The divinity of Christ is something that Christians simply can't compromise on, and thus can't acknowledge someone as speaking a message from God while simultaneously denying him.

Also Jesus identifies himself in the Gospels as God many many many times. It is actually indisputable. Even atheists scholars such as Bart Ehrman admit that Jesus declares himself to be God in the Gospels. As we have no other contemporary source you can't say that he didn't, only that you don't believe the Gospels. But if you say you don't believe the Gospels then you are in contradiction with the qur'an which constantly declares them as being from God. So I don't really know where we go from here. Perhaps you becoming a Christian is I guess.

God promised Abraham that He, God, will spread His word. He just did not say He will do it all at once. He selected the Israelites to be the first. He dejected the Europeans to be the second but they paganized the religion as it spread. Christianity is not monotheistic. Then He selected the Arabs.
God kept His promise. But at different times and places, which is why we different prophets. There is no point pushing Muhammad in the Israelites as they already got the word from Moses.

So don’t be discouraged you will grow and your old habits will shed away over time. You will always have struggles but God always remains faithful.
Loving people is what the Lord wants us to do, so I would encourage everyone to minister the Gospel and be an example of Gods power through the renewing of your mind on Gods Word. When we listen to people speak and show them love God will shine through us. The “small” things in life like a smile, a hug, a great attitude, a conversation with a stranger, an encouraging word, cooking dinner for someone in need, loving your parents, and having a heart for people as Christians should have.

When I learned I was sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eternal Security) I was so happy, for almost my whole life (30 years of it) I believed a lie that I could lose my salvation by my bad works. So now I got proper doctrine, and now the truth of his love makes me want to do more for God cause he’s done so much for me. It also makes me want to grow in my relationship with Christ way more.
