    Trey Sanders missed his freshman season due to an almost career ending injury that he sustained during a horrific car wreck. His 2nd season was basically his first season as a college running back and you're already writing him off...? Come on, at least give him 2 full seasons under his belt before you cast him aside. I think that it's actually counter-productive to 'peak out' in high school and be a 4-5 star recruit. First, because there is a lot of pressure to put you in as a Starter too soon, which many Freshmen aren't mentally, psychologically or emotionally ready to handle.
    And Second, your body is still maturing and too much physical impact could lead a career ending injury, I don't think that MOST college football players should become full time Starters before their 3rd year (redshirt Sophomore). By then, they are 20-21 and they are reaching their 'Man Strength'.
    I like to compare two famous Football players - Brian Bosworth and Clay Matthews.
    Bosworth was a fulltime Starter by his 2nd (redshirt Freshman) year and, while he had a great college career, he was a Wreck by the time he got to the NFL. He only had one good year as a Starter and then retired after his 3rd year, with a ruined body.
    Clay Matthews was a skinny unrecruited 'Walk On' to USC, played Scout Team and Special Teams until his 5th year (redshirt Senior), when the coaches put him into the starting line-up as a hybrid Defensive End-Outside Linebacker (USC's Elephant position) and tore through the PAC-12, having a tremendous year. He was also training his ass off for 4 years to build himself up from 210 to over 240 lbs. Yes, I think's it's possible to do it drug-free - especially, when your Dad, Uncle and Grand-Dad were all NFL Players, so the genetics were there.
    Anyway, after Clay Matthews great final year in College, he gets drafted in the 1st round by the Green Bay Packers and has a fantastic NFL Career - in large part, because he came out of college at full strength and injury-free.
    Too much, too soon often RUINS potentially Great Players.

    • @SurgingChaos19
      @SurgingChaos19 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think you're on to something here about this. It's the whole reason why redshirting players exists in the first place. There is a huge difference in size, strength, conditioning, and mental fortitude between a true freshman and a 5th year senior. Some guys just aren't ready yet to make the jump from HS to college immediately since their bodies are still growing and need time to bulk up more. Not everyone can be like Adrian Peterson who can play as a true freshman and immediately dominate at the college level.

    • @ChillConservative2k15
      @ChillConservative2k15 ปีที่แล้ว

      You got it flipped, youre using survivorship bias. Most guys who dont start til late in their college careers dont make it in the league. You need experience to get better, sitting on the bench for 3 yrs doesnt help develop players.

    • @carljacobson7156
      @carljacobson7156 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChillConservative2k15
      It depends on the position played - a QB that's been a started for most of the NCAA career is a positive, maybe also Wide Receivers and Cornerbacks - but, for the high physical contact/impact players (Linemen, Linebackers, Safeties) it may not be an advantage is helping them reach the NFL.
      The 'wear and tear' and injuries from being a Starter at a high D1 level is often counter-productive.
      Their bodies are often badly damaged with chronic injuries before they can even make it to the NFL Draft.

    This guy said first dude had 600 yards & 4 yards a carry is bad LMAOOOOO
    Those stats sound like an option 2 or 3 running back, either way, 4 yards a carry is a great stat line.
    He then moved to Kevin Jones and neglected that he had the almost same production level each year. The only thing that changed was his carries went down, but his TD's went up.
    This is a pretty bad analysis, especially for the running back position. Dope video concept & we can tell you worked hard on it, but you gotta learn the game if you're gonna breakdown stats.

    34:10 As our friend Matt here has decided to be a salty Bama fan and use the time he should be discussing Zamir White’s career bitching about how Kirby beat Bama’s ass last year in the National Championship Game I think I’ll take over telling you all about Zamir White’s career!
    Zamir White was the number 1 running back in the 2018 class after putting together a absolutely dominate high school career where he went over 7,000 yards total and in his final season went over 2,000 yards and over 14 yards a carry!!! Like many running backs his issues were tied to his health, during the high school playoffs he tore his right ACL and during a scrimmage game not even a full year removed he tore his OTHER ACL. Despite this he was able to be a role player in 2019 behind DeAndre Swift and Brian Herrien before taking over as one of the primary backs complimenting James Cook in 2020 and 2021. His stats have improved every year as he removes himself from the ACL tears and he finished his final year with 856 yards and averaging 5.1 yards a carry and with a win over Alabama 33-18 to bring Georgia it’s first national championship since 1980! He was recently drafted in the 4th round with the 122nd pick of the NFL draft to the Oakland Raiders where he has a chance to really explode as he continues to remove himself from those ACL tears and hopefully have a great NFL Career!
    P.S. Kirby has had several running backs that have gone 1000+ yards and has put several running backs into the NFL such as Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, and previously mentioned DeAndre Swift. Cry some more Matt 🧂🧂🧂

    Matt, you keep saying you will never understand about having all the talent but the person is always getting in their own way. Picture this, there is a hole in the back yard. You have had that hole since you can remember. You desire to fill that hole but you chose to fill it with grass clippings instead of soil and cover plant the grass seed over so the hole does not come back. Every few weeks or so you fill that hole with grass clippings until one day you fall In that hole. Now that hole has you and two options the easy one to just get out and fill with grass or slowly work yourself out filling the hole with soil until you are out and plant the seeds to grow over the hole and it is there but it cannot trap you. With most of these people depression, ego, drugs any thing can cause the hole to be there (and get bigger) until one day all you see is that hole. Defeat is easy and the hardest thing in the world but once you make that decision to fill the hole with anything but soil your downfall is coming. Life is hard and for poor, uneducated, addicted, childhood trauma or any combination can drive to not get up in the morning, not put that extra work and or ride out what you can until you are a shell of your former self. People go though all this and at 16-22 year of age you make bad decisions when your not guided or told no. The exception is the guy who comes from nothing and rises above to succeed.

    You speaking bout Road Rage u r correct,! Il take it a step further ! Why aren't the big tech companies required to develop cellular devices that knows when a driver attempts to use device while driving the device will not allow such except for emergency calls? They have the technology to do such n this needs to be implemented! This will decrease a lot of road rage incidents accidents n more!

    I know a guy that got into a road rage incident. The 2 parties pulled onto the shoulder of the road, and Billy Bada$$ decided to pull a pipe on the other driver. He f@#ked around and found out. That driver he pulled pipe on was packing a hand cannon. Billy Bada$$ was laid up in the hospital for a long time. He was also paralyzed from the waist down. I want to say after 15 years of rolling around in a wheelchair, he finally was able to walk again.

    PLEASE do a video on Demetris Summers. I went to his high-school and also South Carolina. I pretty much know the story, but it's always fun to hear more.

    This reminds me of Marcus Lattimore. Man even tho he wasn’t on this list he was a top recruited player and unlike Micheal Dyer he was an excellent dude on and off the field. Sad to see injuries take out athletes who actually wanted to change their lives and those around them and go make it big

    The random highschool highlights of Shaqaun, Derrick Henry and Leonard fournette throughout the whole video while speaking on other players threw me off and was confusing. And not remembering athletes already covered in the video when speaking on athletes later in the video was definitely not good
