Kudos to the consideration you give to the creatures you're catching, being considerate about filling up clam holes you dug up, dispatching crabs before the boiling, trying to leave little trace of human activity etc. High production video and excellent commentary = a great video to watch

I had cioppino at one of the old school Italian seafood places that used to be on the wharf in San Fran in like 1991… I have been making and loving it ever since. I love hearty, messy, peasant food. I can't imagine how good it must be with ingredients that fresh.

Daniel, I’m a Daniel too… and I love anything to do with the ocean or the coastline. My wife is Filipina, I’m American Japanese and we love to eat all seafood. So your videos on harvesting seafood and cooking it is really interesting for us. I’ve traveled the world as a Air Force Veteran and been able to enjoy catching and eating seafood around the world. It’s a blessing watching you do the same along my native California coast. Thank you brother for the super interesting TH-cam videos that you create. Daniel Suzuki, Retired USAF and Vietnam Veteran

Everyone's said it but it can't hurt to add -- this was an EXCELLENT VIDEO! I sincerely could have watched you dig up those clams for an hour. I'm out at the coast in Oregon right now on a foraging adventure. I'm camped out in my tent, it's been pouring rain for hours(tomorrow it'll be raining all day too), and I couldn't be more stoked! I love coming out here to gathering food, have fun, and learn! 🖤🌧🏕

Yo, this is a brilliant video, D! I think you might've just found your niche. Don't know how much you focus on cooking, but this was great. Taku is more of a sushi chef, Matts is an all out fisherman. I'd say if you do this more (focus on the abundant life on the ocean and just explain stuff and cook different meals other than sushi) more often in your videos you'll blow up a lot more!
Granted, you already should have as your edits are always fire. Good luck on the journey, big man and here's to hoping you hit that milli within the next 6 months. You deserve it!

Recommend using a long metal rod with a handle slightly curled at the end under gaps and crevices of rocks, you’ll find big rock crab stuck at the back and pull them out, works a charm and more interesting to do

The orange stuff is “tamale” which happen because the water is fresh and chlorinated.. when i have shrimp shells, Salomon heads, fish remnants, crab shells, i put them in a freezer bag and save it for making stock. That makes the best cioppino base.. by the way, your ciopinno is the bomb, real great work....
