It was the double take I had when you said Sony laptop near the end 😛 Thanks for the review, everyone else is reviewing the pro which isn't for everyone 👍
I'm extremely thankful you reviewed the 13" base model. I've been a user of smaller laptops since that crazy netbook era of the 2000s because I like the ease of carry and don't need beefy specs most days of the week. I'm an artist and like carrying a tablet like a sketchbook when using art programs. A few years ago, I purchased my first 16" pen display laptop from HP that had a 4k screen, a graphics card for hardcore gaming and other beefy things, and I've almost never used it. The fan screams when the computer is just idling, the battery died after about 5 hours of sleeping, the 4K screen made art program interfaces barely clickable, and it got hot enough to cook bugs that landed on it while I'm doing minor tasks. It's also really heavy. And then all the games I wanted to play on the machine now that I have a hip gaming machine were released on the Nintendo Switch. :) All the big name artist youtubers that review these computers for drawing have all only reviewed the Book 3 Pro 360. I know the pen is gonna work the same, but I wanna go back to having small, non-gaming ultrabooks with pen input and your review answered questions I had about it as a general productivity device! As for the screen res, 1080p is perfect for art software with minimalist user interfaces that start looking weird or excessively tiny in anything higher. Anyway, thanks again! Sorry for my rant!
Been debating between this and the tab s8 plus. The tab is great, but the keyboard cover kills it with the issues it presents. This seems portable, powerful enough and it has tablet capabilites. Thank you so much for reviewing this!
i am also about to get this however my main concern is the lowish resolution screen. if you primarly use it to take notes with the s pen, the screen might not be sharp enough and cause fatigue
did you get it? i am debating this or a android tablet various brands that have a pen, but i really want a windows 11 machine as i have a pc so it will fit with that and be able to use photoshop as well as other things
A big THANK, to you, sir, for this illuminating and excellent review, giving me much help to choose a laptop! Wishing you a Happy Holidays and all good things coming your way! Best regards from Sweden!
It's a laptop brand that I love. And the laptop you reviewed is very suitable for me and I think the price is also reasonable for me. If I had money, I would buy this laptop. This laptop is so beautiful.
I can tell you had Dolby Atmos turned off during the audio test, it's off by default for some crazy reason. You absolutely want to turn that on, it makes a drastic difference. Also, doesn't the pen magnetically attach to the back of the lid? I have the book3 pro 360, and I can attach the pen to the lid and up front to the right of the trackpad. Hopefully there's a spot on the model you have too. Great review by the way, you touched on many aspects.
Ah doh! I didn’t even think to check atmos, most laptops I review have the atmos or Dolby on by default! Thanks for pointing it out. With regards to the pen, I tried moving the pen round the sides and back and couldn’t find any magnetic areas which was a real shame 😢
This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Such a tough choice, ASUS ROG have a lovely 13" with dedicated graphics (which last an hour on battery), Dell have the XPS which looks stunning but fragile. Microsoft surfaceis 2 gens behind but has lovely build quality. Apple's M2 Air is stunning with lovely audio and there is this Samsung. The Samsung is impressive, maybe the best all rounder.
@Mash IT considering a pretty average user that needs to do some light video editing, photoshop, programming, 3d modeling and such, do you think it is worth buying the 16gb version or will the 8gb one just get the work done?
Many 11th and 12th gen intel laptops suffer from thermal throttling and poor battery life in thin and light laptops. It would have been good if you tested for that for the 13th gen, as this is a major concern.
Well I tested the battery life and it was pretty good at 14.2 hours of light wifi streaming, obviously if you are heavily pushing the cpu it will drop Substantially. I used the laptop for light gaming (dota2) and multiple cinebench runs and experienced no throttling although they don’t allow the cpu to boost as high as other laptops (it sits at about 20w solidly)
I was mad when I heard the speakers. I was like I'm taking this thing back. But I went through the settings, went to Dolby atmos and put the speaker on movie.. it made all the diffrence in the world. I'm still little shaky about how thin it is. But hopefully I'm careful enough to keep this thing a few years.
Samsung kinda really pissed me off with the Galaxy Book3 series this year. I really don't even want the Book3 360... I want the ultra. But no touch screen + a 16 inch screen is a dealbreaker for me. 16" laptop is WAY too large for me. My ideal setup would be a 14" touchscreen Galaxy Book Ultra. Or even a 13 or 14" Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. I'm coming from the 13" Galaxy Book Pro 360 so I guess it's an upgrade either way.
Hey I was testing out the laptop. There's a magnet near the top lid of the laptop. So if you want to just keep the pen near by while you use it. That's a thing.
Hi @Mash IT would the specs on the laptop you are reviewing on this video be good enough for graphic design or would you recommend the i7 and 16GM ram version?
I bought this a week ago. But now thinking to return this laptop. Problem is Heating. Even i run small apps or something 15 mins then feels like i did 3 hours programming 😂😂! I am bit confused also it's my laptop problem or whole samsung 3 series like that😒😒?!
thanks a lot for the review ! Im hesitating between this model and the 15'6 model. Would you consider it worth 200£ to get the intel i7 version and a 2-inch larger screen ? And i wonder if the battery will last as long as this model with a i7 CPU ? Last question if it doesnt bother you, did you find the fan too noisy to use it in a library ? if anyone can answer me you'd help a very indecisive student !!
£200 is good for the i7 and 15.6” and I would say if you plan to use it as a tablet or draw on it a lot the 13” makes more sense but if you use it more often as a laptop then the 15” is better. And it never got that loud plus you can put it on a quiet mode for library use 👍
The ultra has a 40 series, but doesn't have a touch screen. It is just baffling. I'm trying to replace a Surface Book for years now and nothing gives me the same 3:2 screen, excellent keyboard and mouse on Windows at 15"" with similar build quality and metal chassis and runs cool with no fans on the bottom to worry about. It's not like the hardware inside my laptop was even that great new, but it's been a great laptop for me and even MS screwed up it's successor with the very niche Studio.
did you find a solution? I have the survace book 2, which is in a very bad condition. I already have a tablet so I am not sure if I should go for more power or this
1. Are there thermal issues like the 2 series? 2. Would you say it's well suited for hardcore users such as programmers who need to run heavy apps/models, etc? Would really appreciate your response!
There doesn't seem to be throttling from my testing (using Cinebench r23 and some light gaming) but Samsung don't push these P chips to their max rated wattage which is a shame, they let it sit at 20w instead of the intel max spec of 28w which is why the cine r23 score is a bit lower than some other P series CPUs. that said I would rather a constant 20w rather than the high wattage of say the Dell XPS 13 plus which then over heats and throttles down to about 10w And point 2, I guess it would be fine if the builds are using CPU not GPU to complete as Iris graphics are really poor!
@@MashITTech Thanks for responding! 2. By run models I meant more like programming related machine learning models, etc. So I guess to rephrase, do you think it can handle running heavy software for long workhour like durations? The spen and the tab settings are really tempting even though I don't have a strong need for them haha. So I'm hoping to remain focussed and prioritize performance over anything else.
Got this laptop and after update the option for mobile data has disappeared from the laptop. How do i fond it as i have a sim in it and cannot use it ...and i have 100gb of data...
SS built quality never disappoint me. If it use Ryzen as it's an Ultrabook, I may want one. It might sound funny but I never got accustomed to the tiny up&down arrow keys.
Can you confirm if the galaxy book 3 360 i7 13.3 inch model (which I have pre-ordered )has the 13th gen intel i7 P processor or the U processor? In the Samsung site it's mentioned U, but you have listed out it to be P, would be a great help if you can confirm on this.
Deciding between this machine and the Lenovo Yoga 6 with the newest AMD Ryzen 7. I think if this Samsung had an AMD CPU and GPU I would pick this without hesitation because I prefer the design and aesthetics. But when it comes to performance I really prefer what AMD has to offer especially with their iGPU. AMD Radeon is just way ahead of Intel right now.
Great info and appreciate as others have said to see a base model review not the pro. I'm between getting the very base level and one level up with the 16gb ram and i7 processor with 512gb storage. Would the performance improve a bit above the very base level?
if you plan using it for really light work the base is probably the better buy but the 16gb of ram and slightly better CPU will certainly help with more demanding tasks (photo editing, 3d design and development work etc)
I think many will move to the 14-inch non-360 with the upgraded 3K display and 120Hz with hopefully better speakers. Otherwise it is the 16-inch 360 that is priced a bit too high for an ultrabook. Though the iGPU on this remains a bug bear for me, and anyone wanting a bit more GPU then maybe head for AMD ultrabooks as Intel is well behind the curve in 2023. Saying that, the MB Air for those not needing pen support remains the de facto choice for ultrabooks. They were down to £1070 for the base until recently and I cannot see a better choice in this category. Sadly, Windows seems to have a natural monopoly so a relutance by >80% of laptop users to switch away from Windows, so most may never know how good the MB Air is.
Totally agree, I nearly ordered the 14" but I couldn't stomach that price with intel iris gfx! We need more ryzen premium ultrabooks like the Lenovo Z13! And yes I agree the MacBook Air is an amazing machine, I have been loving my m2 version
Can you help me? I need a fast light weight 13 inch laptop. I would buy the xps 13 again but I hate the lack of ports and the new keyboard. Is this samsung as good as this one:WHITE-xps9310 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen & Touch IR Cam
Galaxy book 3 360 i5 16gb ram 512 rom or Macbook air m1 8gb ram 256gb rom? For programing. I've already had Macbook air m1 and it's great. Now I need to choose if buy it again or go into samsung. Have to consider that I can buy the Galaxy book 20% cheaper then Macbook air m1 in my country.
@XXPUREGLITCHESXX1 I actually took the Galaxy Tab S9. But I'm still thinking about buying GB3 360. Yesterday I tested my friend's GB3 Ultra and it's a absolute beast. The construction quality is pretty much the same on GB3 360, although hardware is waaaaay better on GB 3 Ultra. The ecosystem with Galaxy Tab and GB3 is amazing. If you're thinking about took a GB 3 360, you should wait for the GB4 and see what's worthy and probably have some discount. In my country GB4 will arrive too much expensive, for sure.
I am about to pull the trigger on a 2 in 1 to be mainly used to business, streaming and perhaps very light gaming, I use Samsubg everything in terms of Cell phone, and TV Watch etc etc is this still the right way to travel
Give me one reason why i should buy this instead of samsung galaxy book 2 pro 360. I would ve gone for this one tbh but they skipped ddr5 ram on non pro model.
Thanks for this review! Can you recommend a modest egpu? I'm having trouble finding a reasonable off the shelf model. I'm mainly finding enclosures that have to be built, or super egpus that are way more than I need. Thanks again!
I picked up a cheap legion EGPU. It can come with a 2060 or empty, I bought the 2060 model but currently have a 3060ti in it :) it was the cheapest gpu I could find and also has ports and HDD slot so really useful: www.lenovo.com/gb/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-7-series/lenovo-legion-gpu-dock/88gmy701467?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F
yes that is correct the power button/fingerprint sensor is above the backspace. An accidental press does not send the laptop to sleep/off. You need to hold the button down for a half second to action an off command. A lot of brands have been doing this for years and it works perfectly.
Hey bro would appreciate your insights on the below upgrades I'm looking at : 1) why does Alienware M18 not include the 240hz Qhd while M16 includes, any reason? Such a shame. 2) highest performance laptop rams (combination of highest speed and lowest latency I would assume). I found Kingston Fury impact of 5600mhz CL40. Your thoughts? 3) any idea of the latency of the Legion Pro 7i's ram latency? 4) would the Alienware M18 work with the Kingston fury impact 5600mhz CL40? Dilemma between that and the Kingston fury impact 4800mhz CL38. Your insights are appreciated.
Thanks to your video I have just ordered the 13'' with i5 and 8GB, but I was wondering if the performance will be similar to the Mac Air M1 with 8GB. I will need to open a lot of Chrome tabs + Power BI and Zoom Meetings, but I would like to edit some 4K videos on Premiere Pro eventually. Do you think this version will attend my needs? I'm thinking about replacing this model by the i7 + 16GB and 1TB SSD.
Hi Do you recommend buying Samsung book 3 pro Non touch ( I am looking for a 14 inch laptop ) or do you recommend any other laptop in this similar price range?
I have the 15.6" book 3-360, but didn't get the s-pen. Its base, not pro. I am also using the lightning port as a USB-C plugin for my mouse. Will that harm the port?
You cannot use an egpu with this laptop without severe throttling due to the port security settings. The security settings for the thunderbolt connection cannot be disabled in samsung's bios. I even called their tech support to confirm this. Do not expect to use an egpu with this laptop!
I am struggling to choose between galaxy book 2 360 intel i7 (850 dollars) on sale, or galaxy book 3 360 intel i5 (1200 dollars) which should i choose? Please answear fast
I had to return it because it’s having issues like black screen randomly pop up every time I put it on desk can’t seem to get it out the only solution is to power off and boot it again!! It’s so frustrating can’t help but return it back :(
This is on sale at best buy for $700 down from $1,000. The main point about this laptop vs others is weight. Its 2.5lbs. There is another version that isn't 2 in 1 and weighs 1.9lbs. There are many good laptops but this is the lightest I can find outside of a surface. I don't consider A Surface a true laptop due to them being more of a tablet and not having a true keyboard.
You can, but only very light video editing, probably 1080p one or two tracks I would say. I would never try and edit my multi stream 4K 10 but videos on it 😂
@@MashITTech I record with S22 Ultra now but will be recording with ZV E10 soon. I currently edit with Capcut and possibly Premier Pro in the near future. I record talking heads and making jewelry. Does the galaxy book 3 360 i7 13.3 inch come with s pen in the box? I have pre ordered one, please let me know, if it doesn't come then it's a deal breaker for me as i don't want to buy an s pen separately, i will cancel my order if that's so.
@@MashITTech will you be reviewing it anytime soon? Ive seen the 360 ultra? getting reviewed alot but im much more curious with how the 14 inch version performs
Any Galaxy Book without the "360" in the title is a standard laptop. There's a base model and pro model of this too, which i think has more or less the same specs as the 360 counterparts.
Sir When you will bring galaxy book 3 ultra review so much include benchmarks scores of blender (monster, junkshop, classroom), vray cuda and RTX, octane bench. Render test of blender "party tug" First render will take time so do it 2 times.
How does this laptop do with light gaming? I am thinking about buying this for mainly schoolwork but it would be nice to play something like minecraft every once in awhile
This is excellent for schoolwork especially when its CPU is very powerful and this is certainly fine for light gaming just dont except to do excellent gaming
Sadly the current US version doesn't include the S-Pen but is on sale for $700. I like the size but I can buy a better laptop for a couple hundred dollars cheaper.
The lightweight and slim design does not come a supprise to me, as they only installed 8GB RAM on the motherboard. The 64GB config would have been 1.7 to 2.5 Kg. The lightest 64GB laptops have been 1.2 to 1.4 Kg, but none of them had OLED. Upcoming few years the energy efficient AMD CPU's are out of stock, but Intel needs heavy battery. So it's out of question doing anything light OLED workhorse.

The spen and the tab settings are really tempting even though I don't have a strong need for them haha. So I'm hoping to remain focussed and prioritize performance over anything else.
@@michaelwestern11you ask qustn.like you havent no idea about coding btw.programming cause if u had there were no questions...hardcore programmer😂💊
I wish more manufacturers would make premium ryzen ultrabooks, only Lenovo seem to be on the ball at the moment with their z13
ASUS Vivobook S15 OLED M5506UA 15.6" 3K 120Hz OLED Laptop (AMD Ryzen 9-8945H, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD. or, Samsung Book3 360 Laptop, 13.3 Inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage, Intel Core I7. or, macbook m3, Which one should I choose?
Does it have a cellular edition?
How is it when connected to an external 4k monitor?
Does it have a fingerprint reader
Deciding between this machine and the Lenovo Yoga 6 with the newest AMD Ryzen 7. I think if this Samsung had an AMD CPU and GPU I would pick this without hesitation because I prefer the design and aesthetics. But when it comes to performance I really prefer what AMD has to offer especially with their iGPU. AMD Radeon is just way ahead of Intel right now.
Is the Samsung book 3 360 better than the Samsung tab S9 plus?
Good job, what about the price?
In today's date, is M1 still worth buying? Considering the price drop ..
@@vishal22singh Yes, M1 is great and will be enough for most users for years to come, and the discounts make it outstanding value.
Can you help me? I need a fast light weight 13 inch laptop. I would buy the xps 13 again but I hate the lack of ports and the new keyboard. Is this samsung as good as this one:WHITE-xps9310

Does it overheat and/or make fan noises?
Great review I came across a post the laptop comes with 7C+ जेन 3 चिपसेट 6nm 8 hour battery backup 30 min charging time any idea ?
I am about to pull the trigger on a 2 in 1 to be mainly used to business, streaming and perhaps very light gaming, I use Samsubg everything in terms of Cell phone, and TV Watch etc etc is this still the right way to travel
is i5 model suitable for students who needs high multitasking and a midrange performance for programming
Guys do yoy anything about the temperature of this computer? I wanna buy it, but im concern about this aspects.
Give me one reason why i should buy this instead of samsung galaxy book 2 pro 360.
I would ve gone for this one tbh but they skipped ddr5 ram on non pro model.
The bottom bezel is ridiculously big, kills the look.
Nice video but you skipped the stylus part, is it good for note taking. Is it a samsung s8 tab replacement like note taking?
I've tried the note taking. It can use most of the pens I used the s22 pen and the pen from my tab s6. I was like wow!!! It worked.
Hello, is it good laptop for multitask and heavy word excel use? Thanks
Hi! At 1080p resolution, are the pixels visible? Please reply. Thanks.
at a normal viewing distance you won't see pixels on a 13" screen at 1080p 👍
Do u have problem when recording high pitch , I cannot do it and Samsung just not trying help.
I've been in the market for tablet or light 2in1. I wouldn't mind seeing what they have to offer
This should be ok
Is power button above back space? Does it turn off the laptop if you accidentally press it when trying to press backspace?
yes that is correct the power button/fingerprint sensor is above the backspace. An accidental press does not send the laptop to sleep/off. You need to hold the button down for a half second to action an off command. A lot of brands have been doing this for years and it works perfectly.
Hey Quick question,
Does this Laptop have a Pre-installed screen protection?
Does this have front camera
Hey bro would appreciate your insights on the below upgrades I'm looking at :
1) why does Alienware M18 not include the 240hz Qhd while M16 includes, any reason? Such a shame.
2) highest performance laptop rams (combination of highest speed and lowest latency I would assume).
I found Kingston Fury impact of 5600mhz CL40.
Your thoughts?
3) any idea of the latency of the Legion Pro 7i's ram latency?
4) would the Alienware M18 work with the Kingston fury impact 5600mhz CL40?
Dilemma between that and the Kingston fury impact 4800mhz CL38.
Your insights are appreciated.
Good thing i got the 15.6
Thanks to your video I have just ordered the 13'' with i5 and 8GB, but I was wondering if the performance will be similar to the Mac Air M1 with 8GB.

I think it is worth it if you can get it on a good price or deal, I feel it is a bit expensive at its RRP
So how do we think it would handle light auto desk inventor work on the go , not doing big heavy stuff with it , but would it handle quick little jobs
what did you said you got 14 hours on the battery watching youtube?
what would you recommend between this and Tab s9 plus
Totally different use cases
I have the 15.6" book 3-360, but didn't get the s-pen. Its base, not pro.
I am also using the lightning port as a USB-C plugin for my mouse. Will that harm the port?
No it won’t harm the port at all, it’s designed to be used for a multitude of devices
In all honesty I would save the money and buy the 2, the 3 is mostly a cpu upgrade and the CPU is a little better but still has the same onboard gpu
Hey does the fact that the screen can fully rotate reduce the laptops durability?
I wouldn't have said so. The build quality is spot on and the hinge feels firm so I had no concerns about its durability
@@MashITTech thank you for the answer
@@basgambag3614the hinges are designed to whitstand atleast 10000 rotations
Is the 8GB RAM extendable or soldered?
unfortunately soldered :(
I had to return it because it’s having issues like black screen randomly pop up every time I put it on desk can’t seem to get it out the only solution is to power off and boot it again!! It’s so frustrating can’t help but return it back :(
where could i buy the pen?
How fast is data transfer from micro SD card
This is on sale at best buy for $700 down from $1,000. The main point about this laptop vs others is weight. Its 2.5lbs. There is another version that isn't 2 in 1 and weighs 1.9lbs. There are many good laptops but this is the lightest I can find outside of a surface. I don't consider A Surface a true laptop due to them being more of a tablet and not having a true keyboard.
So are you saying you cant do video editing on this laptop? 🤔
I usually add music and some effects so thats 3 tracks. My Samsung book has 1T, i7 1380 and 16GB Mem. After seeing this video I'm on fence about returning it for something else.
2:38 this was the Best
Yep editors fault!
Does the galaxy book 3 360 i7 13.3 inch come with s pen in the box? I have pre ordered one, please let me know, if it doesn't come then it's a deal breaker for me as i don't want to buy an s pen separately, i will cancel my order if that's so.
Mine did in the UK so I am sure yours will too unless for some reason only certain regions get it
Excellent review 🎉
I'd like something like this that wasnt a convertible. would be nice to have as an on the go productivity machine.
The galaxy book3 pro is similar at 14” and not convertible
@@MashITTech will you be reviewing it anytime soon? Ive seen the 360 ultra? getting reviewed alot but im much more curious with how the 14 inch version performs
Any Galaxy Book without the "360" in the title is a standard laptop. There's a base model and pro model of this too, which i think has more or less the same specs as the 360 counterparts.
Sir When you will bring galaxy book 3 ultra review so much include benchmarks scores of blender (monster, junkshop, classroom), vray cuda and RTX, octane bench.
Render test of blender "party tug"
First render will take time so do it 2 times.
Let me see if I can fit the ultra into our schedule
@@MashITTech ok sir
How does this laptop do with light gaming? I am thinking about buying this for mainly schoolwork but it would be nice to play something like minecraft every once in awhile
This is excellent for schoolwork especially when its CPU is very powerful and this is certainly fine for light gaming just dont except to do excellent gaming
is the keyboard backlit?
yes it is
Book 3 or Book 3 Pro 360?
Sadly the current US version doesn't include the S-Pen but is on sale for $700. I like the size but I can buy a better laptop for a couple hundred dollars cheaper.
How many Hz is the Display?
60hz sadly
Would you say it's worth it to watch the odd movie and to do art work on?
definitely, the OLED looks stunning for movies and photography, and it has plenty enough power for photoshop work
The lightweight and slim design does not come a supprise to me, as they only installed 8GB RAM on the motherboard.
Does it have a 120hz display?
no sorry only 60hz
Thank you please review the top specs book ultra too♡
+1

The almost 16" is way too big for a laptop. 14" is enough. Don't know about the 13.3". Is it too small? And 1080p is a bummer
I love 13.3 or 14" for a portable daily use laptop. Both perfectly usable. And I agree, 16" is only good for a desktop replacement.
