"We WANT them to come on vacation with us!" Aww Tom, that's music to parents' ears! We took my mother-in-law on so many roads trips and vacations with us when our kids were growing up! What great memories we've all made. Now our oldest is married and she and her hubby are expecting their first baby in June. If they asked us to come on a vacation with them... my husband and I would jump for joy and trip over ourselves to get packed and out the door!! Living vicariously thru you guys since we both have jobs that cause us to stay put. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures and we can't wait to see more! ❤
When my parents were in their 80’s I would go on vacation with them and do all the driving. It was such a special time to spend together and we would have so much fun. They are both gone now and I look back on those vacation times with such fond memories.

Zero judgment-none, zilch, nada-if Corbin didn’t like the outing! You provided a safe adventure and it’s ok if he wasn’t boiled over by it. As an adult, I’m trying to be ok with how I think and feel about things and find it so frustrating when people (in their own discomfort), try to talk me out of it, or worse, negate my experience. I’m trying to do the same with my kiddos, so kudos for the nudge to give it a try and kudos for letting him say he wasn’t won over (even if he was!)!

If they are for example crying because they are angry I will sit with them and explain how crying isn’t really the way how to show how they feel and give them alternatives that work for the situation. When they cry because they are sad or hurt, I offer hugs or alone time and let them go through it.
You are blessed to have your parents join you. Many years ago, my parents joined us on a Colorado trip. They spent a few days and then drove on to California. We cherish that time, they are both gone and we have precious memories.

This reminds me of many of our homeschool trips. Hiking volcanoes in Hawaii for earth science, visiting Mount Vernon and Philadelphia for US History, Fishing in the Chesapeake Bay for biology. Fabulous! I hope your kids are keeping a diary of sorts. Thank you for sharing that homeschooling is not just a series of worksheets in a prepackaged curriculum. Your kids will never forget this adventure. Experiential learning is the best kind of all types of learners.
I enjoyed watching your airboat tour. I grew up in South Louisiana, so airboats and gators were common everyday things. It’s nice to see others experiencing those things we often take for granted. It is a blessing to find renewed appreciation for the sights around us by seeing them through new eyes. Enjoy the time with your little ones. Ours are grown now and most of our best memories were made on vacation.
We lived in Florida for 10 years when my kids were younger like yours. We loved airboating and canoeing in the Everglades. Fortunately we lived very close to the Everglades. Thanks for reminding me of fun times

Being outside in nature is my favorite too! I made a quick weekend trip to Phoenix and told my sisters I would be outside all day! We love going up to the mountains here in Wyoming all winter too. Glad my husband is a bit of a mountain man so being outside is his favorite too.
We took my in-laws on vacation with us all the time. They are gone now, but me, my husband, and children have such fond memories of the good times we had. Then you for taking us on this vacation with y’all.

I was amazed at how smooth the ride was and the alligator 🐊 “eye” and “age” info was terrific. Very surprised at how clean and quiet the camp area was, and you were the only ones in the pool!! Then the absolute best part for me was when Cas explained the 10 second rule!! I have NUMEROUS containers (13) at least, around me now that I need to go through and it just felt so hopeful to know I don’t HAVE to LOOK at EVERY item, 😀which is why I never finish. 😥 Glad Corbin went on the ride and liked it in the end.
It is great to see you on vacation and weird at the same time since here still everything is closed. No camping, no pool or any other leisure opportunity, no restaurant. Vacation was something we used to do over a year ago. I was actually surprised that did not even had to wear a mask... I miss this freedom so much.

I had a horrible experience as a kid and am still afraid of small row boats. But would totally do the airboat. Love that the grandparents are so close at home and visiting on a great vacation. Airboat ride in the Everglades is one of my favorite memories of my trip to Florida with my family when I was in High School. I would definitely do it again if I’m ever out there!

I literally teared up when I saw Corbins little face at the beginning .. I felt SO bad for him , he looked SO unsure ... our daughter was that way growing up.. very unsure but usually enjoyed. .. just had to get over the initial fear/trepidation .. I am so glad he had a good time!!

I miss camping. My family along with my sisters family & our parents would take our RV’s out for great family fun. It was great. We sold our bigger camper when our son graduated h/s. What a great homeschool day! So much learning about the Everglades and alligators! We did an airboat ride as an afterthought a few years back after we got off a cruise in Miami. It ended up being our favorite part of our vacation! Hoping we can take our kiddos with us one day!!

15 years ago for our 35th wedding anniversary we took both our daughters, their husband's and our 5 oldest grandchildren which we between the ages of 3-12 to Disney World. We paid for flight from Wisconsin, a weeks condo for everyone, SeaWorld and several meals out for everyone. Great time had by all. I was curious after spending soooooo much money what the kids enjoyed the most. I asked on the flight home and their unanimous choice was playing in the condo's pool. Good thing we made time to do that several days. Lesson learned. We would do it again because they all look through the photos of the trip often and discuss how much fun they had. Love watching your family have fun.
We lived on a 25 foot Ranger Tug boat for a year and stayed in marinas each night. Laundry and showers are totally different at every marina. If it was a great one I did bedding and everything ! And I learned to live with very few clothes. Love your channel!

Airboat ride in the Everglades is one of my favorite memories of my trip to Florida with my family when I was in High School. I would definitely do it again if I’m ever out there!

Wow! I learned alot about alligators & I LIVE in the south! (I've never been on an airboat ride though) Loved this "A Day In Ur Vacation Life." U look relaxed, (very tan!!) & so happy for u guys & ur WELL DESERVED vacay! The camper design is exceptional!👍😁
I literally teared up when I saw Corbins little face at the beginning .. I felt SO bad for him , he looked SO unsure ... our daughter was that way growing up.. very unsure but usually enjoyed. .. just had to get over the initial fear/trepidation .. I am so glad he had a good time!!
I was thinking the same that Tom said when watching the boat go over all the grass and weeds about the motor getting broken and I kept having to remind myself you all were in an airboat. So fun!

You guys had a really nice location. I like that campground, but when you first showed the site, I thought "alligators!" 🐊😆

I’ve lived in Florida for over 40 years and I’ve never been on an air boat ride! But I would have to drive quite a ways to find someone with an air boat since I don’t live near the water. I guess it’s just never been on my bucket list. 😎
Awesome video!! I so look forward to the video, I even learned about alligators.... And I lived in Florida for 15 years.. lol, alligator length and how many eggs they lay and more info. Who knew!!! Lol

I was bracing myself too when you first went went over some grass in the boat! I feel like I got to go on vacation too by watching this video, which is greatly appreciated during the pandemic. Your Dad seems to be getting more comfortable with being on video, but I think your Mom shot you a look. LOL.
I miss camping. My family along with my sisters family & our parents would take our RV’s out for great family fun. It was great. We sold our bigger camper when our son graduated h/s. Looking forward to buying a smaller camper. Loved seeing your boat ride. It felt like we were there with you. Have fun & be safe!

What a great homeschool day! So much learning about the Everglades and alligators! We did an airboat ride as an afterthought a few years back after we got off a cruise in Miami. It ended up being our favorite part of our vacation! Hoping we can take our kiddos with us one day!!

15 years ago for our 35th wedding anniversary we took both our daughters, their husband's and our 5 oldest grandchildren which we between the ages of 3-12 to Disney World. We paid for flight from Wisconsin, a weeks condo for everyone, SeaWorld and several meals out for everyone. Great time had by all. I was curious after spending soooooo much money what the kids enjoyed the most. I asked on the flight home and their unanimous choice was playing in the condo's pool. Good thing we made time to do that several days. Lesson learned. We would do it again because they all look through the photos of the trip often and discuss how much fun they had. Love watching your family have fun.

Sweet Maggie reminds me of my daughter. She would be the one with ear protection and her ears covered because of the noise. Your family is so sweet.
When I heard Cas recommend Dana on her channel, it changed my world.
We lived on a 25 foot Ranger Tug boat for a year and stayed in marinas each night. Laundry and showers are totally different at every marina. If it was a great one I did bedding and everything ! And I learned to live with very few clothes. Love your channel!

So glad you did this video for us ( me). I felt like I went on a little holiday...what a great escape from the dark, snowy, lockdown day here in Canada.
It looks like you all had a great time camping! Yay for Corbin’s bravery and his scooter is cool! We have those scooters and they really are fun! You get some good exercise with them as well.
I love the synchronized bunk gymnastics! I'm glad the boat ride was fun for all, enjoy the warm weather, you missed the really cold snap here in MN

We had a caravan when I grew up and summer holidays by the sea was just great. Some of my best holiday memories.
