Hey Carlo, been following you for awhile now, keep up the great work! Could you recommend a beginner set of speakers for DJing a small wedding (150 people or less). Or could you make a video comparing some different speaker options? I might be DJing my first wedding this summer so I am starting to research now but there are a lot of options out there. Hmmmm, normally, wedding DJs here (in The Philippines) don't bring their own speakers and just coordinate with the sound system providers. But you can check my Amazon page in the descriptions of the other videos to see what kind of speakers I use for my home set up. I'm just not sure how many you'll need for a wedding though.
Love the Channel bro. Virtual Dj has been using stems on the fly for maybe about a year or so now. It works good but not as complex as RIP X. Keep up the great content
@@djcarlo Yes. And you can use the stems while mixing live if you have a 4 channel mixer. Its fun because you can literally rip vocals from a song mid mix and put it alongside any other beat while removing the vocal or whatever from the other beat. Its pretty intuitive and fast too

i use rip x for when i do mashup.Depending on the tracks i will stem using rip x.Its not perfect but i thats the fun finding out what will work and what wont .I might use it for getting stemmed samples as i have a new toy which is the Akai MPC Onet hough i still have some learning to do on that.
DJ Carlo I don't have any DJ software, I will look into getting RipX when i can. i would like to be able to make professional acapellas and instrumentals. I currently have rx7 Standard which is not a professional quality.
If you add layers are you able to separate the stems further like having the hi hats on their own track? what if you seperate to stems and then take the overall drum stem, can you seperate it further? If not this seems like it is only good for vocal extraction or removal or maybe singular instruments like guitar, bass ect

Yup! Once you've got all the stems, you can play around with all of them individually as you please. I've yet to try them with Serato Studio or Ableton, but from what I know, they should work properly if you want to make instrumental intros, remixes, etc.

Serato is behind again! I really wish they would introduce stem extraction. 😕 I don't have a Traktor controller and Serato really is the best dj software I have tried. NeuralMix is only for macs and I have windows... so I guess it's lalalai still for me...

Yes i gotta also say that of all the ones i have heard this software is the cleanest with less artifacts left over. Some songs do separate better than others but i think if you were to compare like for like with all the other software 9 out of 10 this would be the best, from what i have heard at least :)

It's surely the best out there and really decent... but to call it "Studio quality" makes me question all your knowledge... don't mislead people pls... this software has the separation with the least amount of bleeding... but it does BLEED still .... it's a fact!!
Fair feedback Doc! I found it to be very close to studio quality, if not on par for some of the tracks I ran through RipX, so my bad maybe. But the bleeding is so minimal that I'm still impressed.
Hey Carlos I love your video’s. I tried Rip-x but with Rip-x the vocal dip in and out making them sound funky. Is that because its the free try out ? Now Im using Rekordbox but I still have all my Traktor equipment, will the vocal’s sound better with Traktor stems or will I still hear the sound dip in and out from the vocals ? Thanks Carlos.
You can modify that dip or remove it using the software! The quality of the rip shouldn't change whether you use it for rekordbox dj or Traktor! Try modifying your stem to fix it! I usually delete the parts I don't want to hear 😅

Well, it's still better quality than any of the rippers I've used in the past. I honestly thought they fit well to help keep with the timing of the music. The other one's I've tried ripping didn't have any snaps or whatnot in them; just check the rest of the video!

Sabemos que traktor es pionero y lo saco primero hoy en día virtual dj lo íntegro directo la creatividad vuela pero les falta en definición del audio pero creo que ellos lo mejorarán con sus actualizaciones. Most (beginner) creatives wanna spend time creating rather than weighing $$ and computer specs. Apple just works out the box for most of the creatives I know. Of course as you ascend your skills, you may need more powerful equipment. I know music producers who create on Mac and master w ProTools in Windows. I know filmmakers who edit in Premier Pro on Mac and Color Correct in DaVinci on Windows. No real rules, just do what suits you and your workflow! Sometimes it’s about creating less friction. When most of my collaborators are using Mac, it simplifies the process to run Mac. (although I do collab w plenty of windows users in the music, graphic design, and film arenas.

All the rips are extremely consistent and if you have any stuff you don't like, you can always modify the Rip.to.sound better!

When i try to open the program, my shield of rasomware of avast advise me, so i wont opened
That's strange! Never had that problem with mine. Try redownloading it from the website and entering your activation code.

RipX does take time to extract songs depending on your computer. It's worth the wait though as Rip X gives the cleanest extractions!

Well, it's still better quality than any of the rippers I've used in the past. I honestly thought they fit well to help keep with the timing of the music. The other one's I've tried ripping didn't have any snaps or whatnot in them; just check the rest of the video!

Hola según veo hay que preparar antes en otro software lo ideal sería que ingrese el track directo a traktor ahí lo puede desarmar para hacer sesiones en vivo.
Sabemos que traktor es pionero y lo saco primero hoy en día virtual dj lo íntegro directo la creatividad vuela pero les falta en definición del audio pero creo que ellos lo mejorarán con sus actualizaciones.
En lo personal uso Traktor me encanta es muy profesional su audio y demás configuraciones.
Traktor is amazing in its own right! I actually started out with them when I learned how to DJ.

I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of Celemony Melodyne, but I think they've both got their own separate functions! Similar in some aspects, but different in their specialized ways.

Hi, any chance of getting the song loaded for analyze and saved instantly as .stem.mp4 file? Would like to put there 5 songs weekly and keep it in these quality stems. Way better than anything else on market now.
Yes watch my RipX Tutorial..this is the best it gets! Unless you mean in Traktor, in which case, we can all just hope for the best in future updates haha
@@djcarlo I watched the tut before asking the question, already trying in trial version, but unable to find any way to load songs into que and let the program automatically esave as .stem file. As I would really like to stem-deconstruct my 250+ songs recent collection that I play most. Guess gotta go one by one damn :D

Is it the law that you're only allowed to use apple products in music or photo editing? You get better hardware and software for your money with Windows...
I find that MacOS is more stable for DJing. I've had my share of blue screens in the past. As for photos, I can't answer that.
Most (beginner) creatives wanna spend time creating rather than weighing $$ and computer specs. Apple just works out the box for most of the creatives I know. Of course as you ascend your skills, you may need more powerful equipment. I know music producers who create on Mac and master w ProTools in Windows. I know filmmakers who edit in Premier Pro on Mac and Color Correct in DaVinci on Windows. No real rules, just do what suits you and your workflow! Sometimes it’s about creating less friction. When most of my collaborators are using Mac, it simplifies the process to run Mac. (although I do collab w plenty of windows users in the music, graphic design, and film arenas.
