I just bought Peonyand Peppercorn on blind faith and looked to you tube for a review after. I agree that it is a very nice one. I will have to go back to Burlington for the Gardenia and cardamom and avoid the Dark Cherry one.
Definitely agree with you on Dark Cherry & Amber. There's this screechy, metallic undertone that stays with me the entire wear. I ordered it after picking up Gardenia & Cardamom for $20 at Ross and being impressed. This is the one I thought I'd like the most, but it sounds like I should have went with my 2nd or 3rd choice. Can't wait to try more from this line.

I have Tobacco & Tonka Bean, I think the purple color comes from the plum top note. It's a very juicy opening in my opinion, evokes the scent of a purple colored juice in my opinion. One of my favorite recent pickups.
The Tobacco and Tonka Bean sounds the best to me, the reason is I love tobacco notes in my fragrances. It really gives a great masculine note especially when paired with tonka or vanilla. My favorite that is like this is Serge Lutens Cherugi. I would love to get a bottle.. Im from California.

Banana Republic has me interested, I picked up Oud Mosaic because of your recommendation and I enjoy it. I will go and try the Tobacco & Tonka Bean and Peony & Peppercorn, since it is already in the 70's here in New Orleans, La it would make a good addition at a reasonable price. Actually found Tobacco and Tonka Bean at our local Burlington Coat Factory for $19.99. What a deal and what a great fragrance! Gave it to my wife and she absolutely loves it. Vintage Green is my personal favorite so far and I have been using it for a couple years now. Great review!

Hi I am from Washington state. I used to wear Banana republic W edp. It was a light clean scent. I love cardamom so, gardenia and cardamom really interests me.
Thanks both for the review and offering the giveaway. I live in FL now - but am from CT. When we lived in CT we had HUGE pink peony bushes that I absolutely loved. The little shoots were the sign of Spring coming - and when they bloomed - the smell was intoxicating! I would cut a few and they would smell throughout the house. Obviously - the Peony & Peppercorn interests me the most!

I really enjoy your fragrance videos especially the instructional ones like 'What is an Accord?" or "What is Ambroxan?" I have learned so much. The Pink Pepper and Peony would be my first choice. Pink pepper is one of my favorite fragrance notes and Peony is so fresh. Perfect for spring/summer! I'm from Pennsylvania.
Hi Sebastian! I’m very late to reply to your video, but I just came across Tobacco and Tonka frag online, and I always check to see if you have a review. I love your videos and value your experience and taste. So, I will be ordering it soon (next paycheck!). I agree re. Dark Cherry and Amber. I was a disappointed that it did not have the cherry note that I love so much. However, I kept it anyway. I do enjoy it for the fragrance it is... I like to layer with a good-quality vanilla and a cherry that I own. Thank you for the wonderful content!

Just picked up the tobacco and Tonka Bean for $20 at Burlington for the 2.5oz and I love it. Does not smell like a $20 fragrance it's definitely a cold weather night time fragrance.
I bought all of the last collection over the holidays because they were on sale at ridiculous prices at the BR outlet. By far my favorites were Oud Mosaic and Vintage Green. From this collection I think I'd like to try Peony & Peppercorn because spring is right around the corner and it sounds bright and fresh. Virginia is for lovers!
Tobacco and Tonka Bean sounds really interesting. It combines some of my favorite notes (Pear, tobacco, and Tonka). I’m trying to imagine that transition from the sweeter fruity notes to the tobacco and it’s very exciting. Maryland.

Vintage Green and Tobacco and Tonka Bean are popping up at Burlington Coat factory for $20.00 steady since the re open from quarantine and Gardenia and Cardemom for $24.00 at Ross. I like the Vintage Green the most the Tobacco one is cool but very strong and gets louder through the day.

I would like the Peony and Peppercorn one because I love the smell of peonies but they only last a short time in the yard. With this fragrance I could smell peonies whenever I wanted to. The peppercorn would add a fun kick to make it more interesting. I also haven't smelled fragrances with pepper in them yet. I've never smelled Banana Republic fragrances before. I'm in Wisconsin. Need pepper, lots of pepper to warm me up.
And I just watched your other video of your top 5. From that list I think Oud Mosaic sounds the best. The plum note sounds good and of course saffron (my favorite). The Green 17 also sounds interesting. I'm not too into green but with the tea and pepper and the fig, it's something I'd like to try.

Dark cherry and amber sounds the most interesting out of these for me despite the fact that you said there is only a very light cherry note present. I feel like I would have a hard time pulling off a very heavy cherry note so a light hint of cherry might actually be nice. NY, USA
Sebastian, great review on the New Banana Republic Icon fragrances. I haven't tried any of these yet, but I have seen other reviews on some of these fragrances. My favorite one that you talked about would have to be Tobacco and Tonka Bean. I love the notes of Tobacco and Tonka Bean in fragrances. Besides that I also love the idea of the fruity opening with plum, pear, and coconut. I also love the vanilla and tonka bean combo in fragrances because they work so well together. I love warm fragrances with some depth to them which I feel Tobacco and Tonka Bean has. I am from Ohio, USA. Thank you for the giveaway and the amazing content.

I wasn’t aware that Banana Republic made fragrances. 🤔 With the price point and overall review I think the Gardenia & Cardamon fragrance seems interesting. I don’t have many floral fragrances and this would be a great start. Why that specific fragrance? I love mandarin and gardenias! Plus the driftwood and amber sounds a interesting but great combination. Plus the bottle is so cool! Tobacco and Tonka was my most worn frag this winter, I love it I bought the dark cherry and Amber and I absolutely love the smell however it did not last long on my skin or clothing I'm hoping it will work better this spring the vintage 78 has an amazing natural citrus opening that I adore. I'm a fan of this house and I would really like to win the bottle of Peony and peppercorn for my wife Peony is her favorite flower she has them tattooed on her foot. Greeting from Dayton Ohio.

Great review! I have only tried the Mosaic Oud from Banana Republic and I loved it. I would probably pick the Tobacco & Tonka Bean. I love the sweetness smell of the note of tonka bean. The tobacco note is also very masculine to my nose. The mixture of these notes would definitely please my nose palette. Keep up the great reviews! Stay blessed!

Without a doubt, Tobacco & Tonka Bean would be my favorite, although I have not tried any of these yet. I love coconut as a note and have been searching for more fragrances with it. I've also been wearing a lot of tobacco scents this winter, so put coconut and tobacco together and it sounds amazing, although I admit that is a strange combo. I'm from Illinois, please enter me in the contest.
Banana Republic has been a recent rediscovery for me. I have a bottle of Classic that I have had for years, which is okay and Black Walnut, which is better. This last run of theirs with Neroli Woods, Oud Mosaic and Vintage Green have been great. I love the VG, but something about my body chemistry makes it only last an hour. Disappointing since it is such a great smell. Tobacco is one of my favorite scents, so I would lean that way for sure. I do have good memories with florals. Amongst many other things, my great grandfather was a florist from Denmark and flowers always remind me of him, so Gardenia & Cardamom also sounds intriguing. Very generous of you Sebastian. Really enjoy the reviews.

I love Tobacco and Tonka it doesn't smell masculine on me, a female, tonka bean is a fave note of mine. I to try the Gardenia and Cardamom, I love fragrance with Gardeniaa would love to try this scent. I live iin PA.

I like the dark cherry and amber, but to me it smells like what a BR540 lotion or body cream would smell like if it were a perfume
I dont get Mfk 540, I get a dark cherry candy scent.
I own the mfk 540 body oil I just do pick up any similarities.
My favorite one from your review has to be the tobacco & Tonka Bean because I like fragrances that are dark, woody, ambery, vanillic, resinous scents but I like amber so Dark Cherry & Amber also sounds interesting. I am from AZ, USA. Great vid!
You know it funny, I read the description before I watched the video and as I was reading I said “I think I’d like to try this dark cherry”. But than I read the description for Tobacco & Tonka Bean and started to drool 🤤 ...... The Anjou pear and plum up top sound delicious with the full bodied-ness of the tobacco and the amazing warmth and sweetness of the Tonka and Vanilla. I'd definitely be interested in the Tobacco and Tonka Bean. I like the idea of the sweetness of tonka giving a darker, richer feel to pair with the tobacco. Usually you get vanilla or honey with tobacco to sweeten it up, so this sounds interesting. Kansas.
From collection I have:
78, 83, 06, 17 and tobacco and tonka bean, from those I love the most tobacco and tonka bean, it simply works for me, this is kind of a fragrance that i like to wear in cold weather.
I'm trying to convince myslef to wear more of a 17 oud mosaic, but somewhat I'm not sure about it, it smells kind of funky sometimes for me.
Despite that, I'm looking to get all from the line, I'm able to buy them where I live for quite cheap ~ around 25$ for a bottle

I love this line and I have tobacco and tonka beans since am so addictive to tobacco! I love it so far and no regret what so ever.
Hence tobacco and tonka bean was my favorite and it's so interesting and am wondering how the rest would be and I was intrested in cherry one but after your review I guess I would skip it 🤗 however if I win I would love to try gardinia and cardamom.

Tough choice between the Tobacco & Tonka Bean and the Peony & Peppercorn, based on your review. I'd love to try either in your giveaway. The latter is appealing because the idea of floral notes combined with musk and cashmere wood sounds really intriguing. I love vintage green but it doesn't last at all. Any similar fragrances you can recommend? I've tried multiple ones mentioned in fragrantica but no luck yet. Vintage green is quite unique!

Louis Vuitton has Cactus Garden but it's pricey certainly. Will have to think of other Cactus Flower! :)

Just today received 78 Vintage Green and 90 Pure White *because* I watched your other video. I haven't even taken the cellophane off yet as I'm dealing with a sick pup. :*( Of these, I'm most interested in the Peony & Peppercorn as I adore peony, rose and musk as notes in general. "Hey" from an ex-Marin County resident, now living on the Coast of Maine.

Gardenia and cardamom would probably be my favorite. Cardamom is one of my favorite spices and gardenias are one of my favorite floral notes! I’m in FL, USA
I'm in Ohio. Tough choice. I think I normally would go for the cherry amber but based on your review and trusting your nose I am thinking nah. I love cardamon, gardenia, plum and peony. I think I would flip a coin and go with the one that has TWO notes I like. Gardenia Cardamon.
I really like the Icon line, Linen Vetiver and Vintage Green are my favorites, the Tobacco and Tonka Bean is the one I'd most like to try in the new line, as tobacco is one of my favorite notes. Hello from Indiana
The one that interested me the most was the Gardenia and Cardamom, mostly because i've smelled gardenia from my backyard and it has quite a buttery smell to my nose (which was pretty cool) so I wonder if it will have that facet in the fragrance! Nice impressions on the collection, I've been hearing more and more about Banana Republic. If I win the giveaway I'm in California!

From Ga. I have 4 of the earlier icons after watching your previous review . 78 (favorite), neroli wd, cyp cedar.and 17 oud mos. All 4 are great and I gifted a 78 VG to my oldest for Christmas. I have been eying these and waiting for lower prices at discounter. I would like to add tobacco ton to my collection because its what I wanted next and I trust your taste.
