I am in LOVE. there is something so bittersweet with this song. It talks about an ugly tornado ravaging her basement, the city. then there’s the heatwave where it’s “too hot to think straight” but “too cold to panic”; so they head down to the bar to drink and dance and forget, just for a little while. not sure if it’s intentional but I sense a reflection on the current climate crisis and how it just might be too big to comprehend. these disasters keep coming at us, destroying homes and the land and our health, but they haven’t destroyed US and “I’ll be damned if I can’t dance with you!” on one hand a gorgeous taking back of her Country, and on the other (or at the same time) a piece on the indomitable spirit of human love in the face of calamity. I am soooo excited for more.
To me it was more interpersonal . she’s says this ain’t Hold em so lay our cards down. She’s telling the person in the song to lay it out on the table and be genuine. And the line dance part shows how they keep going in different directions and she can’t read his mind. She talks about the natural disasters like problems they ride through.
This heffa getting ready to takeover every genre of music. I hope she does this album like she did Black Is King and get the artist already doing it some more shine. There’s a lot of black people making great country music

LONG LIVE THE GOAT Beyoncé! Beyoncé AINT LIKE all these artists out here who just be going viral by using that plug they see on my channel in my short video, seeem like anyone can go viral these days if they watch that short on my channel
Please be fair. The banjo did come from Africa. Ghana. And obviously there was a white ancestor . Some black people do have blonde hair Use Your Googles. Now I am not a fan of this song. However I do like Mickey Guyton.
She’s the queen of music. Her talent doesn’t have boundaries when it comes to genres of music. Daddy’s Lessons with the Chicks is one of my favorite songs.
I’m so excited for this album. I LOVE country music. Country is commonly overlooked by a lot of people, even though real country music (not the pop stuff) is firmly rooted in soul and blues, which most people love. It’s dope that so many more people might learn to love country music, and hopefully a good number of OG country fans who usually dismiss Queen Bey might decide to check for her, too!
I don’t think there’s anything that this woman cannot sing, she has just kicked the bar completely out of the playing field. She’s in a league all by herself, and she knows it. All I can say, is that high to you, Beyoncé, for going there, because country music has its roots with Black people, and it always has, and nothing can ever change. The fact, I love the fact of the matter that there is absolutely nothing that, you haven’t been able to sing that you have tried that. So this is just something all together special and just very likable.
it doesnt, its has roots from blue and blues progression, blues is not country music, white artist used the blues to create country music. black people have made little to no contribution outside that and banjo to country music and even then black people havent really been playing banjo in over 100 years.
It is complete trash it’s not good country music. If you can even call it that and Europeans have just as much claim to country as anyone learn real history.
It’s actually sensible. Shows social awareness. Seeing as music videos in this day and age are vastly waste of money you never actually get ROI on. So IMO it’s actually a respectable thing to do than just blow out cash.

I am a country girl from the Sip and also a Beyoncé fan. I ride horses and my family has always owned horses, cows, goats, pigs and etc. My grandfather and dad always wore cowboy hats.I was picked on by classmates because we were “country”. I am loving this for a number of reasons! I love country music but I wondered how black ppl became so excluded from the genre when some of the earliest known cowboys were black and a lot of black musicians were the pillar of what country music is today. Keep doing what you do Bey!
Facts most popular culture was created by Black folks and then rebranded and others get credit. We are the creators of so many genres including country, rocknroll, and the list goes on and on
I told my sister to “hold please” while I pulled up a photo, and she replied “this ain’t Texas” “but I’ll hold” and I felt that someone would enjoy this😂
Beyoncé said this was the perfect country and western song. I wrote her back and said it was not the perfect and country western song because she didn’t say anything about mama or trains or trucks or prison or getting drunk…
I really hope this new musical project of hers centers the black/west African roots of country and bluegrass music, the black history of the banjo 🪕 and how it was a new world invention of the ancient west African instrument called the Kora (which the enslaved west Africans in the south created by hand and memory). I hope she explores all of that and more if this is indeed gonna be a country album. Country music started with black roots and there’s alot of esoteric wisdom, brilliance, ingenuity to be uncovered if she delves into the richness of its history. 🖤🩶

I am in LOVE. there is something so bittersweet with this song. It talks about an ugly tornado ravaging her basement, the city. then there’s the heatwave where it’s “too hot to think straight” but “too cold to panic”; so they head down to the bar to drink and dance and forget, just for a little while.
not sure if it’s intentional but I sense a reflection on the current climate crisis and how it just might be too big to comprehend. these disasters keep coming at us, destroying homes and the land and our health, but they haven’t destroyed US and “I’ll be damned if I can’t dance with you!”
on one hand a gorgeous taking back of her Country, and on the other (or at the same time) a piece on the indomitable spirit of human love in the face of calamity. I am soooo excited for more.
It’s finally completed: th-cam.com/video/L7bp9FAY-ZE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h6avVqp2ouxhsRck

Beyonce's next move she hits number one with a Norwegian death metal song
Which she'll claim black people invented, like they're doing with country music.

Shout out to the late great Charley Pride.
This sucks 😂
@@311kellymarieyoure just a hater.
it doesnt, its has roots from blue and blues progression, blues is not country music, white artist used the blues to create country music. black people have made little to no contribution outside that and banjo to country music and even then black people havent really been playing banjo in over 100 years.
It is complete trash it’s not good country music. If you can even call it that and Europeans have just as much claim to country as anyone learn real history.
