Snails as you say are so very underused. Yet the obvious key to the angler is when you catch a fish and the belly feels like it is full of gravel it is time to move to a snail pattern. Well done.
A major food item for trout on southern Vancouver Island since we don't have scuds. The trout were gorging on them, but on the bottom in 30 plus feet. Summer food. Nothing bigger than 3/16"
