The MV was filmed on Oshima Island, largest island in the small chain just south of Tokyo Wan entrance. The Island has an active volcano, last major eruption was in 1986, which actually shook our house windows in Miura, where I lived at the time. Black sand on these islands is formed from the lava flow into the ocean. Oshima is a really cool place to visit.
Official live: THE final song of a 3 1/2 hour set of the final show from their 10 Year Anniversary Tour. When Saiki's voice cracks in the end....I frickin' lose it! I felt her heart. What a beautiful performance! I'm not crying! You're crying!🤷♂️
The last verse was added to this performance, as Saiki said she wanted to sing with the crowd more. This Yokohama version had me bawling at almost 7am when they streamed it. The fancam with the Miku towel on the bass drum was for her birthday. The one with Akane fighting off the tears was 2022 tour finale in Chicago, their 1st tour after the pandemic. It was also the first okyu-ji that I watched in my first few days of knowing who Band Maid was. I was mad at myself for missing this concert since I live near Chicago, and I was a month too late to the party. If I had only knew about them sooner, I could have been in that crowd. I did see them live though the following year in Minneapolis.
I was at the show with the Miku towels on the bass drum. It was Miku's birthday. House of Blues Dallas Oct 21 '22. They also played one of my all time Favorites, "glory". Incredible show, start to finish.
@@nicholasmoses3663 How about when they played "Rock in Me"? I kinda teared up. Her song, her Birthday and the crowd rocking out to Miku. Soooo cool!!!!
I attended this concert Greatest i ever seen in my life ! these ladies brjng it hard with every performance ! alot of tear's in this audience nobody wanted it to end !!! 😊
It's not like you could go wrong with "Onset" as an instrumental to show your bass player friend, but I'd probably choose "Without Holding Back" instead. Actually, I'd show him both.
The Yokohama Arena show was over 3 hours 40 minutes long, 33 songs, and Endless Story was the finale. A truly epic performance. I can assure you that the Maidiacs didn't cry several times during the concert. It's available on Blu-ray (unfortunately some if the mc is edited out, but it's well worth buying). Members of Lovebites were in attendance as well.
What was that sobriquet again - Saiki Atsumi, the Ice Queen?. Yes, in "olden" days she used to be somewhat reserved, but this fabulous performance of their anthem shows that Saiki has a heart brimful of soul and warmth. This magistral vocalist has come into her own.
The Maids did 14 shows in Oct. of 2022. Starting at Aftershock Music Festival, then Seattle and ending Nov. 1st in Chicago. The compilation video was from this tour, and I saw them in Seattle. 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Yes I was at the Seattle show also , that tour took a toll on them I think , that's probably why when they returned in 2023 they broke it up to two different months May and August with less shows per tour .
Last Saturday, I was slammed by a nasty case of covid that hit hard and fast. it was @3:30am and I was pulled over on the side of the road as my several attempts to drive home ended with me losing consciousness at a couple of stop signs. Honestly, the conditions were about as miserable as it gets. Yet, while burning up in my reclined car seat, I had tears of absolute joy streaming down my widely smiling cheeks. Of course I did, because that's what happens every time I watch BAND-MAID'S Endless Story, Live. Simply, the most emotionally charged and heart felt performance that this 56 year old has ever experienced. So much so, that even the dreaded covid was powerless against it. Life is so much BETTER with BAND-MAID!! 🤘😝🤘
The band has nothing to worry about with the fans. Miku has literally walked off stage into the crowd in New York. Everyone got out of the way, no one tried anything. Which reminds me, another time they were in Central Park before a show and saw a guy with a Band-Maid shirt so they walked up to him. Luckiest guy in history.
Miku did that at the Spokane show in 2023 , the venue still had seats in it like a movie theater Miku came off the stage on the right side and ran up n down the isle saying Moi Moi kyun kyun , nobody reach out or stepped in the isle while Miku was out there .
9:32 The original live broadcast of endless Story has different camera angles and you can see the band members get emotional at the end (except MISA, she held it together). It would be an odysee to find it, but it's out there!
No problem, most of us can't get enough Band-Maid. A lot of us have seen the videos plenty of times as well so we know what is going on behind the overlay. Don't forget to check out the documentaries!
My understanding is that Akane’s grandmother passed away while they were filming the OMV for Endless Story and thus it’s always an emotional song for her to play. At the 10th Anniversary Okyuji at Yokohama Arena it was the show closer and thus emotional for all the members - imho, you can see Miku, Akane and Kanami all fighting to hold back the tears and Saiki flat out crying at the end. The end of that 3.5 masterpiece was emotional for the band, all the fans at the show and all us Masters & Princesses watching the livestream from home. They finally played the show they’d deserved for so long and one they made the absolute best it could be.
You really want to cry, check out the Endless Story Heart of Akane Hirose from Chicago 2022. Its a close up of Akane crying her eyes out while playing this song. Last show of the first US tour since the pandemic.
There's no emotion in the music video. Whereas the live version is nothing BUT emotion. Saiki"s voice is just so beautiful and heartfelt, and 200% better than the MV. And then adding those extra lyrics at the end, showing their appreciation and love to the fans that got them where they are today.... I'm not crying... YOU'RE CRYING!!!😭😭😭
It might surprise you a little, but these girls to check some of these reactions. A perfect example is when they recognised "Mr. Rock n Roll at their concert in (I think) Dallas (I might be wrong) in 2023. It is really worth a look ... it's on his channel an the big fella near melted in his tracks when they spoke to him. Funny as. Luv ur work.
@@ShadeReactsLive It wouldn't surprise me - you've attracted a lot of us Madiac's. But it's really worth a look at his clip. Looking forward to your "Onset" reaction.
I was at that show. It was in 2022 on Miku's birthday. It was a cool moment. They asked if there were any youtube reactors in the audience and as soon as he let loose with his yell, they knew exactly who he was, lol.
Another fun reaction vid! I can’t wait for you to see them live in person…maybe this Spring in Japan. Your wife will love the vacation because Japan is a wonderful place to visit. And by the way, Saiki is even more mesmerizing live on stage than in these videos. See you in Tokyo this May 🤞.
Whenever you want to find a fan cam of a BM song, then check out Vladimir Chupin's channel. He has a ton of stuff which he shot at all the shows he went to (I swear he goes to them all) and are generally really good quality.
Another great series of MVs to react to. Yeah, I wish they would mic the crowd like they used to in many of their earlier Official Live MVs. I've noticed they cut it back a lot in the recent Live MVs. I was at Yokohama Arena and the crowd was very loud. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Fan cam video, I just saw my bald head at 24:08 😂😂. Some info about their past concerts here in the US. Dallas HoB in 2022 or '23 can't remember exactly, the fans pitched in to buy Miku a birthday cake. Superfan Michael Barber arranged for a cake to be made of an exact duplicate of her guitar, The Flappy Pigeon. A very expensive cake btw. At another birthday show, he made a bunch of hand towels with Miku's face and the word SAY! on it.(Fan inside joke). Also towels and cakes for MISA's birthday through their US tours in the past. The Band-Maid community is pretty strong and extremely dedicated, to say the least.
The real tears started the song just prior, "Forward." It's about striving despite life's challenges. They showed very early videos of them on the big screen playing in front of only a few in the audience. Miku could barely hold it together.
This live performance by Band Maid actually makes me tear up every time I see it. The 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama version is by far my favorite. Not even close.
"Shambles" is also a good introduction to MISA if you want to do a song you have not done yet. Otherwise, is "Endless story" actually very good when it comes to show a bass player MISA's unique style. "On Set" has very simple bass lines.
What a great way to star my day. Absolutely beauty song. No more words! Great react again, Kitsune. Manners/Black hole!! Manners/Black hole!!! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
There is some famous footage of Akane crying while playing this song from Chicago. I was lucky enough to have been at that show and it's an experience I'll never forget.
They ended the show in Atlanta in 2022 with this song. Very emotional but so much fun. You will probably get this way when you get to Memorable and About Us, especially Saiki's speech before they played. I don't think any band loves and appreciates their fans more than the Maids
Another great reaction Shade. The Yokohama version, if you noticed, had an extra part in it. After Saiki thanks the fans and asks them to sing one more time. Those next lines were added especially for that one performance and really drives home how much Band-Maid love their fans. The Honkai opening will melt your friends face off, cant wait to see that.
Most Japanese Bands when they go over seas perform at small venues even Babymetal that normally play full arena's in Japan almost alway play small venues in the North America and Europe. My favorite band which is a Japanese Pop Rock/ Pop Punk band SCANDAL which have been around for nearly 19 years now play small venues in NA/Europe though to be far, while they can still fill arenas tend to play much smaller venues now even in Japan, but both times I saw them in New York they were in smaller 1,000 people max venues. If you want another really emotional band-maid song, look for their tune Daydreaming.
I agree about the crowd audio. They need to isolate the crowd noise so it's clean and then bring it back into the mix for parts like the post-chorus woah-oh-ohhs so that it is the truly full and complete magical experience.
Great milestone for the ladies! Bucket list item to play this song at Yokohama arena! Us Maidiacs don’t care how long the reaction is…it’s Band-Maid! Cheers 🥃 Reminder tomorrow 1/12 at 10:00am official release of a new song & MV from Band-Maid “Zen”. I was happy I was alone and streaming the concert at Yokohama. But even on DVD. This band just knows how to pull at the emotions. Saiki was always a good leading lady. But now she is among the very best I have heard and watched. So yes alone watching the stream I sniffed a few times. Life is beautiful with this band.

I was at that Boston show, the place you pointed out first in the fan cam compilation when you mentioned it was insane how close we were. I was up on the ground floor on MISAs side, It was a cool venue because it was such a small footprint, but had a second floor railing.

Shade, one thing no-one can accuse you of is not providing a heartfelt reaction. I’m not 100% sure why the Yokohama version is so emotional to watch, but it really is. For me, this is Saiki’s finest moment, her vocal is just beautiful and her emotion is so genuine. Did the dog cry? I can’t afford cocktails by the way.
It's still impress me that even after more than 3h of concert, Saiki (and probably the others too) didn't want to end and continue again and again. I could say a lot about the live version, but I will just quote my own comment under this video : "I wasn't planning on crying today, and at the start of the video I still didn't mean it, but I went from a huge smile to tears of happiness in the space of a few minutes. I know that the Maids call their concert a serving, but I honestly believe that that is not the right word for this video, I think that the audience here gave them as much as they give us. It's not a concert, not a serving, it's an exchange, a meeting, a communion between humans. Seeing the smile on the faces of Saiki, Miku, Misa, Akane and Kanami, gradually becoming a sincere expression of happiness and sadness to say goodbye, of thanks, is just magnificent to observe and personally, fills me with joy to see that despite what is happening in the world, there is still something beautiful. I haven't had the chance to see them live yet (I live in France), but I thank you very much for brightening my day. Kisses from France."
If watching the full conceert make sure is from the stream. The DVD doesn't have all the good stuff between songs and also the mini movie getting ready for the concert
Weird getting a block from Band-Maid with a reaction from their YT channel but I guess it happens sometimes for no discernible reason. This is emotional because it was the final song of a 33 song, 3.5 hour long 10th anniversary tour final gig...and it's a song for everyone to sing along to...and Miku's lyrics are full of love...and it's Band-Maid and we love them! ❤🤘❤🤘
Someone pointed out it may be due to have 3 different videos on it or the length of the video. I’m still new to creating content on YT so I’m learning. Hopefully this is just a weird circumstance
I guess now you know why we are so attached to these ladies. :) They are not the kind of group that comes around the corner every day. They are different, each of them an exceptional person and the connection between them and us is invaluable. They still play tiny venues. A few weeks before playing the stadium at Yokohama Arena I saw them in a tiny basement live house in Akita. 350 people standing capacity, no security, no barriers. Even Kanami's family was in the crowd (mum, dad, brother, sister and their partners). Now I know why Japanese fans take towels to concerts lol! It got really hot and sweaty lol! I saw them four times that year, three times in tiny basements. I never saw any security at all. The fans ARE the security! That's Japan for you though!
Sucks bout the image overlay, YT doing YT things. Great reaction as always. Looking forward to From Now On reaction, might have to be combod with some random instrumentals as they dont have the normal format MV/Live/Fancam. Also Nemophila 🤘 The live MV always gave me church vibes for some reason. Emotional chanting of the chorus maybe 😂 mixed with the connectedness of the band as you can feel the appreciation. If ya got it on hand make a rusty nail sometime by mixing a blended Scotch with Drambuie in a 1:1 to 2:1 ratio. Lemon twist it up if you are feeling fancy. Cheers!
The close their shows with Endless Story. Akane got emotional at the end of the U.S. tour. Now, you want MISA? Try Sayonakidori from the acoustic Christmas concert. She plays lead on bass (I think, in my humble opinion, MISA MISA MISA).

This song was always meant to be an arena song. Kanami and the band envisioned it as such. This show was very meaningful because it was their 10th year anniversary but their first big show which was supposed to be at Tokyo Budokan was cancelled because of COVID. Tokyo Garden Theatre was the makeup for that show, but IMO the Yokohama Arena show was so much better. Saiki leveled up immensely in this show, not only in her performance but her MC'ing. Because it was such a long show, they had several MC breaks with Saiki leading a few of them. She is a pretty reserved individual but she talked and interacted way more during this show.
It was..."Before Yesterday" (You guys see what I did there?) So, you know, I've been enjoying your content over the past 2 weeks (don't think I didn't notice thar bottle of Hibiki you snuck in there at one point) but I have a small 2¢ suggestion. Take it or leave it but .. Not sure how good your speakers are, but if you REALLY want to HEAR Band-Maid instead of just listening to them, you NEED to situate yourself with a solid pair of headphones. And not some wickedly compressed crappy Air Pods but a set of genuine headphones so that you can really separate and hear what's going on underneath and within the music not just the wall of sound coming at you on the surface. Hearing the multiple layers and intricacies will be a game changer, and provide a whole new level to the experience, I promise! Don't just listen to Band-Maid HEAR Band-Maid 🤯 Oh and .. I was at the show with the Miku towels on the bass drum. It was Miku's birthday. House of Blues Dallas Oct 21 '22. They also played one of my all time Favorites, "glory". Incredible show, start to finish.
@@me262a1 if they come to Dallas again I am 100% going!

I was there that night too! And this song wasn’t really on my radar that much until I saw them do it live. Now I listen to it on a regular basis.
Bandmaid loves their fans....and their fans love them. We are very lucky to get to hear this very special group.
Hey you're a real person. Some tears of joy. Keep them coming.
thanks brother
😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Also Japan and one in Hong Kong.
Excuse me while I go and buy a bandmaid shirt just in case 😂
@@ShadeReactsLiveexactly Po!!! As well some CDs and vinyl records
They finally played the show they’d deserved for so long and one they made the absolute best it could be.
damn...
I feel Band-Maid's longevity and success will become Endless Stories in the annals of Rock ‘n Roll history! Thx, Shade!
You really want to cry, check out the Endless Story Heart of Akane Hirose from Chicago 2022. Its a close up of Akane crying her eyes out while playing this song. Last show of the first US tour since the pandemic.
😭😭😭 I can’t see Akane cry again
There's no emotion in the music video. Whereas the live version is nothing BUT emotion. Saiki"s voice is just so beautiful and heartfelt, and 200% better than the MV. And then adding those extra lyrics at the end, showing their appreciation and love to the fans that got them where they are today.... I'm not crying... YOU'RE CRYING!!!😭😭😭
I'm not crying, I just got something in my eye.
@@MaidFrenzy well I’ve only been at this for a few weeks so I don’t think I’m quite on their radar hahah. Maybe one day!!

If I could plan a trip to Japan around both a Band-maid & Babymetal show I would REALLY consider it!
Dallas HoB in
2022 or '23 can't remember exactly, the fans pitched in to buy Miku a birthday cake.
Surprised you saw anything through that ugly overlay I had to put on this video.. lmao Super sick that you were at that show!
Band maid fans very protect of the band so they are very safe❤
I'll be watching the whole reaction. Three versions for any maidiac is just an appetizer!😃🐻❄
The real tears started the song just prior, "Forward." It's about striving despite life's challenges. They showed very early videos of them on the big screen playing in front of only a few in the audience. Miku could barely hold it together.
素晴らしい!あなたは素晴らしい!これからもBAND-MAIDのreactionをお願いします!!
you guys are the best!!
This live performance by Band Maid actually makes me tear up every time I see it. The 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama version is by far my favorite. Not even close.
Thanks for this review. Keep up the good work!
"Shambles" is also a good introduction to MISA if you want to do a song you have not done yet. Otherwise, is "Endless story" actually very good when it comes to show a bass player MISA's unique style. "On Set" has very simple bass lines.
I was at that show in Chicago. No band has ever made me feel as emotional as these wonderful ladies ❤
9:34Three of the LOVEBITES are in the audience at this show.🎀🐺
You are going to appreciate them so much more after you watch the Orenje documentaries , they are all truly remarkable people
What a great way to star my day. Absolutely beauty song. No more words! Great react again, Kitsune. Manners/Black hole!! Manners/Black hole!!! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
💜💛❤💙💚
A perfect ending of a perfect night at Yokohama Arena.
Dude moratorium live in zepp Tokyo po!
This is exactly why you listen to this song last on your Band-Maid journey.
Great milestone for the ladies! Bucket list item to play this song at Yokohama arena!
Us Maidiacs don’t care how long the reaction is…it’s Band-Maid!
Cheers 🥃

Shade, one thing no-one can accuse you of is not providing a heartfelt reaction. I’m not 100% sure why the Yokohama version is so emotional to watch, but it really is. For me, this is Saiki’s finest moment, her vocal is just beautiful and her emotion is so genuine. Did the dog cry? I can’t afford cocktails by the way.
It's still impress me that even after more than 3h of concert, Saiki (and probably the others too) didn't want to end and continue again and again.
I could say a lot about the live version, but I will just quote my own comment under this video :
"I wasn't planning on crying today, and at the start of the video I still didn't mean it, but I went from a huge smile to tears of happiness in the space of a few minutes.
Good to know, thanks!

@@ShadeReactsLive Hopefully. It only happens rarely with most Japanese bands apart from Babymetal, who strike more than anyone.
Song writen to close all their show. Just appreciate the quality of the voice of Saiki after 3 and half hours of show. And for tomorrow go for Onset.
This performance occurred November 2023 10th anniversary concert. About 14 months ago.

You have started to react to Lovebites they were at this show as well the Offical live show
Why is my house always so dusty when I listen to this song?
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Also Nemophila 🤘
The live MV always gave me church vibes for some reason.
This past year, they've played it in the middle.

5th edition or have you strayed from the DnD path?
5th edition for sure! Well idk what you want to call the 2024 players handbook version but that’s what we converted to for our new game.
For your Bass requirement, try Don't You Tell Me live and Play Live...possibly Manners Live as well (and stay for the bonus Blackhole live).
