For your coil pack conversion go to Home Depot or Lowe's and look for a package of compression springs. you can use that to put in between your coil pack in the spark plug extension so that the electricity will flow from the coil pack through the spring to the spark plug extender. I did that for my LS coil pack conversion on my Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo slicktop. The OEM Nissan coil pack extenders have a spring in the bottom that comes in contact with the top of the spark plug that's what gave me the idea to look for a stainless steel compression spring to begin with. It worked perfectly just used a dab of Dielectric grease in the top of the coil pack and in the bottom of the extender between where the spring Meats that way there's no corrosion or anything over time. The person before me did the coil pack conversion and all they did was stuff the coil packs down inside the head it made for very faulty connections. Using the spring with the OEM Nissan spark plug extender I was able to mount the ls coil packs in the OEM location on the 300ZX motor. Same thing you will do on your Jay-Z motor. All you got to do is go to Lowe's or Home Depot and find a 2 to 3 in Long stainless steel compression style spring it was no thicker than 1/4 inch in diameter and it was roughly 3 in Long again I use Dielectric grease on both ends of the spring and i stuff the spring in between the coil pack and the spark plug extender it worked flawlessly that way you don't have to use those spark plug wires between the coil in the plugs

I bought one nearly 10 years ago and can guarantee it has payed for its self 10 times over in coolant and time saved. Iv commended it i so many times on different TH-cam videos and i shake my head every time i see one of them filling a coolant system the old way and then struggling to bleed/belch a coolant system.
I’ve always just jacked the front end up ridiculously high so all the coolant can get through the block and Heater core no problem. I even own Subaru’s, which are notorious for burping coolant lmao

** I just finished a 1jz cd009 swap into my s13 recently, and I'm also using the serialnine cd999 shifter. All forward gears work but my reverse keeps popping out like yours. I bought my trans used, so chalked it up to a bad transmission, but yours is new and appears to be doing the same thing. Please let me know if you ever figure this out. I've tried many things to get reverse to work in the last few weeks but no luck! Congrats on your first drive around man, feels great doesnt it?!
I would hit up Serial Nine. It shouldn’t be popping out, it could just be the adjustment on the shifter throw being too short or something simple. But idk, don’t listen to me because my swaps not done yet lol
Could also be whatever fluid you’re using. I’ve read a lot on the Z/G forums, and almost people don’t like running redline/royal purple or anything besides an oem Nissan fluid because they cause problems
Yeah, I did check with Serialnine and they said it was weird and not an issue they have heard of before. I've tried adjusting the damn thing every which way but no success. The trans was filled with some Kia gl4 MTF that my buddy got since he works at a Kia dealership, but it's the same stuff he uses in his cd009 and it's taken a lot of abuse with no issues.

Was the (what looks to be) increased front camber a side effect of the JZ install? As is also mentioned by the engine/trans sitting very low to the ground. If so you might want to look into a increased spring rate setup for the front coil overs.
The JZ/R154(pretty sure that’s the route he went) is ALOT heavier than an sr setup. The extra weight weighing the car down alters the suspension geometry so it added a bit of camber in the front

Jimmy, Pulling on the push-loc ring LOCKS it. Push the ring DOWN and it will release the tube. Otherwise, simply pulling the hose would unlock it.
