- Hi everyone!
We are very excited to share our new travel day vlog to #Salou! The airport was a breeze, we had a tasty relaxed breakfast. The flight was super quick to Reus as well which was brilliant and we saw some great views from the window along the way.
We arrived at #H10SalaurisPalace really early so we had a few hours relaxing by the pool with a few drinks, playing cards and a quick trip to the Michelangelo shop whilst we waited for our room. So excited to be able to bring a new series of Salou holiday vlogs.
We were staying in the junior suite again so we show you a bit around but if you want to see a more in depth video our previous room tour is here - • H10 Salauris Palace | ...
We then freshened up and headed off to #PortAventura to see their halloween decorations and take in the park. We did the new scare zone for 2023 La Maldición del Emperador Scarezone which even in broad daylight was fantastic! We love this park at this time of year they really do go all out!
After exploring for a while we go back to Salauris Palace and get ready for the evening entertainment. We have our evening meal at the buffet which had a good selection! We then headed out to Danny Boys and The Rock and Grill Cafe on the promenade with a lovely view of the sea. We were really impressed with the seats we were given! We saw the live music at Danny Boys and then stumbled home as Laura had been defeated by her heels!
We see the video out from the hot tub/jacuzzi bath and Laura needed to soak her feet and vowed never to wear heels again! haha Bit of a crazy end to the video really...think the drinks caught up haha

PortAventura is such an awesome park honestly, biggest in Europe definitely worth a look if you find yourself in that part of the world!
Haha it's the only way to enjoy a good bit of acoustics, shame about the ruined feet but all good fun!

This lookes like a fun travel day. Your hotel looked very nice. And there seemed to be a lot of cool places to eat - and drink! But, of course, the highlight appears to be PortAventura which looks like a lot of fun. We are going to go check out some more of the trip to see more of what PortAventura's Halloween festivities are like. Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
It was a fun travel day for sure and only a 2 hour flight so that helped keep spirits high haha PortAventura is fab especially at Halloween it is so well themed! Thanks so much for watching 💙

So bad for your feet. I haven’t worn heels for ages either and don’t think I could now. Can’t wait to see all the adventures in Salou 😊

A very productive travel day. Looks like you’ll got a lot accomplished. The resort looks nice. Port Aventura looks pretty cool during the day so I’m sure it looks awesome at night. The drinks at Rock & Grill looked huge! Danny Boys is a place I would enjoy. Definitely need to rest them feet after all the walking you’ll have done today 👍🏻👍🏻

You definitely should have sold this as a Happy Ending in the hot tub and smashed those views... I would daresay you were just a weeny bit tipsy too... Great start to this series and I'm gagging for some PA right now

I was there around the same time. I didn’t go to the amusement park so can’t comment on it. Weather was gorgeous but it had been approved 8 years since my previous visit and noticed a number of big changes, one was too my hotel the California Palace which I purposely picked as it was very close to the rail station and it had a lot of qualities I liked… sadly those qualities seemed to have gone downhill and it’s now a good 3 star rather a 4*! But the biggest disappointment was the rail station is no more, for some EU madness it’s been closed and the tracks where being lifted when I was there so trips on the train sadly cancelled. Instead I went to the bus planar office and bought a card for 10 local bus trips (€9.40 v €2.05 for each trip) so a good saving. Went to Cambrils a cpl of times and Le Pineda plus used it to get around town. Being N Irish I avoid Irish pubs like the plague but went to an old favourite called the Grapes which has changed ownership so not as good. All in all an enjoyable trip, but 1. Not sure if I would rush back to Salou and secondly def not with Lovholidays
Sorry to hear about the hotel and yeah I’m not too sure why they closed the station. I believe there’s one near PortAventura now but I’ve never actually seen it. It’s always disappointing when things don’t live up to how you remember but i hope you still enjoyed overall! Thanks for watching 💙✨
Probably missed it somewhere but when is it you travelled? Didnt know anything like this existed out of Universal studios (which is a dream for us) xx
We arrived in Salou on September 23rd, it was perfect for us as we avoided the 30 degree Celsius plus weather haha we love PortAventura, used to be owned by Universal 👍 thanks for watching!
I hate to admit this but I have totally fallen out of love with Portaventura. The operations there on my last visit were a disgrace. Cars taken off when there were reasonably long queues to make them even bigger so more people buy Express passes. It`s done on purpose in many peoples option, including Shawn at TPWW who has also said he is done with the place. I have been there so many times and have great memories of the place but I`m done until the current management are out. They are turning the park into a rip off joint. Hopefully the rumours of Universal taking it over are true. I still love Salou, especially Danny Boy, and I`ll definitely go there again but without visiting the parks. I recently went to Europa Park in Germany and that place smacked Portadventura out of the water in every department. Better rides, better theming, better operations. Just better !!!
That’s such a shame but i totally get that and do agree we felt the same we hardly did any rides this time and just decided to focus on the Halloween stuff. The queues were crazy and we didn’t want to get express so it was a different visit this time for us. We must try Europa Park we’ve never been! Thanks for watching 💙✨
