I like Timeless River because not only I love Mickey in the 1920s and 30s, but also because Sora is in his Osamu Tezuka style.
Out of ALL the worlds in the series, I'd have to pick Disney Castle/Timeless River as my favorite world. Why? Because I think it's cool for Sora, Donald, and Goofy going back in time on Disney.

I do like "Timeless River" in KH2. They managed to capture the look of the original art-style/from that Mickey Mouse tug-boat cartoon from a long time ago and I just LOVE it.

i wonder, if sora got defeated in the timeless river, who would help him? the old mickey or king mickey? unless they're the same person and king mickey just can't talk cause it's the past

Whole world is designed as throwback to very first disney shorts. Even the sound is purposely distorted to sound like film reel of the early 1900s. The video quality is designed to be slightly distorted with spots that appear during reels.
