Arnoldo !!! KISS was the first band I was into at 9-10 years old "Alive!" was the first album I got around 1977 I think. I have yet to find a OG copy of the debut. Excellent historical over view I agree a great debut with many iconic songs !!! Now I need to spin the reissue I have. thanks !!!!
What a great video! ♥️ I can't believe they have been around for 50 years. The twists and turns this band has taken is quite remarkable. Those 70's albums are so special. They were pure magic. Thanks for sharing that story about Peter's make up. 🤗 Take care.
Great video my man!!! Excellent job with the mini bio on the formation of the band leading up to the debut album. I have two copies of the first album without Kissing Time. In my opinion it sounds better and more of a raw sound compared to the addition of kissing time on the latter pressings . There’s been discussion on this topic. Maybe you could make a debut album revisited addition and discuss this particular topic. I also have the very first promo vinyl 45 of Nothin to Lose. One side mono, one side stereo. I also have kissing time and nothing to lose as well as nothing to lose and love theme from Kiss all original 1974 first pressings. So now I am collecting magazine articles from 1974 featuring the very first photos and reviews of the band, which I think is really cool.Rock scene and creem magazines. I also have one called bettle from Canada 1974.
@@mikecogar8595 thanks for the compliments. Those are some really special 7” you have. I’ve never heard of the mono version of Nothin To Lose. Pretty cool. One day I hope to come across a first press without Kissin Time. 🤞🏻Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Thank you for that great video 😊 I finally got their debut album on vinyl again, for the flrst time since they were taken from me as a kid, at a record fair in Oslo this fall. It was a very lovely re-aquintance (not to belittle my Kiss CDs). Cheers Morten
Arnaldo I love that you love Kiss! I do not like Kiss, but I LOVE his cover of New York Groove...for that matter about half of that solo album. One of my fav parts about some music from the 70s is how much genre transition there was (or unwitting crossovers?) from many artists (felt like I could hear a bit of that from Frehley on that album...melodic pop hints + hard rock).
Hello, I’m a fellow lifelong KISS fan as well. I got into them when I was around 6 or 7, discovering them around the Alive II album. My dad had it on 8-Track tape! This 1st album is still one of my favorites. Thanks for doing this video.
This was like the third Kiss album anniversary tribute I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kiss Alive was my first introduction to Kiss at age 9. I was so mind blown to see these larger-than-life characters and after listening to them, I was a Kiss fan.
Great video, Arnaldo! Kiss was also my intro to music, and it started for me at 5 years old when Dynasty was released. Then I went back to the beginning. The debut is essentially a greatest hits album. So many hits on this one! Last week I bought the 50th anniversary gold vinyl (that came with a white long sleeve shirt), so I’ll be excited to have that in a couple months.
@@fidelios_frequency yes, it was the OG in good shape and with original sleeve, sounded great, bought for $15, and sold for $150, it did go to a huge KISS fan tho, but now I realize it is a part of music history and would have been cool to have, despite what it’s worth
Great vid my friend! Had no idea Kiss were the first on that label. A lot of cool info on this album that I didn't know.
Yes, KISS have a special place in my heart and in my music journey. Glad you enjoyed it my friend. ✌🏻
Still their best album.

Vance, my first album was Destroyer in ‘76. I don’t have that many blue labels, only Alive! Thanks always for watching! 🤘🏻

Thank you for your support Melinda. You once showed that first pressing without Kissin Time 😍. One day I hope to find a copy in the wild too. 🤞🏻

Wow never thought you would be a Kiss fan! 🤘🏻
Peter's real first name is George.
Yes, of course
Great video, Arnaldo! favorite work from my favorite band!
Thank you, my fellow Kiss fan! 🤘🏻

Ace’s solo album is one of the best of the 4. New York Groove was such an iconic song that it was on the set list of their reunion tour in ‘96. 🤘🏻

Hi Rick! Nice to have you in the “Army”! Love hearing the childhood memories about Kiss. 🤘🏻

Thank you for sharing your story and for watching. Do you plan on opening the 50th anniversary version? 🤘🏻
@@fidelios_frequency yes I will open it. The only Kiss I left sealed so far is the Greatest Kiss picture disc that was released in 2022.
I found a nice copy for cheap, and sold it for much more, which I do regret now that I’m more of a collector now, money means nothing.
Was it a blue label copy without Kissin Time?
