Man I've been looking for a cool blue for a while and couldn't find them. I had one and ended up having a 10" 900 series flange fall on my hood and shattering the it. No welding supply stores in texas/Louisiana carry them. I'm glad I came across this video. Thank you.

I like the rod bender. Your advice about vision enhancement is good.

while welding, I can't see any further than the puddle and the arch, any ideas how to view where I want to weld a bead, Example I start at a 9 o'clock and try to move to the right to a 3 o'clock position, but may end up at 4 or 5 o'clock position, because I can't see the bead

That bender is NICE Gary. At some point I know I'll have a use for one and I'll have to buy one of your kits.

Nice video, as usual! Great way to do it, with less flat area there is less space to collect dust.

Yessss, cheater glasses are the way to go. I also get wraparound safety glasses for all of the safety stuff and they have have a built in little magnifiers on each lens. Kinda like bifocals some what. They are less than ten bucks. Wearing those readers under the hood is the schnizle .

For me, I had trouble seeing as well for detailed images when the hood WAS NOT dark. IOWs when I had my hood down and no arc it was more difficult for me to see. I think for in position welds where you can do production in the same or similar place, it might work better for me. Just a little to dark for special purposes. Worked great once an arc was established... Love the videos Gary... Keep'em up...!!!

Hoping to see puddle definition compared with the different filters. I couldn't see the puddle. Could be the camera exposure.

HELLO, GREAT VIDEO. NOT SURE IF IT'S THE CAMERA ANGLE, BUT THE FIRST ONE (EXTREAM BLUE) SEEMS TO HAVE THE CLEAREST VIEW

I've got a set of 2.0 safety glasses. I never weld without them. Also great for reading drill bits. Thanks.

Hey Gary! Good stuff in that video! Did you do a video on your little rod bender? I remember you says you got the idea from Tom Lipton but I searched both yours and his channels and came up with 0! Point me in the right direction please. Thanks again! Jason, San Diego, CA
