Lol, I have found myself single after 26 years marriage. I so young and nieve back then but now if a man wants to date me the fist thing I ask is "how is your relationship with Jesus?" The next question is how much debt do you have and are you making gazelle intense steps to get out of this debt?". I have finally met a man who does not like debt either and regrets having a student loans AND is working to get out of that debt. If anyone reads this and you are young, DO NOT BE AFRAID to talk money BEFORE your heart gets involved.
We live off one income too :) I entered the marriage with 53k student loan. My husband said my debt was his only hesitation in asking me for my hand in marriage 🙈. One year into our marriage we cashed flow our wedding and paid off my student loan debt- $81k down! One additional thing I would encourage Ppl to talk about is where they plan on living: city, rural, suburbs. There is massive cost difference and hate for someone to find out post marriage their partner wants to live in city with country budget. The definition of high income changes per state.
I've been married for 2 years. When I married my husband I didn't know his credit was as bad as it was. Plus he owes Irs alot of money. So I do not combine my money or accounts with his for fear I may lose everything I got. Any suggestions?
Health issues should also be talked about. There are financial implications with this issue.
Great point! Health issues are the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. Good Healthy = financial health

Are you suppose to be living together before your married and does that rule apply if your not part of the church
Why shouldn't you live off two incomes and one?
People lie and hide facts for decades. My wife did.
