We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
This was a hundred times better than the ring tutorial on how to set up the ring camera thank you very much💯👍

My camera doesn’t line up well when I put the mount to the camera the hex makes it so that the up arrow is off center idk if that hex that connects to camera can be adjusted can anyone help please

Where did you buy the screws at?
My Ring app does not detect or show the battery i put into my Ring stick up cam plugin 3rd Gen ? Anyone knows how to fix this ?

Yeah. It should have come with a couple of screws to mount it. Any small screws should work though if you didn’t get any for some reason. They just need to have a small enough head on them that the camera can slide down over them when you snap it onto the bracket.

Is it just me or the screws that came with mine were super small. Did You have to purchase your own
The ones that come with it are pretty small, but they seem to do the job ok. If you are putting it in sheet rock, you will want to use the mollies (anchors) that came with the screws. If you used larger screws, be sure they have a small enough head that they still slow the camera to attach to the bracket.
2nd and last question. So the official Ring video, they just show them screwing into the wall without the anchors. So the million dollar question is, which is better, to use the anchors or no anchors. In there video they specifically say the anchors are for brick or masonry outside. So im totally confused now. Because i dont know if Ring are idiots or are the people who use the anchors inside are. 🤔

Is your wall made of cardboard? This would definitely not work on a concrete wall home.
Installed on sheetrock in an interior wall. If you were installing in concrete you would need to drill out or use tapcon screws.
I don’t have a plug?
I would think that you could turn off the power and hard wire it in. May want to check instructions before cutting cord as it would likely void warranty. Be safe and if in doubt contact an electrician.

@@amalawad4096 well there's your answer... It is a wireless battery powered camera so it doesnt have a plug. Im sure you could buy one separately but the initial kit doesn't come with one
